  • MAN THIS A BAD RIDE bet it's a real neck jerker but i have to say the best part about it for me was the c.o. tags im from colorado but live in illinois and cant wait to get back to the mile high and again bad ride bro!!!!!!!!!!!

  • all this talk about perfect balance...the guys gt slicks and skinnies hes not worried about anything that has a turn in it obviously

  • Vgayasfuck

  • love this car.

  • She's not exactly street legal so keep in on the DL....

  • I bet this thing screws. Gotta love the rotary vs cylinder hate. I've had my car with both in it, and i've been happy with both. People need to relax.

  • fc is 48 and 52 so shut the fuck up about perfect weight balance. plus all the weight is in between the wheels and they understeer...not really bad but alittle. with a little more weight over the front end wound bring it closer to perfect balance and a stock t2 weighs 3200. 2700 is a na car. so your both wrong

  • @thebestone115 The LS1 added the "Little more weight" required for the perfect weight balance dumbass

  • @thebestone115 Um, this isn't stock.....lol

  • doesnt sound like a toy anymore. sounds like a fucking monster !!!

  • Most ballzy use of a fart cannon EVER! Someone either ran out of funds for the build or likes a little automotive satire... ;-)

  • @PorkchopLSX Satire for sure. My ls1 fd I built I kept the norotors.com sticker and put a "RX5.7" badge on it.

  • i love both rotaries and LS1s... depends on the right weight car for the correct application ;) like my suzuki van for example

  • Oh good it's just an FC.

    I don't care about those.

  • this is just stupid, but the good kind...

  • what engine management? stock LS ecm?

  • @turbochrisss yes stock ls ecm

  • i think it is a good swap but if this was a supra i would think diffrent.

  • damn with the weight of that car and an LS1 im sure that things a rocket. I had an 88 rx7 as my first car with the 1.3 liter roter. Thing was gutless, would of killed to have a fuckin V8 in her.

  • can you just go out and buy an LS1

  • @ouzts12 Sure. There's thousands of junkyards and places you can get crate engines too.

  • car is completely ruined by that exhaust

  • @khdude2000 Sounds good though!

  • @mdoe8 Oh ya no doubt, just a tad unfortunate =P

  • @ Tj1056 actually, that IS with the engine/transmission. You can get an ls1/6-speed for $500. It's not like Japanese engines where they charge you an arm and a leg for a 150hp just because it's a junkyard takeoff from another country. I'd also venture to bet, fairly safely, that a 350hp v8 swap would be quicker than a 450hp rotary. Because it makes torque.

  • @Milehighsnake98 meanwhile the rotary goes up to 9.5k rpm while your ls1 barely reaches 6.5k.. the torque difference isn't that high as it is between diesel and petrol. think before posting.. a 320 hp rotary engine would produce around 300 nm of torque, while the ls1 produces like 320. your argument went to hell.

  • @xIcarus227 RPM means nothing, so who is it that needs to think before posting? As for the torque... Here's the specs. RX-7 255hp@6500rpm, 217ft-lb@5000rpm. 1997 Corvette LS1: 340hp@5600rpm, 350ft-lb@4400rpm. Seriously, do some research. Just for further insult... 1998 Mustang Cobra: 305hp@5800, 300ft-lb@4800. So yes, the rotary is torqueless. And since you're using nm... LS1=474nm torque Cobra=407nm. RX-7=294nm.
  • @Milehighsnake98 smokemup.com/tech/ls1.php

    go fuck yourself buddy

  • @xIcarus227 Thanks for conceding to me. I know I'm right.

  • @Milehighsnake98 you could try to read those stats again, and then read what i said. a rotary with equal horsepower would produce slightly lower torque <- what i said. you compared the stock 13b (naturally aspirated) to the ls1. there's one thing i agree on tho: naturally aspirated rotaries have anemic torque. everything is fixed with turbos.

  • @xIcarus227 Ok, so a naturally aspirated 255hp rotary? Not quite. Sorry, the FD only came turbocharged in the US, and they were 255hp and 217ft-lb. That's with TWO turbochargers. Stock it could not rev to 9.5k, nor could it make any real torque. It's only saving grace was that it was put into a 2500lb car. So a turbo rotary is still anemic torque. Turbo 4 cylinders in the 1980s made more torque.

  • @Tj1056 an ls1 swap can be done for less than $1500 and that will net 350+ hp. And more importantly, 350+ ft-lb torque. A $300 cam swap and you're at nearly 400hp for less than $2000. Not gonna do that with a rotary.

  • @Milehighsnake98 show me a complete swap... you also forget price of the engine and tranny...

  • @tj1056 But when it costs 3x as much to make less power than the ls swap, that's what it all boils down to. Performance per cubic dollar. And a v8 rx7 is almost impossible to beat.

  • @Milehighsnake98 it only cost a lot of money to make a rotary have a lot of power if you have someone else do it for you... there is a lot less to mod on a rotary then there is on a piston engine... (seals, porting, fuel, intake, exhaust, turbo, ecu, and tuning to make the power) then the rest drivetrain and suspension every other car has to do... I can make a 500hp 13b rotary for the same price of a ls1 swap... or less just swapping to a 20b and open up the intake/exhaust and tune for 400hp...

