too bad that most of the people in Leslie County are discouraged from visiting or using the facilities at Wendover. We are so proud of FNS but access to the "big house" is very limited (unless you are a midwife from the Notheast).

I lived on Wendover several years back. I've took my family and preacher friends from all over America to eat at FNS. IT IS BY FAR THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN LESLIE COUNTY and most of the local folks don't even know they serve food. GREAT SLIDE SHOW!!!!
Thanks, I really like creating unique slideshows I always try to give them a nice artistic look & flow something different & more creative than just the normal slideshow everyone else makes. I'm very happy with this slideshow & it's still on of my favorites.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful show. What memories it brings back! I worked as a RN at FNS during 1974-75. I grew up there as a young newly graduated RN. I miss the mountains & the people to this day. The spring dogwood & redbud contrasted by the dark green evergreens is implanted in my memory. Ah, and the stories I could tell of those days when nursing at the old Hyden Hospital was so antiquated, but what good patient care we gave with what we had to work with. Thank you
