Ok, I don't know if the above will help me or not because I actually DO see the gathermate notes in Arch Helper. The issue I'm having is that I have WAY fewer nodes on my screen than I see in your vid. I've done about 4 spots (3 spots each) and only 2 of them have I been able to go directly to and get like you do in the vid, all of the other ones I "discover a new node". I downloaded Gathermate2 and the data file via the Curse Profile, then went and selected to Import. But I see no difference.

It actually Works. Just made it work following the above rule: "ie. /WTF/Account/accntname/realm/c­­haracter/SavedVariables"

Make sure you copy the file gathermate2.lua from the gatermate2 folder in addons folder to the realm as written. Its kinda easily misunderstood.

Dont bother with this addon peeps, I have done everything to get data but can't get it to work, which makes this addon useless. That's y it's not a popular addon, because it sucks! It doesn't work, and you will waste hours trying to get it setup and it won't work anyhow.

First of all, it's just a hud, for node locations you need another library file. Now, if you've read the review, you will know that.

What's great about this addon is that you have all the possible spawn points, it cuts down the number of clicks to get fragment.

After I familarized with this addon, it used to take me 10 clicks to get through a site, now it takes around 4-5 on average, and sometimes 3 clicks.

Just wish the author would update this great addon.

dont need an addon for arch tbh =|, after a few hours of being braindead you just kinda know exactly how far each light is. As a mage for example red light is like a blink and 4 jumps forward. Arch is easy, just got to be doing something else while at it to not get bored too quickly and quit.

I've actually never even heard of any of my wow friends who are in the better guilds who do that. I don't raid any more but in the last expansion an average Naxxaramas run only took a couple of hours, 3 tops.

I had in mind early ulduar-raids, but in naxx it was just the same when you went with not a random group. anyway, even if you are a "successful" pver in a "good" guild, you dont have to pretend to be a casual gamer, because casual wowers do not exist, at least not on final level. I know how much time you people spend on daily quests, farming, auctions etc. but keep telling yourself "I just log in for 1,5 hours on saturday to raid a certain dungeon" -maybe you can fool yourself

Every single raiding guild I have ever been in, and I've played wow since vanilla, did raids 3 times a week of which you were expected to attend at least two somewhere between 18:00-23:00. Usualy the raid time was no more than 3hrs or less if it went bad.

And so what if I sit at home a Saturday and play WoW? I enjoy it, it's not like it's any worse than going out having some beers and acting like a drunk idiot in town.

When I installed everything, incude the "extra info" pack, it did not work. No dots on the screen.

Then I removed everything again and reinstalled the 3 addons without the extra info pack. now it works perfectly.

the thing about this addon is like gatherer, where it put herbs and nodes on the map for a quicker grind. This is no different, as archeology takes a lot of time just searching, and can speed up the process by simply knowing where the dots are. That way, we arent spending all day to get a small percentage done.

I can't get the overlay HUD to work. Apparently it uses Sexymap, but when I activate that one, the nodes don't show, nor does the red indicator show up after I push a button, and my minimap disappears (vid still has it). The nodes do show on the minimap. Any ideas?

@IanHoopz It's not the difficulty that calls for an addon, it's how monotonous and tedious it is. When you spend a whole day doing arch, saving from 5 to 30 seconds on a find really shows. Same goes for gathering professions, knowing where nodes are using GatherMate doesn't make it easier, it makes it FASTER.

Except for the archaeology thingy what ui is he using?