  • @Tj1056 My other ls1 rx7 was very inexpensive to build. About $5k total and I had a 410 rwhp/ 410 rwtq 2800 lb car that was extremely easy to drive, was dead nuts reliable, and got 34 mpg on the highway....it's really tought to beat that combination! That being said, I started out with a PFS streetported single turbo rotary....wasn't my style and blew up after 7k miles. A very unique motor that has a lot of appeal, it's just not the best out there. I do like them though, especially 20b's!

  • @mdoe8 you buy a sports car but still are worried about fuel milage... my current setup right now hits full boost at 2500rpm to 8500rpm... full boost pressure and it will push 400hp on stock turbo... my single turbo upgrade soon to happen will only cost like 5k at the most to make 550hp with a simple streetport...

  • @Tj1056 Lol hardly, but it's a nice bonus because it's such an efficient motor. Please don't try to justify the rotary. I've already stated I think it's a neat design and like it, but there truly is no argument for it other than it's unique. There is a reason 99.9% of cars are piston powered. You will never con me into thinking otherwise.

  • @mdoe8 99% of cars are powered by pistons because mazda is the only company to work with them... not that hard to realize... justify the rotary motor? all I was saying is I can make more power for the same price of a ls1 swap...

  • @Tj1056 Lol ok man

  • @Tj1056 nissan have built a rotary engine, look it up ;)

  • was going to say how do you fit a v8 and turbo in a rx7 then I seen the size of the turbo -_-

  • @Tj1056 It's a 70mm turbo with a .96 hotside...it's not THAT small!

  • @skeckevo WAT, and now you insult me (in horrible english), tell me, again, which are the must have mods for an fd, IF you know rotaries you'll be able to tell me, if you can't tell me, start reading and learning the pros/cons of rotaries, and then we will talk

  • @skeckevo Hey why don't you want t discuss why Mazda didn't put the rotary into the Miata? Everytime I ask you a question and you don't have an answer you just delete your comment...

  • @PREDEX2000 because its a dum fucking question,because its not a rx7,,cosmo, rx8,929,.what a dum question,

  • @skeckevo Eh, 929's never got a rotary engine, and it's not a dumb question, just think, rotaries are great engines according to you, yet they don't put it in a car they struggle to make lighter? Why?

  • @PREDEX2000 ask mazda that dum fucking question, dont hate the rotary engine bro.hate who dont know about it.

  • @skeckevo If you know rotary engines that wll, then tell me which are the must have mods in the fd3s? You know what I'm talking about

  • @PREDEX2000 please learn to read and write, and i dont understand your question?

  • Comment removed

  • @skeckevo

    you jelly?

  • @VOAOURKZ He mad bro, he very mad and can't into logic

  • @skeckevo

dont have to, just research you lazy fuck

    you jelly bro?

  • did you sell this to chandler wicks by any chance?

  • i hate non tripple circle lights D: , lol , otherwise nice car

  • @YouRk0ed11 Agreed. I had a set of them in the garage but never got around to installing em.

  • You guys crack me up. Please research before making any ignorant comments like you have. Car weighed 2700 lbs still and, before the turbo kit, had perfect 50/50 weight distribution. The ls1 is an aluminum block/head engine and doesn't weigh much at all. As for the "gay engine" comment: The rotary is definitely a unique and fun engine, but please don't come bashing an engine that you know is far superior simply because it doesn't have rotors.

  • @mdoe8 im sorry...yes ur right some come here and bash on motors with no rotors...but ur wrong by saying that the v8 is superior than the rotary...its just not the right way of saying it.....id say they might be equal if not the rotary being better.

  • @sidodorifto Actually, he's not wrong. The LS1 V8 IS superior in every way. It is capable of more power. It is capable of far more torque. It's capable of more displacement. It will last WAY longer. It is more fuel efficient. It's just plain better. And I'm seriously not a fan of the LS engine or any GM engine, and I like the idea of the Rotary, but it is a god awful engine in production.

  • @Milehighsnake98 its not all about power tho... it don't matter if it has all that power if the rotary is still picking up the same times with 2/3 of the power

  • @Tj1056 Facts please? the rotary had one advantage and that was its blatant weight advantage..

  • @Texarmageddon weight advantage? maybe in the 90s when it raped the lt1... but the ls1 weights near the same as a 13b-rew... but now they have aftermarket aluminum side housing which drop weight even more... its just how the powerbands work on each of the vehicles... the rotary is a high rev high end power car... and it stays in the powerband all the way down the strip... where as most v8 hit there powerband down low and start to actually loose some power up top

  • @mdoe8 That "Gay" engine sounds insane and would likely make most cars on the street look like idiots...I like rotos...but very few engines beat an LS1...Great car!

  • @mdoe8 I love the car. Gotta appreciate the work put into the car to make that happen.

  • @mdoe8 car weighs the same, but the rotary engine can be placed lower and more to the back. which means that whomever told you the rx7 had 50/50 weight distribution with an ls.. just lied.

