First, whether Algeria's economy is Dependant on oil or gas is relevant. The GNI per Capita is 2.5 higher in Algeria than it is in Egypt, and that's all that matters. When the oil runs out, there is gas, gold, phosphate, etc ...
Second, Algeria has huge foreign reserves, while Egypt has none.
Third, Algeria's foreign debt is almost nil, while Egypt has a hard time paying its huge foreign debt.
Huge amounts of money are being invested in Algeria...The future really looks bright.
