My personal theory is the Government and or NYC setup explosives in the WTC as well as other building to control a collapse if one was possible. If one or both towers fell in a direction other than straight down it would wipe out several blocks. That would explain why the building pancaked. But from all the evidence and lack of evidence it appears it was an inside job.

I do think they had prior knowledge, like they did with Pearl Harbor, but did nothing to stop it. The World Trade Center buildings going down, like the attack on Pearl Harbor, gave the government the public support they needed for entering war.

It is pretty much accepted fact now that FDR knew the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor. The behavior of the govt and govt agencies just before the WTC attacks proves they had prior knowledge.
