  • HWPO: Hard Work Pays Off bitches.

  • they'll probably thank him when they're grown up rich living in a mansion..

  • That's child abuse seriously

  • after all this they still dont win shit in the olympics

  • there are worse things. athletes take these guys, it's better to go addicts or vagrants. also, I guess these guys have parents who accept these methods ... I guess it's cultural issue, also does not seem bad. from birth prick us, put us in balance cold, give us a CHIRLA WHEN WE SEE THE LIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME!. Life is harder than a workout. It's worse when, after a lifetime struggle with anything you get on your hands.

  • what think the parents on!!!!!!!!

  • this looks like torture but this is how you train for something this big. I mean if you dont win you have to wait like another 4 years and with so many competitors it's hard to be the best. I guess if you're training for adult pro sports you cant really hit yourself so you push yourself to do it but the intensity is still really high.

  • @SSgtParmer Pinceton and Harvard are in the US, but +50% of the student population are foreign students.

  • @SSgtParmer I too am glad you are not Chinese. Gosh, what an embarrassment to the human race!

  • @SSgtParmer You know something, a lot of my old friends from China who couldn't get into any university there got into Ivy league schools including Stanfard, Princeton and Harvard. Ya, those schools are ranked highly, but the level of competition to get in is no where close to that of Chinese universities. So I I wouldn't put so much stock in elite US schools. As a good friend of mine who got into Stanford said, every other loser who can't get into a university in China is studying at Stanford.

  • nice

  • that means if they dont do well in the olympics, they can still join the military spec-ops

  • @SSgtParmer I believe Princeton and Harvard were used as metaphors. PLEASE dont go Hitler on China, lying about mental superiority. What do you mean by chinese "suck"? Is it that they don't want to go on a murderous rampage against the their nation? Or are you saying that you could beat the crap outta them singlehandedly? Or perhaps you're just another person who takes their wealth for granted, unable to understand what the athletes are doing this for. You're probably racist. I'm Canadian BTW.

  • this is....just sick.

  • that fucking sick!

  • @sillymillie123 ya by a long shot too

  • CNN sucks they are drama queens on TV lol one sided and lame

  • OMG did you see how far he bent her backwards??? That looks like it would break her back!!!

  • @casacorrer Do u know a sport names gymnastics?

  • @shenzhenzhong duh i just watched it is this video

  • this makes me sick seeing this. I just don't understand.

  • I remembered doing 40 sit ups in my gymnastics sessions when I was small, it was pretty fun actualyl. But for little girls to do 60?? Crazy.

  • this is a traditional biased news made by west media.

I fucking hate the west media.

  • Wow. How unexpected that someone called "Maomao667" likes everything about China. Mao's bad news. Everyone knows it. And it's also common knowledge that training too hard when you're just a child isn't good for you. What a good way to ruin someone's childhood. You did see that that the children weren't enjoying themselves at least I suppose? They're driven too hard, and against their will as well. Even her father said so

  • @Zoidypoo89

    stupid retard.

That's why the people of your country is so lazy and dumb.

This vid has nothing to do with human rights or politics.

Every chinese believes that if someone want to make a great acheivement they have to make some sacrifice.

    No pain, no gain.

Besides, I also believe the USA has the same trainning ways for their atheletes.

  • @maomao667

Besides, We Chinese people all know Mao has his dirty little secrets. I personally think he is half good and half bad. But still, he is legend.

I name myself "maomao", because I extremely like mao (cats prounced in mandrin) LOL

  • @maomao667 The issue is not what Mao wanted or what the current Chinese government wants, it is whether you can think for yourself and make your own decisions. Is a communist government what you would like to serve? If so, good, so be it! If not, then why are you still supporting a communist government?

  • @Averagebum2

I am not supporting communist government. I am just telling the truth that China is having stunning growth.

  • I fully agree China is having stunning growth. This is due to several factors, a big one is that Chinese workers are willing to work for far less wages than workers in more developed countries.

They can do this because the cost of living in rural China is relatively low.

So many businesses from more developed countries are outsourcing their work to China. This is good for China, but it doesn't speak much about the government.

