I hate rap & hiphop, I really do, but Beck (like Massive Attack) has always found his way into my ears and, yes, my heart. It's mainly the mellowness of his voice, but also the fact that he always finds a melody.

The Information is, in my opinion, just as good as my two other favourite Beck albums (Sea Change & Odelay), and I also like it better than Modern Guilt (which of course is really good too).

I like the way lots of songs on the album are based on a great bass line, like this one ...

What amazes me about Beck is how consistently I love his tunes, lyrics, vocals, and innovative sounds . . . and how consistently disappointing his videos are. Look at his eyes in this video: you can tell he's just going thru the motions, his heart ain't in it. The kung fu guy in the yellow jumpsuit is a joke, and the rest of the visuals don't relate at all to the lyrics, which I think are witty and rather autobiographical for Beck. My advice: do great videos, Beck, or none at all.
