OH MY GOD! Genius behind the kit. Peter Erskine has a style reminiscent of that from the from the early days in jazz. A combination of the New Orleans, bebop, and big band style of jazz. Truly stunning work.

@josiahsuthan That was masterpiece by our Master Painter Louie. It was a finish he came up with called Toxic Rust. We have made only a few of kits in this finish.

They sound really nice, but the problem is: Where is the heck can you actually sit down and try these? I have been to all the major music stores in the Bay Area and none of them has a single DW Jazz Series kit to check out. How can someone be expected to shell out $4K for a kit when they can't even try it out first hand?

At any rate, it sounds nice. Very warm tones and a lot of clarity.

@gretschjazzer Sorry for the availability. It is up to our dealers to stock certain drum kits. The biggest reason we post these videos is for people like yourself to hear how the kit sounds with a knowledgeable artist like Peter to explain the features and sound characteristics.