  • @xIcarus227 lol. I'll go talk to the scales and let them know. After simply moving the battery to the back, the weight distribution is EXTREMELY close to 50/50

  • @mdoe8 The LS1 is far superior? That's obvious. The rotary is interesting, but not a good design. Unreliable, oil burning, fragile...quite underwhelming.

  • @mdoe8 Thank you...!!! I'm down for rotor power all the way, but let's cut the crap.... For a few grand you can stuff a 400hp or more horses LS2 into an RX7 and still keep it behaving more or less like stock or even better as far as handling... I understand the rotary purists, but I understand hawlin' ass down the interstate even better....

  • @mdoe8 well said.don't mind the import nuthuggers

  • id just like to point out that the ls1 weighs more than the car itself......

  • Gay!

  • nice car with a gay engine.rx7 is rotors, end of that, you should burn that car to fuck down.

  • @skeckevo

that gay engine outperforms any rotary

  • @skeckevo rotors will do that for you. cum guzzling, shit eating, fuck face.

  • @RTdeluxe uhhh, I remember my first beer, more reliable power from the LS, apex seals explode and rotors burn up, you're the load your mother should have swallowed or let run down her leg.

  • you need to fix the exhaust

  • nasty!!!!

  • thats fucking sick

  • a turbo-back exhaust on a v8 >.< ??????

  • @Yamajee200 yeah thats what im sayin i dont know whats up wit that lol

  • @Yamajee200 i dont get it

  • @bnz500 you don't get what?

A turbo-back exhaust is used mainly for japanese v6 turbo engines, why would you need 1 exhaust for an LS1? split twin direct exhausts if you're really looking for exhaust back pressure and v8 madness sound.

  • @Yamajee200 "Turbo back exhaust" Means a system that runs from the turbo, back to the exhaust tip. Just like you can get a "cat back exhaust" Which wouldnt include headers, only whats after the cats. Im not even sure what a "split twin direct exhaust" is and I fit exhausts for a living.

  • @bnz500 Then what do you call this exhaust system that's on the rx7 =)? I know what a cat back exhaust is :D, I dunno what it's called but it's the headers then 2 straight direct pipes on each side till the end of the car with no cats or anything, that's what at least most of the people from what I know call "direct pipe exhaust".

  • @bnz500 Plus, a turbo back exhaust is straight from the exhaust flange on the turbocharger until the exhaust tip, this exhaust tip is called a turbo-back, search it on google :D.

  • Finlay, a Mazda with some zoom zoom........

  • @xxxTheUnnoticedxxx He made it more beautiful....Did you happen to see what's under the hood? He did what I would have done if I owned this car...He took a perfectly good rotary motor and threw it in the trash, and replaced it with an award winning, world renowed LS1.

  • @formula112967 could have just bought a camaro SS or vette but hey what ever floats your knish

  • @guevodeplomo But those cars don't need to be improved. This guy saw an opportunity to take a shitbox and turn it into a groundpounder, or as cool hand Luke would say...a "worldshaker". JMHO

  • @formula112967 you want a "REAL WORLD SHAKER" get a 1969 dodge charger HEMI

  • nice, tough looking, bet it hauls the mail if u get a good hookup on takeoff, the rear tire hit the inside of ur fender on launch? looks like it would, sweet ride tho none the less mad props

  • what transmission are you running?

  • Px7

  • I would like to know how much just the conversion equipment took, and also, why is your thermo gauge stuck at full? lol

  • @logicalbomb Take a look at grannys speed shop and hinsons websites. That should give you a good idea on cost. Also, the wiring on the gauge sensor was touching the block so it maxxed it out.

  • can you tell me all the info on the rims you have i love that setup it looks amazing and the hood as well is it custom?

  • @mynsbigr Ford mustang fitment summit prostars i believe was the name. Basically summits version of weld prostars.

  • bad ass car man!!!

  • By the way, that exhaust sounds mean!!! Car looks great! Thumbs up for this vid.

  • should is put that into a pilot and see what happen O_O

  • what rim and off set is that i love it nice car

  • what rims and offset if you dont mind i loved them ? nice car!

  • Very nice!

No junk rotary in this Rx7

  • what part of colorado are you from? denver?

  • @mysrt4303 Up north of denver

  • Car + Sound = does not compute. HAHA!

  • what size is your apexi

  • i have the same shifter, it works really well once you figure it out... it's a lockout ;)

  • it's a lemon...hahaha...just kidding. I will get the word out! nice work.

  • hey dude, so the factory tach works no problems eh? mind if we talk about your gauges and wiring? :)

  • silly people dont you know he's got a manual valve body automatic. huh guess not.

  • looks like he doesn't even know how to drive. Nice engine tho

  • Yeah I felt kind of stupid because i couldn't find 4th gear to put it back up to park.

  • how many Horsepower is the baby have?

  • Still haven't gotten it tuned yet. Worked out a few initial start bugs and recently swapped to a full manual valve body. Once everything is 100%, i'll go get it tuned. On the stock internals sadly so i'll stop it in the mid-upper 550's for now. Which shuold be good for over 600 torque

  • very impressive.