  • Very nice of you calling me names. Just because I don't agree with you. That's cute (: Keep it up.

"My country?", so you think all people in SWEDEN are lazy and dumb then do you? Yeah, I guess we came up with the biggest award for science because we're lazy and dumb. Ever heard of the Nobel prize?

And now you speak for all one billion people living in China. Yeah. I'm sure every single one agrees with you

No pain no gain is something that applies to really motivated ADULTS. Not children

  • @Zoidypoo89

Nobel prize is biased and shitty, Because it was just given to Obama who claimed War is still necessary ? That is a big joke.

So the Nobel peace prize is a big lie.

No pain no gain is a great spirit which is useful to each human who wants acheivements. When they succeed they will think the pain they go through is worthwhile.

  • Not to criticize, but I doubt that you're informed enough in USAs business to know what the best course of action is. I'll bet you anything that if USA was to just take back their troops and leave Iraq alone, they wouldn't have democracy. They SHOULD do what they did for Japan. Which is, give them democracy and free elections. And you can't do that by just taking back troops. The nobel peace prize has also been given to Dalai Lama, which I think is an excellent choice

  • And btw, the Nobel peace Prize is actually awarded in Norway, not Sweden. Just so you know

Yes. It is. But look at the little children's faces... do they look like they want achievements and winning? They look like they wanna be children. Play games with other children, do fun stuff, go to school. Not pressing their bodies until they puke blood. They're little children for crying out loud. Too much training ISN'T good for you when you're that young. It's scientifically proven

  • @Zoidypoo89

I have to say it's quite intresting to argue with you, because I can practise my English by doing so. :)

I may disgree on something, but I will never change my opinion. I still think hard trainning ways are indespensible.

Every country needs hard trainning ways, maybe it is a little cruel but we can help but it, otherwise just go home knitting.

  • That's great man. Seems like you're better at english than most chinese people? From what I've heard asians tend to have a hard time learning english, since the grammar is very different compared with your own etc. In a way it's really good to be in Sweden if you wanna learn english really well, we're exposed to english everywhere. We never dub our films or anything, and almost all music is in english. So you're around it all the time (: Not a day goes by without exposure to english

  • Hard training is crucial, yeah, but I think that a lot of talent is wasted by damaging the kids' health at that age. What if they were to become great in the future if it wasn't for that tendon that tore when they were young? Or a muscle inflammation? Or if their bodies stop growing the way it should? And the ladies have to worry about messing up their menstrual cycle as well. The children should be able to choose to do what they find interesting and fun too. They need to be able to be children

  • @Zoidypoo89

    You are right about something.

But it is ver sad that someone has to sacrifise themselves for the achievements.

  • @Zoidypoo89 Unfortunately, for many of these kids' families, their futures apart from sporting stardom is farming for the rest of their lives, and living in poverty.

  • @Averagebum2

    You know shit !

If these kids win in matches. They will be rewarded .

This is the best way for poor families to get rid of poverty.

  • Maomao, you totally misunderstood me. I was trying to tell Zoidypool that sports is the only way these kids can get out of poverty. I am far more familiar with the Chinese system than you think. I am Asian and I live in Asia.

  • @maomao667 thats ok then, Ill have a kid and make he work like an adult so I can profit

  • @Averagebum2

You are greatly worng. In China more and more kids in rural area hava chance to go to school. The Chinese government has spent millions of dollars on average education. Most of kids from poor families have changed their fate by having education.

  • That is good then. Why then do selfish fathers like the one in the video claim that sporting stardom for their kids is the way to an easy life? Or was that the commentator's mistranslation?

  • practice makes perfect

    achevements lies in hardwork.

  • Disgust Chinese reallity to children, this vidoe is very brave and great.

  • Those kids are too little to be doing that shit! They need to be in school and playing games.

  • I'm Chinese and a United States citizen. These kids are being mistreated by the Communist Party.

The Chinese love their children. The pressures of communism are driving these people crazy.

  • you stupid motherfucker

this has nothing to do with communism.

the oriental believes practice makes perfect, achevements lies hardwork.

