  • no one needs a house that big to live in. Royalty holds no purpose either. it's a complete waste of resources.

  • This is not in Jerudong. I think it's somewhere near Edinburgh Palace? The one near to MinDef..

  • No doubt the house needs repair. No big deal with the amount of money the sultan possesses. Also I am sure many Bruneians, who love the sultan, are happy to volunteer to clean up the mess, make the house beautiful again, and provide efforts in maintenance of the estate.

  • where the hell do you get inside this property....do not used this video to us...im bruneian and i love my king and the country...stop!!!!

  • This Place located at Highway road somewhere between at Jerudong Area ! lihat saja .. ada pagar warna hitam macam kan masuk dalam hutan usul nya !

  • i want prince Jefry In Power

  • PS I AM NOT FROM BRUNEI I AM HONEST PERSON WHO LOVES THE TRUTH AND HATES PROPAGANDA

  • WHAT IS YOUR POINT BRITISH BOY THIS IS BRUNEI NOT ENGLAND HIS MAJESTY IS BUSY TO HELP HIS PEOPLE SO DONT BOTHER WITH YOUR CHEAP VIDEO LONG LIVE BRUNEI LONG LIVE HIS MAJESTY

  • Just like Angkor Wat

  • have you seen it now?? in 2011?? it has changed, improved...

  • mana kan ni??

  • wow dumbasses!!

  • i was just thinking about what that building was yesterday, i went to google earth and i tot it was occupied by a royal family but i tot wrong=O

  • @kepalasependit diam tah kau ey

  • @Free123Forall wats ur problem?

  • I know wheres the located. Near along highway to jerudong

  • Oh my.

    What a lovely house. :o

    (On the before shots anyway.)

  • How sad. To let such a majestic residence rot away.

  • i know this i live near there. the government donate it to a poor family causing one of them panic attack. thus huanting the house now.

  • this was my farm which i donated to sum poor people so tht they can earn thr living.chow.

  • juste l'entré sa fait 15 foix ma maison :D !!!

  • Such an wasted wealth by dummies..

  • They should rent these out or allow use to the public. That way the property doesn't rot.

  • Are these the houses that were Prince Jefris, bought with some of the millions he pissed up the wall...

  • I live in a turtle

  • to whom yg mempost video ani, how can u enter the property? is it really unattended?? i don't think so? if its a normal abandoned building, yes u can easily enter..But this is royal residence, its mean u a trespasser eventhough its unattended/abandoned..and I'm sure u sneaking to go inside..It should be guarded by GRU..

  • Oh shit, Its on EBAY now. Only five dollars! Im goin to snipe it!

  • I think that is wery stupid to build that big house!

You could have half of that size and be happy!!

    Like me!!

  • yes mate but if you have money to spend you goota spend it somewhere. They will never spend it on charity but will buy such extravangas

  • if that make them happy!!

  • @Ibersexualac You have a 20,000 sq ft home? I think you're pretty happy... Not. Happiness doesn't come with wealth or things... thats one thing Brunei showed me. I'll live in a cardboard box under a bridge and be happy before I put myself through dealing with (by birth, not by choice) all of the duties and requirements mandated on you in such a life.

manheld12, they spend much money on charity. In fact HRH adopted many orphaned children, every Bruneian has a free home and auto at 18yo.

  • @473009723

    that was joke!!

i dont have that big house!!

    I dont need it!!

    Carpe Diem!!

  • looks just like my house...

  • first of all, it wasn't the sultan's palace, it was Prince Jeffri's... his exiled brother. would you run the maintenance on your exiled brother's extravagant palace? It has now been handed over to BIA (as are most of Jeffri's other properties) who are in charge of fixing it up should they find a use for it.

oh also, maintenance on a place like that would NOT cost "next to nothing" considering that it's a residence and does not generate any money.

  • obviously with the amount of money the royal family has and cheap labour in brunei...the cost WOULD be next to nothing...

  • @purpleice8

thats what people dont get, the labor is extremely cheap. Building anything like this in the US would cost 10x more money.

