I think Blaze sings his own songs brilliantly for Maiden too , would have loved to see him in the band. Thanks to both Blaze, Bruce and all the band for this epic song

I've just listened to the studio version. Blaze is good for sure. But when I listen to that version, my feelings are: yeah, it's quite cool. And when I listen to this version...I have shivers, and I want to say: OMG, this is INCREDIBLE! The Hall of Fame of metal singers should be named after Bruce :)
I think the whole X-Factor album was written in consideration to Blaze's vocal range. He's baritone, but the the problem I notice that there were times in the album he was a little off-key. It became more evident on Virtual XI. If there was a good replacement during Bruce's absence, I would have gone for Ronny Munroe or Morgan Thorn
This the only Iron Maiden song sung by Blaze that I like. But, Bruce makes it sound much better. He's not struggling with his voice, like Blaze does. There's no comparison between them. Bruce is far better. Period. But, hats off, for Blaze's effort and for keeping Iron Maiden's heart pumping until the Air Raid Siren's return.
Im pretty sure that if Bruce sang all of these songs, this album would be right up there with The Number of The Beast, Fear of the Dark etc. But nobody really cared to listen to maiden when bruce left, but still I give Maiden props for going on
In my own opinion, X Factor was better than No Prayer For the Dying and Fear of the Dark. The only reason why it did not become a classic is because it wasn't Bruce singing.

blaze was definitely a good singer, out of 100 singers they chose him. Love the sound of his voice, but his stage presence just wasn't right. When things are right they click, and it didn't click when he came in for Bruce. He made some great albums with them though, and what he brought was fresh. His greatest contribution was possibly the fact that he took the band in the direction of writing for brave new world, dance of death, etc, into where they are now and for that I thank him.

I almost cried when they started to play it on Dance of Death premier in Hungary...one of my favourites:)

Hod I love this song! A lot of people think Bruce doesn't sing, that he just shouts the lyrics. They can shove it right up theirs in my opinion. Bruce is an amazing singer period.

I agree! Very very few singers -if any- can fill Bruce's shoes. Blaze Bayley (to be honest) made the good old irons sound like a coverband, my opinion.
