  • funny. in our family we never got anything with nagging.

  • People that actively advocate the philosophy entailing (predation on a young human psyche is a necessity for monetary gain are?) (A) highly functioning sociopaths. Unfortunately sociopathy isn't solely a product of biological condition but also seeds within the fabric of a person's environment: the more we continue to heighten our materialistic values the lower our qualify of life gets and only further thickens the poisonization of the human spirit for each generation to come.

  • @Ichliebemusikundybd s societies and or groups of people have proved that. May we all learn to harness the warmth of self-love in return setting a solid foundation for our children and generations of children to build on. Let's be a nation where our communities rapidly grow beautiful people-our children as well as all of us deserve a genuine chance of pursuit of happiness we must heal our people. Transmitting love and light to all

  • @Ichliebemusikundybd quality"

  • @Ichliebemusikundybd We're roosting a generation of highly functioning sociopaths and in order to rebuild the bridge that has fallen we all need to take play a role in ensuring the safety of our children be met by the agencies and parents designed by nature to do so. We can trade in the act of boasting off about-the car we drive, the size of our house, where we get our clothes, and how much money we accumulate etc for conscious living. Less is always more the Native Americans among other variou

  • good good

  • This woman is going to stand before God one day. If she doesn't have a conscience now she will on that day...

  • She looks like the wicked witch of the west in the Wizard of Oz!!!

  • she talks with her upper lip always above her teeth.. try talking like that its weird

  • Can someone kill that slut please?

  • Ahh, the 90s.

  • What are they talking about? Of course parents can! It's still ultimately their decision. That's why we live in a FREE market society, not a "you have to buy whatever corporations want you to buy" market society. The biggest defense: not being retarded.

  • @tuesdaynightbirdflu The nonsense you talk about is maybe understandable, because you obviously don't have any children.

  • @W1z3k You mean decision-making, freedom, etc? That kinda nonsense? Excuse me but I live in America, not the former USSR, or whatever state it is you live in that devalues liberty and values an equality-authoritarian society instead. And although I may not have children, I obviously was a child, and my parents wouldn't get me something just because I asked for it. If i couldn't buy it myself, I'd get whatever they would want to get me. They were stubborn and thankfully it grew on me.

  • @tuesdaynightbirdflu Well, I won't get into depths of the topic for a youtube comment, but in a nutshell: [freedom =/= "free" market]. Also, freedom is a very biased phrase, and it is usually thrown by american politicians at you (in between the word "democracy", and "change") completely overused and misused, just to sound good... Furthermore, some people (maybe you too) have wrong and ideologised view on freedom, but it's in and of itself a flawed term. I may expand on this later...

  • @W1z3k Please, if you are actually somewhat able to expand on this, do because you're making no sense. Flawed term? A term is a term. It's a single word or phrase used to describe and define something specific. Now if you're talking schemas or mindsets, that's different, but what a term describes is what that is. And this is how at least I define freedom: the ability to make and carry out decisions. Now break it down to how political issues are categorised....

  • @W1z3k ...Social: if the government does not make laws disallowing gay marriage, then gays have the ability to make the decision to get married and carry it out. Therefore, they have the freedom to get married. And the one you feel is supposedly not applied. Economics. Essentially, economics IS the process of making decisions. It doesnt necessarily have to be with currency. But for the sake of discussion, if the government allows parents to buy toys for their kids, then they have the freedom....

  • @W1z3k ...to buy toys for their kids. They have the ability to make the decision to buy toys, and carry out that purchase. Now, freedom is not defined in the words of WISE or RESPONSIBLE decisions. It's simply 'decisions." However, freedom itself does help to do that. Whenever you do carry out a decision, there is a consequence, Now, considering the carried out action does not interefere with another's ability to make and carry out decisions, then almost always the consequence helps determine...

  • @tuesdaynightbirdflu ...You may be as stubborn as you like, but the child will develop "wonderfuly" clever ways to nag you, and if one succseeds to exceed your limit of tolerance, the couice is up to you what to do: you either permit, or use some method to lower the factor of child's nagging ability somehow else. Now, the sad thing is, most parents are not as clever in developing the ability to lower that factor of their childs, as the children developing in the nagging ability, so they see...