  • it is not because the sultan didnt maintance this mansion !its because he dont want to !who would wana was so much money on this old chunk !the sultan of brunei spend his money on pensioner , luxury cars and public goods ! he event didnt collect tax from the people !he use his own money yoh !

  • let me solve the problems here..for those who making this video,is a bunch of loser.framing our sultan like he cant afford to hire maintenance worker..on 1:36 for all of u guys, its and editing footage...and this one is "Brunei Royal Residence"..try look on the "Brunei Royal Residences" 1:36 video..

and for the last of it to prove it..on the beginning it says "Status of property before handover to the BIA" not "before handover to the sultan"

  • I can feel it, this place is haunted, the house, the land. No one dare to live here...

  • Dear Sultan Of Brunei, (if he ever visits you tube, haha!)

i would be willing to leave my Canadian home to live in one of His Royal Highness' residences!!! (will it be a wise move? me thinks...)

but i would love to :)...

  • I believe there is still some empty mansion in Kuala Belait for the Sultan family...I meant wife of Sultan brothers whom their lifetime guarantee expired - they don't divorce their wife - they put in a wharehouse in Kuala Belait.

  • I hate that part of the world- if someone handed me a luxury residence over there i would reject it.

  • well the first question is do you think any one si goignt o just hand you a luxury residence period...before u start mouthing it off as if ur too good

  • where is brunei

  • in the near of malaysia

  • dude, if i lived in Brunei i would move into that place and become a squatter, LOL!!!

  • I'll give you $500 if I can film you doing it.. This Brit narrator is talking out of his bum... I've always wanted to see the Gurkha Guards slice up an intruder with their kukri... Now that would be quality YouTube!

  • Why was it abandoned?

  • so they own the country and the residences, they can do whatever they want with them it's not like they're rental property.

  • lol sayang baik tah dijadikan hotel atau shopping complex datang jua $

  • very interesting video

  • kementerian ato tah talur dibiarkan nya nda g beusai...sayang2 rumah untuk disewakn kh apakh? what a waste!!!

  • sayaaaaanggg jua!!!!!!

  • this reflects a bad image for the royalties, i wonder how they manage their finances?

  • basar2 pun rumah mun Allah inda berkenan dan merahmati cemani lah jadi nya. harga tempat ani ntah yang berjuta-juta jua kali mun duit atu di buat rumah untuk low income people di Brunei tantu bisai jua. ish ish.

  • if i were to purchase this palace...whom do i have to contact?hee ;)

  • Siapa tah tinggal di sini? hantu?

  • baik pulang dijadikn tempat belakon...inda payah jauh2..heheh...

  • millions of millions of people have no home, but look at this!!!!! my golly what a waste!!!

  • Sayang sayang, kalau diberi arahku bangunan ani, masa awal2 maintenancenya terhenti. Nada camani usulnya. Jual tanah for 100k++ untuk maintenance dua bulan sekali.

  • fuck those guys. give it to me i'll take care of it!!!

  • thats to bad because that looked like a beautiful palace

  • Are da lights owez on inside?

  • dmana kan ni?lawa eh....sultan pnya kah??huhhu

  • :( :( :(

  • Ok, i agree with you all that it is a waste of money. He he. Why dont't convert it bceome a ministers residence compound. Just a suggestion.

  • truly a waste of money, time and effort. If only the maintenance and continuation of building and completion has been done, it wouldn't be costly when and if the management decides to continue.

    sayang... sayang...

  • Ive never seen this building all my years living in brunei. where was it?

  • istana edinburgh kah ni?? jangan susah, bill gate atau donald trump karang turun kemari membali istana ani...

  • No, it's not Istana Edinburgh. That one is used from time to time and is maintained.

i don't think anyone would want to buy or take over the project anymore. It is costly! Better to tear it downa nd start anew than build over it.

Imagine all the infestations and the headache you'll have?

  • antik jdinya umh ane~

  • this is what happened when human trying their level best to have paradise on earth!! no matter how rich u r its a reality tht ur not in paradise after all!!! everything on earth shall ruined with time cos nothing is permanent except God!!!
