I played this game on and off in a league with some friends for about a year lol. Even though it's pace was dead slow, it was one of the best footy titles for the CPC.

Plays like it's underwater. This game needs to be played on a good emulator to speed it up. Then it actually becomes fun to play, not a chore.

Games actually were a bit slower back in the day though so don't blaim it all on emulators. I started up my spectrum a few months back and was quite shocked at how badly fondly remembered games had aged.

Yep it's not the emulator. It played exactly this slow back on my 464 in the 80's.

I bought this for the CPC464 when it first came out and remember thinking it was very slow compared with my other CPC games. Still loved it though and so did my Commodore 64 fanboy friend (the version for his was terrible)

I play it on an emulator on my xbox, but you can also play it on your PC. There are a few CPC emulators around but I think WINAPE is one of the best. Get it at winape dot net. Let me know if you need help getting the games etc.

Used to spend hours on this game as a kid in the 80's. It really felt like the best football game around. Looking back at it I have to say while it is still fun to play, it is not as brilliant as I remember. I have been spoilt by games like FIFA and Pro Evolution since then. But then these early games should be looked at in the context of when they were made and their contribution to the evolution of gaming.
