I loved it when the curtain came up to show the handbell players, and then after I was thinking WOW that's AMAZING!!!...... The curtain rose again to show the band. Just amazing.

A movie is not an accurate comparison, as a movie is the same every time you watch. A song is different each time is performed. A play would be a better comparison.  Anyways, I think megjknight is saying that you can criticize the arrangement, but you can't criticize the performance.

I really like the part just after the piano cuts out for the first time, just after the little pitched drum section. The really fast ascending jazzy scale thing... Wow!

If I was to learn it though, I'd stick with the piano on its own though lol.

Agreed, I'm a drummer and tend to like prominent drums, but the cymbals were overplayed on this piece. The soundtech should have at least brought his cymbal mic levels down.

I love how he does his own solo towards 5 minutes, but I honestly think the full drum set was a bit annoying. They could have use the symbols, and timpani drums but the kick and the constant symbols were a disappointment to me, and doesn't go well with the rest of the arrangement. IMO

The drum set was just too heavy. It was way overplayed. Otherwise it fits, but just too much of it. I agree on the cymbals as well. Too much. Otherwise, an awesome arrangement - well thought out. I'd love to hear it recorded in a studio and balanced out!

I don't like how low he's playing it, but when he comes in with the high stuff it makes up for the kinda muddled bass end. I'm not a fan of the weird timing he uses on some of it, but this certainly is an interesting performance.
