assde from the chapter on the bazarre Pastor Clark, this was a boring little researched book, like the one before it by Carlton Smith. I found out more about the on the net before this book came out. Wonder if we'll ever see that book by that Caserona girl
@paperroute50 Completely agree! I was following the case during the 2004 hunt, and I knew more about it when it was happening than the author did himself. Poorly written is another way to describe the book. I was advise the Beattie book Nightmare In Witchita
Sounds like another book which blames parents and takes responsibility of crimes off the victimizer. Amazing how much power of choice he had in choosing to join the service and getting married, going to college, attending church, getting a job, etc., etc. But because his father didn't win a noble peace prize for being the best father and his mother disciplined him, he was a poor helpless victim who was from then on destined to kill people. He's no victim. His victims are.
@Jessecraft1954 Hello...i agree with you...i don't think the so called 'experts' know any more about this stuff than practical thinking people...thousands of people grow up in terribly dysfunctional homes but become clear thinking, loving human beings...i think serial killers are born with a seriously defective brain...and regardless of their personal family history, at some point in their lives, will begin to kill.It is a very tragic part of the human condition.Heartbreaking.
That's actually a pretty good book. Rader is one pathetic and stupid guy, its scary that he got away with it for so long, control freak fuck up that he was!
I lived in Newton, Kansas (I'm only 13 by the way) from when I was born to about age 8, and my parents always talked about BTK, and I never knew who he was, then one day we drive by Dennis Rader's house and we see police and police tape. We go home and see "BTK Caught". Pretty radical.

Rader must die. That is the best way to make the world a better place.

nooo..he needs to suffer and rot in prison.
much better than giving him the easy way out of death.
i hope other prisoners beat the shit out of him daily.
