-10 mins flying to battlefield

-15 mins waiting for enemy

-5 mins fight

-another 15 mins to get back to base

I love kids who think BF3 is anywhere close to a simulator.

BF=graphics and good sounds. THATS IT. The game is too scripted and everyone runs around without using tactics or teamplay. So that means most of the players are annoying little teenage kids who know nothing how real military tactics work.

Play Arma 2 or upcoming Arma 3 next year. THESE with good mods are the most realistic simulators. And if you play with real military background people, its that much better. Not this Arcade Bull.

I'd say this is close, but original Operation Flashpoint (rebranded as ArmA: Cold War Assault...not new ones by Codemasters) / ArmA series are the most realistic and epic military FPS out there. Militaries around the world are using the ArmA engine for training for its realism. Battlefield is still great, though. Its a shame they won't port ArmA to consoles... so this is the best on consoles.

Lol no, arma 3 won't be faster or more graphically enhanced than bf3.

Arma focuses more on realism , bf3 is just another run n gun MC arcade shooter.

Anyway the thing with arma is that it is a very realistic combat/infantry sim, it is NOT a realistic vehicle/airplane/helicopter sim for that see proper flight sims like DCS,IL2 etc.

@zauii89 Battlefield isn't quite "Run n' Gun" either. It's somewhere between that and a simulator. ArmA 2 is definitely more realistic (especially with the Project Reality mod), but it's just not fast-paced enough to keep my interest. It's enjoyable, but only for the moment of the kill.

You're just playing solo, not helping your teammates in any way. It's mostly about getting lots of kills, a good KDR and such. No teamwork, no helicopters, tanks, jet planes, etc. It's more for people who like to play alone, which is VERY unrealistic war simulation.
