The thing about this is it leaves it to you to figure it out-fill in the blanks. For instance I was thinking two things, one bad and one good. As the thief he should have pissed in the beer to add insult to injury. Second, I was thinking the guy on the ground was a millionaire using himself as bait to see what people would do and anyone that helped him ( and didn't steal) would be rewarded.

rrr i love these artistic videos you make! so simple yet so powerful! i think what gives the ending that sad feeling is the music and i got the impression that he ended up there possibly from passing out from drinking the previous night and that the vicious cycle was starting all over again even though he's 3$ poorer and only has less than a full beer, but it still somehow feels like the ending told the story of how he got there in the first place.

you're joking, right? it's not complicated at all. guy #1 sees guy #2 passed out on the ground. instead of helping him, he takes his wallet and leaves. Guy #2 wakes up and drinks the left over beer that guy #1 left behind. That's it!
