Heres 1 thing you need to know in assassins creed 2:While battleing a brute (body well protected with gold or silver armer) NEVER! pull out a sword because he usually knocks it and the ground and you cant pick it up witch will mean you will have to buy another one

Ok, All of the Assassin's in AC1 are missing their ring finger. They have it removed to create a commitment to the Assassin's Creed. Therefore they removed it to have their Hidden Blade as their bride. and they have a ring underneath the gauntlet glove that when then move it out it take away the locking mechanism and releases the Blade. That is why. Thumbs up if you think I'm right =-P

good theory but thats not why they have it removed because when the first hidden blades were created the hidden blade would automaticcal remove your finger when the blade comes out in ac2 if u read all the codex pages it tells u that altair put a metal blade in between the the ring finger and the blade so when the blade comes out it bumps into the metal and keep it from hitting the ring finger

its only the LEFT RING FINGER. his right hand is perfect normal (he fight with the right hand: the dagger, and the sword. he throw knifes with the right hand too) and they learn this since they were kids. at the age of 5 maybe the finger was cut-off. and since there they lern how to be assassin with a only 9 fingers

There is actualy no unlockables in the game. As you progress through the game you earn you weapons that were taken from you. Your weapons alos become more powerful as you gain more weapons. There are no boots or gloves that you unlock, you climb the same and hold the same weapons the same throughout the game. Oh, and there is no crossbow(gay), but other than that you got it all right.

the game is fun to play but when u go to run from the guards if u do, they can do anything u do like climb walls and jump beam to beam... like almost no chance of losing them on foot!

when u go to assasinate main targets u got to battle them sometime cause u have a hard time getting to them lol!!

there is no free roam option, i would advise just going to memory block 6. Its alot of fun to just go into a courtyard in a city and kill everyone and stand there praying while the guards are like WTF?!?!?

what you do is you complete all investigations for every place e.g jerusalem and then you unlock it and to get more ammo u kill the archers :)

you get the crossbow when you have done all the investigations on all of the maps/places,once you have done that you will have it,once you get it you refill the arrows by killing the archers on the rooftops,i hope this helped :)

The crossbow probably got taken out for being too unwieldly. The throwing knives/dagger combo seems to have worked out more in line with the assassin image. Also judging by the trailer, you could lose your crossbow...

The game gets repetitive and towards the end, too easy...however, there is a remedy for that. Fight using only the hidden blade. you don't get the option to block and countertiming becomes much less forgiving. It means that a lot of the time, you'll be forced to run away from the enemy. Note that against assassination targets, you'll still need the sword to knock them on thier asses to dispatch them with the blade.