  • you are the foolish one. should you continue methodically insulting people, it might be that you come to insult someone who knows who you are or that someone realizes who you must be.

there is no easier way to bring real harm on oneself and ones actual family than by insulting strangers, thinking oneself insulated by a fragile and fictional distance.

we're all in a small community here. do not think you're forever anonymous and safe, even if you're having someone type or are quoting.

  • @septembervirgin

    well well well

So what's your purpose of telling me this.

    A threat ? =)))

Just think about those fuckers who started insulting first.

Plus, I have seen too much racist words towards Chinese. Maybe you are with them.

    =)))

  • all the parents of those childres are CRIMINALS !!!!!!

  • This is absolutely unspeakable. Chinese are born to be brutal and the chinese will do whatever it takes to stand on top, by killing, exploiting, lip singing or anything. IF thats what they are doing then its better not to have olympic at all.

  • you ppl guess who gets most of metals in olympic ?

  • ABSOLUTLY DISGUSTING

  • fatality....omg... 0:16

    SPINAL BREAK! CHINESE WINS!

  • I wish I had this type of training at their age.

  • fucking chinese barbarians

  • I think that was too strict. but many parents want to send their children to that kind schools. Those kids will have great future...

  • This is terrible, what this girls will do in 50 ?

  • and thats why we get results. cuz our people are tougher and arent afraid to push ourselves to the max

  • Chinese soldiers shooting at unarmed civilians are not tough. They are cowards.

  • "underaged" girls are more flexible.

  • Typically stereotyping. I bet you don't even know what a 'american' means. "american" can be any ethnicity that is living in America (white, asian, black.) America is the melting pot, look it up on google.

  • yeah our people just push themselves to the max more cuz we can handle it. oh yeah china got the highest points on medals, contrary to what us media tells you lot. dont believe your propaganda

  • Yeah, anyone can push to the max. China won more gold medals than America but the US won more medals. Yeah, I read it, doesn't seem propaganda to me. I don't tend to always believe what the media says as they can not always be right. Chinese media is no better, I mean common! 'lip sync, fireworks, fake picture of Tibet'

  • yeah like the west never did the stuff like lipsynching. lol milli vanilli, britney, spice girls

and everywhere else in the world they count the medals as points. gold 3 points

    silver 2 points

    bronze 1 point.

  • Anyone can lip sync but doing for political gain is not right. I already know what the Olympics is.

  • what political gain? all just to look nice thats all

  • Actually, USA had the most medals. USA also had a more humane way of training, developed from the will of the athlete, not by coercion.

  • Show me a US athlete that was recruited from a foreign country jianlian. Particularly in gymnastics. The truth is that the Chinese gymnast who won the gold was underage, and won through a cryptic technicality on the score cards. That is cheating.

  • CNN is a just a shame of Human society.

  • Nobody can make it without hard work.

  • well liu xiang could not run. So what happened to him. I guess hes not dead yet is he. CNN is making me nervous. Wow..anyway i am sure liu xiang is still well and alive and looking forward to the next one in england.

  • No duh, I experiance the same thing. One this I never want to do is let down my parents.

And have you ever thought that maybe they don't WANT to quit? Here you are, complaining overseas that China's is cruel and unfair, when you don't know what those athletes are even thinking!

Just because they don't quit doesn't mean they can't. They don't quit because they know the meaning of working hard. They don't want to bring shame because they actually LIKE their family. They don't feel the need

  • (con't) to leave their family at the age of 18 to "be free" unlike most Americans. They WANT to make their parent's lives easier and vice versa. You don't know the life style of China nor do you know the reasoning behind allowing their children and opportunity of a life time because in America, those opportunites are litterally handed over to you. You don't even need to work for them.

  • this training is not torture, intense, yes!!

however, as a player, you can do anything that is legal to win. it is up to yourself as long as NO ONE force you to do.

but... a child should enjoy life and not do walks upside down.

  • So describe the "next level".

And I've SEEN what they go through.

I've been to China to see what training is like there.

They work hard to succeed, to make their families' lives better.

Sure they go through pain at a young age, but what kind of athlete doesn't?

