I guess if you're training for adult pro sports you cant really hit yourself so you push yourself to do it but the intensity is still really high.

Ya, those schools are ranked highly, but the level of competition to get in is no where close to that of Chinese universities. So I I wouldn't put so much stock in elite US schools. As a good friend of mine who got into Stanford said, every other loser who can't get into a university in China is studying at Stanford.

I fully agree China is having stunning growth. This is due to several factors, a big one is that Chinese workers are willing to work for far less wages than workers in more developed countries.

They can do this because the cost of living in rural China is relatively low.

So many businesses from more developed countries are outsourcing their work to China. This is good for China, but it doesn't speak much about the government.

Hard training is crucial, yeah, but I think that a lot of talent is wasted by damaging the kids' health at that age. What if they were to become great in the future if it wasn't for that tendon that tore when they were young? Or a muscle inflammation? Or if their bodies stop growing the way it should? And the ladies have to worry about messing up their menstrual cycle as well. The children should be able to choose to do what they find interesting and fun too. They need to be able to be children
