Pete was an incredible runner. Amherst has had many. Sonny, Tony, Scott, Jim, Schoemig and others. Pete was not only a great runner, I think he aced the SAT!

Oh, forgot to mention the common thread, Coach Richard Cooley; An incredible guy. I will never forget his lead foot in his Chrysler, purple station wagon. You're a legend coach.

Pete kummant & Jeff Wilhelm are Ohio distance Gods/Legends the likes of which are rarely seen in this day and age. Isn't that a cinder track too?

Nope, it was that low tech asphalt/rubber mix that inflicted many a shin split on its users.
