  • I'm Captain James T Kirk of the Starship Enterprise...I'm on my own ship. do you not know who I am?

  • This is the worst promo I've ever seen.

  • Total SWEETNESS!!!

  • In color!

  • lol I think it's a riot they had incandescent light bulbs in the 23rd century :)

  • Wrong answer rubick. This was a time travel episode that sent some of them back to the 20th century

  • @NY3UVL714 You are incorrect. The episode took place in the 23rd century but on a planet with 20th century technology. It was called "Patterns of Force" and the planet's government mimicked the German Nazis. Kirk and Spock had been incarcerated by the Nazis and in this scene they are using a crystal that had been implanted on them to produce a simple laser to break out of jail.

  • Color tv was a very big deal back then. We had one uhf channel that didnt broadcast in color til the 70's.

  • This whole concept will never be successful...

  • @cjk002 I have news for you..it was. Look at how many fans that Star Trek still has.

Not to mention the later versions of the show, as well as the "Star Trek" movies!

  • @PlaneAndTVtechfan

    Sarcasm: Look it up.

  • Wow. Star Trek in Color. This should be Far Out!. lol

  • Gee Golly! I can't wait!

  • I tell you this is rad. Im glad the Herberts did not make this far out show.

  • Keep in mind, this show was produced 40 years ago, long before the special effects that are now available through modern technology. It was truly a remarkable venture.

  • Plus, the studio didn't give the show a big budget like other shows due to not having faith in it.

  • This is great, thanks!

  • I've seen old trailers before, and the quality of this one is excellent. Care to share the source?? Anyway, I love old nostalgic stuff. Thanks!!

  • Nice master of this promo. Must have been touched up for an upcoming release. Nice to see!!

  • that was pretty cool. it's nice to see something new/old!

  • It WAS Bill Wendell, who recorded a great majority of in-house NBC promos [with Wayne Howell and Fred Collins] during the '60s. Note the "In Color" tag...

    nice "reconstruction", 'bbordelon2'!

  • Sounded almost like veteran NBC announcer Bill Wendell at the end, there . . .

  • hahaha good ol times
