im not trying to be a hater but ive had this on both consoles and it feels a little bit choppy on the playstation if you have both consoles i would probably get it for xbox but its still a pretty solid ps3 port
At second 00:46 the Xbox360 is at 43 frames while the PS3 is at 25... Tbh whenever there is action on the screen the PS3 version is 2-5 fps below the Xbox360 and sometimes even more! Even more than that the Xbox360 version even highlights NPCs and still keeps a higher frame rate as seen in 01:53. Also check out how out of focus the scenery is on the PS3 version at 03:41 compared to the crisp and clear visuals on the Xbox360.
They basically look the same...Crysis 2 raised the bar this gen on any system and became the game to beat graphically. Having seen what UC3 looks like and a broken BF3...it looks like they will hold the crown tho Gears had it's moments. MW3 will be the biggest game of the year and if the campaign plays as good as it looks...it deserves it.
@InsideOUT37 Crysis 2 is NOT next gen graphics. Its a blurry mess. Crysis 1 beats it in visauls, also the detail on the people is terrible. UC3 and BF3 have great visuals, crysis 2 makes my eyes hurt over time.

The ultra settings call for a quad & 2 gtx 580's..0_o..Crysis2 has issues but they are small compared to what they pulled off on consoles.

What i just don't understand, is why they built PS3 wich a advanced CPU like the Cell, and paired it with a GPU that is slower than X360 GPU, that's a huge bottleneck, they should've made the PS3 more balanced.

The PS3 with it's GPU and the Cell is more powerful then the 360 so that doesn't matter. But yes, they could've made a better choice with the GPU, but that's because PS3's GPU was made in a rush.

Other than, barely noticable resolution difference, both look exactly the same... PS3 definently has better texters while 360 version, has slightly better frame rate... Overall, PS3 version is the definitive version; I've heard too many stories how the 360 version, not only plays like shit but, has this ugly, grainny effect, going across the screen... PS3 version doesn't have that...

@bunkindatrunk It's not really money, it's because developing a game to the PS3, would be very hard to port it for PC and 360 due to PS3 complex hardware. But truth being said, the 360 GPU is faster than the PS3 GPU, so a port coming from the 360 to the PS3 won't get any benefit from PS3 other hardware advantages and may look worse due to the weaker GPU. But the opposite also happens, some PS3 ports to 360 looks like crap. They do what they can to optimize the port.

From my understanding consoles have a quality that's even lower than the lowest quality for the PC. For those who have a PC and most importantly for those who don't, the settings are "Gamer," "Advanced" and "Hardcore," graphics on an xbox360 are still ages below "gamer" which is the lowest possible on the PC.

XD when call of duty 2 came out, the Xbox version was only on par with the PC version at medium high and people were still blown away . Now years later and a brand new PC game still looks about medium high, on both ps3 and xbox360. That my friends is beyond gpu optimization. Seriously if you look on paper the Xbox and ps3 gpu's should really produce unplayable results. And they would if they were in a PC with those specs.

wow, my PC gets consistently 50fps, with 0% screen tearing (vsync on), and considering i get all my games for about half price (steam) than i would on Xbox or PS3, its pretty much paid for itself.
Both versions look very clean, PS3 has a consistant 2-4 framerate drop below the xbox (not much) whereas the xbox has a very miniscule amount of screen tearing (isn't even visible).

@bunkindatrunk It's not really money, it's because developing a game to the PS3, would be very hard to port it for PC and 360 due to PS3 complex hardware. But truth being said, the 360 GPU is faster than the PS3 GPU, so a port coming from the 360 to the PS3 won't get any benefit from PS3 other hardware advantages and may look worse due to the weaker GPU. But the opposite also happens, some PS3 ports to 360 looks like crap. They do what they can to optimize the port.

Both look about the same , except the 360 version has better lighting and the PS3 has softer textures and a lower framerate . While Xbox 360 owners wil love how Crysis 2 is the best graphical showcase they have ever seen , I suggest PS3 owners should stick to Killzone and Uncharted for the best graphics on PS3 . However , Crytech could have definently done more with the Ps3 version of the game , considering EA has confirmed that the PS3 version is the newest .(Less complete.)

XD when call of duty 2 came out, the Xbox version was only on par with the PC version at medium high and people were still blown away . Now years later and a brand new PC game still looks about medium high, on both ps3 and xbox360. That my friends is beyond gpu optimization. Both versions look very clean, PS3 has a consistant 2-4 framerate drop below the xbox (not much) whereas the xbox has a very miniscule amount of screen tearing (isn't even visible).

Secondly, PS3 is only harder to program because of the Cell, since developers had never developed for anything like the Cell before, 360 had obsolete multicore tech at release date which the PC's were going to rape in a couple of months, Sony though ahead...
So the first party devs that take advatnage of the Cell get jaw dropping graphics ( Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 ). Since 360 was maxed out Gears 2 in 2008.

And also the SPE's aren't made to do calculations used in graphics, which makes it unefficient.
The Xbox version has 12 % higher resolution, and no extreme motion blur, and top that with 5 fps more, and you have a winner.
Screen tearing at 3% is impossible to see with the human eye, so that doesn't really matter that much

And actually: While the 980x (i7) can do 57 Gflops, and the Cell can do more than 200, but the 5870 (old card), can to 2.7 Terraflops, totally smoking the cell processor.
That graphics card has more than 100 times more crunching power than the whole playstation.
Using the Cell for graphics is uselsss and it sucks.

FLOPS is one factor in the final performance... and the fastest single GPU card as of today does 1581GFLOPS while the PS3 can do 597.6GFLOPS. The difference is actually a lot smaller then you may thing, look at those numbers again, the FASTEST GPU TODAY... PS3 came in 2006

SPOILERS!!!! remember the part at the end of crysis 2 when the park comes out of the ground. Now remember the first couple levels of kz3 when you can see the mushroom clound from the nuke. The mushroom cloud looks better than anything in crysis 2. But the water in crysis 2 rapes the water in kz3

why at 4:33 , when the xBox announce that he unlocked a new achivement the FPS is increasing up to 45 ?
I think that crytek have putten a Maximum FPS limit on the xBox to keep it stable.
