i am new to gears of war but why does it matter who is host?

the host is the one who provides the games connection. therefore, if the host has a bad connection, everyone suffers except for the host. meaning the host has a very large advantage

Now with most GoW 2 weapons, would it be smarter to switch your Shotgun or Lancer for the weapon you pick up? I realize maybe the shotgun for up-close, but I hear the Lancer can be quite useful.

i would switch my lancer...9 times out of 10 the enemy would come near you. and a shotgun can down them n about 3 well aimed hits from far out anyway so yeah

@Predatorzero410 the double 0 firstly and there was 0 sign of lowered movement in the least bit.. ive caught host tons of times and you play exactly like you were. its quite simple :P

@Predatorzero410 right at the beginning of the match when you picked your character you can tell your host. If your host, the 0:00 flashes twice. It flashed twice, so you were host

no problem, i made it a nice 10 min video, 5 mins of wingman, and 5 of king of the hill, ill be uploading it soon, watch for it, just make sure you wait for the HIgh quality to kick in, if not it looks horrible lol
