Wonderful post. very beautiful song. One of the last few Shankar jaikishan music scores to become hit, i think. The voice of mohammed rafi sounds so full and mature on shammi kapoor in all the songs , truly he never sang for himself only for the actors performing on screen.

Folks. You really can not compair Apples and Oragnes. Kishore Da was genious - he was a complete artist. Never been trained or anything. Rafi saab's voice was gift from God and he made it gift to God! They are both legends and both are kings of 50,60,70,80 eara. I love both of them equally and hugh fan of them.

In this clip, only Rafi's version is sad. Kishore's version is when Hema goes back to happy memories related to this song - means happy song from Kishore. Pls note that Rafi was voted as the Voice of the millenium in 2001 by a big majority (about 70%) of Indians.