It's not like they can't voice out their opinion and quit. Someone will just quickly replace them.

CNN just screams biased in every direction to make it sound like China operates like a machine and have no care for anyone.

  • Maybe that's because China does operate like a machine and doesn't care for anyone. China is an abomination not unlike Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union. They take people who question their government and either put them brainwashing camps, or kill them and harvest their organs.

  • Yes, and I can tell you get this information from the media. Of course everything the media tells you are true. I mean, you possibly wouldn't have gone to China to actually experiance anything. And of course I government isn't corrupt at all! It is sooo much better than China where we just go into any country for their oil and make up a pathetic excuse. I mean, our government is ALWAYS fair and we are the angels of this world.

Yea, right. You know close to NOTHING about China.

  • damn no wonder chinas doing so well in the Olympics

  • they could get like a broken arm or something if they were pushed to hard :'(

  • Oh god, if you think that US gymnasts don't go through almost the same thing, you really are naive. Ask any elite gymnasts and they will tell you that it is an intense sport. But don't stop there, ask ANY athlete the pain they had to go through to win and they will tell you that it wasn't easy, but when they win, they will also tell you that it was worth it. CNN is full of bullshit.

  • CNN is always full of shits, is that why your country is so shitty in winning medals? BTW those kids weren't forced by the government or anything. They joined by their own wills. Many even wanted to join and rejected just because they are not qualified. Of course no kids like to go through hard training because they are KIDS. But it's just like in real life, if you study hard you will go to good school like Harvard and Princeton but if you slack off and party all the times u will whine.

  • @tougefreak Do you really believe that small kids in the age of 6 or younger by their own will wants to train like slaves? I've read a biography about a chinese guy who we're send back to china to train with his well respected grand father in the meterial arts of kung fu. He hated him and he even tried to murder him. He attended all kinds of tournaments, the world champion ship 3 times and he won first place 3 times. Then he became a body guard and then a criminal. The parents want them to do so

  • @tougefreak What was the medal count in 2008? Yeah, I think we beat the shit out of your country anyway.

The way you treat children is the way Americans treat animals, those instructors who hit little children are cowards.

  • @tougefreak the kids did not have a choice to join in this training you ignorant dumbshit they were forced to by their parents it is the parents who are responsible for their children and this is just sick the way the communist chinese treat children yes hard work does pay off but not at the circumstances the chinese have i cannot believe that you would call out an internationaly recgonized station, saying ther full of shits when obviously the only thing full of shits is your head.

  • @yellowbelly6743 FYI is has nothing to do with communism. But does make it any less horrible.

  • @Kiddowesth how does this have nothing to do with communism it is the entire concept of communism put into training

  • @yellowbelly6743 The ideology of communism foucuses on a class- & stateless society, to give power to the working people and have common ownership over property, share means of production etc.

So tell me, is China any way a classless society?

Its an oligarchy, possibly a dictatorship. The state controlles everything.

  • @yellowbelly6743 I agree with this, what kind of child at the age of 6 is going to willingly choose to train this hard? please dumbfucks open ur eyes...

  • Yo FATPIGLAZY. I think you're a STUPID FAT PIG. Any human being (which does not include you and the pigs running China) watching this clip would feel sorry for the poor little children for having to go through so much pain and suffering just so Hu Jintao could brag to the world "how great China is." But please, you're in a free country now (not China, where you probably would starve by now), so don't make ingorant and babaric statement like this.

  • Imagine when she grows up! Shell be a national hero. In China its better to work hard when your a child and live a smooth life as an adult. Its not much of a childhood but it pays off.

  • wow, sorry its not worth it. I dont want to live in China, sparta, or any other state that treats my child like that. Insanity.

  • yeah ppor children indeed..I think it is not worth so much suffering.....

  • poor*

  • WTF!..i wonder how they train soldiers in china?

  • well no shit. the younger trainer are the hardest. Because it's their job to elimate all but the best. But things gets better as they move up the latter. It's stupid to film young people training, why don't you film adult/olympic people training??

  • aww poor girl :(

i understand the quest for gold in china is serious, but kids shouldnt be treated like that.
