it would be ok if you could push Bed Rock then you could make a totally ungriefable house on a pvp server; just build a floating platform of bedrock the same area as the walls 1 block above where the walls extend to :D then you build the floor our of bed rock and make your house out of w/e you want to and if you see some one coming just pop the level and you have a totally impenetrable fortress of bedrock.

im working on something a defense that wont work with dirt houses very useful on servers if people trying to sneek to ur house put any block except dirt block one space after all sides of ur house exept for u doorway make sure its height is same as ur house and there should be 1 piston at the center of each side then put some redstone on all pistons it should only have 1 connection but if u want each piston has own connection then its ok then put lava inside it then u push the button then burn!

Who would even use a defense like that? You can't undo it because cobble doesn't obey the laws of physics, it's useless to other players because they can just dig through, so only effective against mobs,and the materials required to build it are way more than the house is worth. You could make so much better than that with much less work.