  • @tuesdaynightbirdflu ...only one person. Rather it's a chain of (sometimes chain-reaction) of past decisions and events manifesting in the present.

  • @W1z3k I meant: "...only one person['s decision]." But I think you get the point.

  • @W1z3k ...if the decision is "wise." Now, of course that's impossible that all personal decisions could never interfere with any others, and so that's why we have government, to determine the best compromise to prevent interference. Of course, it's only the BEST, so it'll never be perfect, but if you really believe that freedom is the best value to implement as much as possible, then such a government is the best choice. So, if you believe that freedom is NOT defined that way, then you got me.

  • @tuesdaynightbirdflu I'm talking about the fact, that our choices are inheretly consequences of the events around us. The usual person doesn't have such fanatical commitment to much of their thoughts, that they'd even die for their beliefs. With this in mind, everyone - including you - have a certain limit to which extent you insist on a thougt, and if the limit is exceeded you'll rather permit to let the circumstance go (which in this case is your child nagging)...

  • @tuesdaynightbirdflu ...permitment as the only option left. Back to my first point: If we keep in mind this model, that permitment is entirely dependent on the event's circumstances, then with "clever" marketing techniques parents can be made to buy more for their kids. It's that simple. Who made the last decision? Arguably the parent. But the person who made the advertisement is also responsible for this effect. We live in an interdependent reality, certain events are not the consequence of...

  • @W1z3k The problem with your model is what people USUALLY do. They're not exactly limited to such high influences. Now I wouldn't lie and say that advertising on parents and kids doesn't have any effect. It definitely has a very high influence. However, the parents still have the ability to go against that temptation. In biopsychological terms, it's called the prefrontal cortex. It's the main part of the brain that prevents one from making impulses. Of course some people's are stronger than...

  • @W1z3k others, but you do have the power ultimately to go against it. You'd be mad to think that life wouldn't put temptations in your way of things you don't truly want to do. The fact that you have to deal with such things makes someone a smarter person, impulsiveness wise. Of course your parents should raise you to help with such temptations as well. Life is a "game" really. The "good" and the "bad" decisions always play it out, and ultimately the individual strives for the good.

  • Don't let yourself and your kids watch commercials! If you want to show your kid good educational programs, rent them, or buy them cheap on ebay.

Rented or purchased DVD is enough for kids. No TV for kids! But if you are an adult and like some cable channels, watch your favorite shows and you can mute, walk away, close your eyes for about 2-3 commercials 30 sec. each.

  • the parenting style is being messed up, manipulated and shaped by greedy companies who sell products for kids...

  • We can manipulate our children just as easy as marketers. Turn off the TV and learn to say no. In fact - teach your children about why they need to say no. My kids truly understand the role of advertising and why we shouldn't listen. EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN!

  • @fireflydigital How did you educate them?

  • @W1z3k Same way you teach them about any topic. Expose them to manipulative advertising etc and then help them understand how they are being manipulated. Kids are way smarting than we give them credit for and they know when someone is trying to trick them just as well as we do.

Marketers really aren't that smart on the whole and often use techniques that are quite transparent.

  • This a great tool for keeping the Birth Rate down.

Nagging Children and over worked parents trying to pay for it all.

  • I would call these people conspiracy nut jobs but I learn the exact same things in my Marketing classes...

TV needs to end before our society does...

  • Nice work. keep it up. tyjuyhj

  • My little sister nags my parents saying she wants everything she sees in almost every ad, but she never actually pursues it and just says she wants it. Doesn't really matter if she gets it or doesn't get it, she might not even remember it after awhile.

  • if only this woman's concern for what the constant stream of kids advertising is doing to little ones was as sizeable as her teeth, then there'd be some hope! time spent in front of the tv should be minimal. if you have kids, step up and be a parent - ie inspire through your action not lack of it. it really is that simple!!

  • that is great, keepit up man

  • There is a very effective way to combat this. Get rid of cable television in your home. I have two children, neither one of them nag for anything I haven't subjected them to. I don't set my kids in front of a T.V.

  • ethical or not???? I'm curious what definition of ethical includes deliberately manipulating a child, and causing friction between a child and their parents, just to drive profits.

  • very good informative video, ethical or not the debate will go on.
