People believe what ever the hell they want to believe. It's a fact that FGM is prohibited in Islam. Notice the people who practice this ritual are poor and uneducated not to mention live their lives depending on what suits their community and culture rather than themselves. I'm half arab and I know all to well that the uneducated DO NOT know the difference between Faith and Cultural belief. I'm also a Muslim and up until recently didn't know this was done in arab countries or excused as Islamic

Quran says Islam was the religion of all prophets and all people are born Muslims, So that means people born before Mohammed weren't born Muslims. Your words and thoughts are kafir. The practice is declining because the people are learning that it has nothing to do with Islam. This practice existed ihn Christianity and Judaism before Islam was revealed. Most African Christians practice it to this day. It is a cultural thing not an Islamic thing.

Islam is based o the Quran and sunnah not culture. Even pagans in Africa practice FGM so no it is not an "Islamic thing." Islam has a doctrine and that doctrine is the Quran.

Islam forbids FGM yet it happens all the time within the Muslim community. What do we say when Islamic doctors perform female genital mutilation all the time for their religious beliefs? Far from being prohibited, it is an Islamic ritual therefore it is an Islamic thing. People try to sugar coat Islam. There is nothing more tiresome than people claiming Islam is not what it truly is. christianity phorbids sex so badly and yet every christian have multi partner sex,? when u judge on religion , judge the teachings not followers cuz no one will be an angel !!!!besides KSA which is the only country that have no nonmuslims don't perform FGM . The Mufti of Egypt has stated ( FGM is Prohibited ) .Sheikh Sharawi said (circomcision on both sexes is not a duty ). 1more evidence is the 2 daughters of the honored prophet .

Just because people kill each otherbecause they are a different race or religion, does it make that a racial or religious crime??? A black guy kills a white guy for raping his daughter, is that a racial crime? a man kills another and then later finds out he was jewish not christian like him... does that make it religious??? no it does not. Look , Islam has a book which is called Quran just like other religions have books . This Quraan has never mentioned any kinda circomcision for either females or males . it's said about the believers (and those who are gurds to their private parts) think of this sentence , u will see that Islam is the only religion that doesn't consider sexual organs dirty . coming to the doctors , what makes u sure that a medicine graduated man knows much about religion? He does it without knowing the truth.
