To disagree with the description: Most people go to SXM TO watch the planes. And if you dont, you should find out fast enough when you land right over the beach. Nothing unsuspecting about it.....
My wife & I were there in July and I made a plan for day 2 of my vacation. After a 2 double-latte Starbucks breakfast & 4 Red Bull lunch I got on the beach-wall & prepared as the next 747 set glide path & final approach(Air Singapore flt.5682).
The moment the nose passed I jumped up grabbed the wing & landed on the runway with the mighty jet. Unfortunately, I did tear my shorts on the airport fence. Do not try this, but I wouldn't trade that 12.7 sec for all the Mexicans in the United States.
more than broken your arms, planes usally glide in at over 100mph and even if he did grab the wings he would have been sucked into the engine or got his head jammed in the flaps. look mate if you still believe you can do this, you need little men wearing white coats and bowties, which drive around in a van which interia is like a giant pillow.
