emission standards... thats the problem.. VW has a sweet turbo diesel car in europe.. but they cant bring it to the US for the same reason.

@xxcaseyballardxx Europe actually has stricter emissions standards than the US, its the company that decides what engines will be available in the different markets, small diesels would be too "underpowered" for american tastes

Why the %!^% don't they put a diesel in the US Colorado?? This absolutely pisses me off. I've owned two Colorados... love the truck, but the mileage would be so much better with a diesel... I'm an Engineer/MBA. GM & Ford deserve the tough times they are dealing with for ignoring customer requests.
