  • ever been to Springfield?i have, i think its a town law ,that you must be retarded or something. if i was the fuzz, id be beating some of that dumb azz too, lord knows i was tempted, and i was just visiting

  • your in Springfield, what do you expect?

  • yo da popo be out of control-i be high steppin when 5-0 roll up in this mofo too!

  • Thugs the lot of em. The original vid of the beating showed a vicious and brutal attack that is VERY hard to watch.

  • "Greene posted a 20-minute video on the Internet showing Jones being beaten repeatedly by an officer with a flashlight while a group of officers stood by and watched."

    rt.com/usa/news/springfield-beating-police-video/

Police stood by and watched while another cop was beating this guy into a coma?

How would you like to have those cops in your city or county?

Cops Need to Learn They CAN'T Break the Law in Order to Enforce the Law.

  • the police is now suing the person who filmed the event. Your country is so messed up! The land of free! hahah yeah right!!!!

  • @purtsuvaike

Yes, he is suing, however he will lose. Law enforcement is 'trying' and not succeeding, to arrest people for filming their illegal activities. Everyone knows, it is perfectly legal (as stated int he constitution) to film a public servant - publicly. They tried this in Boston, accidentally arresting an attorney -OOPS, stupid move. He has since filed suit, violating his 1st, and 4th amendment rights. The officers tried to claim immunity. The judges said absolutely not! PIGS LOSE!

  • Cop killers. They need to be stopped. The will be stopped.Lets organise armed gangs to police the police.Seems to be the only way to stop these animals.

  • not all cops are bad, but the majority are crooked and power hungry.

  • but melvin jones is such a productive member of society... why would the police beat him? thats said im sure melivin has two jobs and pays taxes... oh wait he steals from stores, beats women and sells drugs. natural selection people.

  • @jtmoneypr35 yo Mel be my homeboy from tha ghetto hood streets of Mason Square-so don't trash him if you don't no him. so what if he on wellfair and food stamp and hustle and deal he and gotted taken to court by he baby mama fo' not paying child support. i herd he be gettin him sum better booty now nohow.

  • @jtmoneypr35 fuck off shit racist!!

  • @jtmoneypr35 hey yeah, let's gather up all the homeless people (because they don't pay taxes, often have drug problems and commit theft) and kill them all!

    great idea chaps.

  • Check out my video on my confrontation of the Springfield Police!

-Dan Bidondi confronts Police Springfield, MA June 4th, 2010

  • this is stupid. if the dude wasn't resisting, none of this shit would have happened. you don't grab an officers gun and expect not to get your ass beat, EVER. we need more officers like asher on the streets.

  • um....how about all his drugs and he ran. he's the bad guy!

  • stop brutality sucks my nuts bitchsss

  • I'm not saying the officers were in the right or wrong for beating up on the guy if that is true (I couldn't tell what was going on in the video), however, I am wondering if the person recording decided to start shooting when the officers in question were 'abusing their power' or decided to ignore or edit out Mr.Jones resisting/running/whatever he did. There is always too sides to every story so I am curious on what happened prior to this.

  • Why is everything have to be racists. God i wish it was a black cop beating the black man because then you wouldn't have shit to say. it's ridiculous i can tell just from the looks of the guy he is a scumbag and he probably was resisting arrest the whole time. Yes i admit there is police brutality but 90% of the videos on youtube are just a simple case of resisting arrest. I mean what are they suppose to do when a guy won't cooperate or listen to you. People bitch about everything nowadays.

  • @JG573

As I live in Springfield Mass. this isn't the first time this officer has committed a Felony and got away it it. He was all over the news here, and it was obvious from his past, it was a racial beating. Trust me the police here, including the state cops, could care less about your civil liberties, after all we are not really considered a state, we are a common wealth... That only inspires the corruption of law enforcement in this state.

  • Asher may be racist, but it really is not about race-it's about abuse of power. I had a white realtive of mine get beat down by white cops while handcuffed there when they arrested him and friends for a misdemeanor trespassing charge (misunderstanding) that was later dropped by the DA's office . they mistakenly blamed he and neighborhood friends for vandalism that was already there too.

  • yo-where springfield, mass. be at tho?

  • @africanbully31 You dont want to know...rough city. Go to wwlp.com everyday to see what goes on in springfield ma.

  • @pelorodz oh yeah i think that be near Holyoke, Worcester, MA and Hartford,Connecticut where my some of my homies and cuzs live and they block get shot up by damn pimps and druggies almost every week it seems like anyway. I live in Watts South Central LA,CA now, but used to know Gary, Indiana as my home.

  • this could have been prevented by a safe chemical spray being developed that quickly and temporarily knocks-out a suspect (a future non-lethal tool of law enforcement). not to be used in all dangerous situations or to totally replace anything used today, but a hopefully better alternative to pepper spray, tasers, boots and flashlights.

  • This is what the officers in this country are trained to do.... when will we stand up and start firing back on these pigs?

their day is coming.... be sure of that....

  • melvin jones is far from being a victim he is a violent criminal just like asher... given his history their may be truth to him grabbing the officers gun

  • melvin jones is not a victim but a repeat offender just like asher..

  • It's obvious that the police are the common enemy of the people we all should demand that the police protect the constitution of the United State if they violate our rights they should go to prison The constitution more important than the rich people that they protect, they do not protect the average citizen The only thing that police give the average citizen is a traffic ticket that backdoor 4 the powerful people wife and I taking out our motor home and beaten jailed police will hurt you.

  • You cant see shit on the tape... he was probably resisting as he has a HISTORY of doing so. Now who do i trust.. a criminal or a bunch of police officers.. honestly neither.. I dont care if a stupid criminal got his head bashed in.. he probably sold drugs or bashed someone elses head in and deserved it.

As for it being racist.. if you look at it that way then you yourself are racist as all you see is the colour of skin and not a criminal and cops..

  • Jones has about 150 other convictions on him and has a track record for being non compliant. Why did you resist? Why did he run? Why did he not do as instructed to by the arresting officers? This is not about racism its about non compliant suspects. Any suspect would have receieved the same treatment. Melvin is a victim of his own poor choices and poor actions.

  • no i understand that Asher has previous a/b to and thats actually retarded he did that again. dont get me wrong on that.. im just saying running from the cops is prolly not the smartest thing.. and grabbing a police officers weapon.

  • why the hell would he run in the 1st place? thats his own fault.. thats telling the police your guilty automatically

  • and beating someone's face in with a metal flashlight til he passes out doesn't make you guilty automatically?

  • No.. he was probably resisting.. maybe he should have just cooperated instead of being a fuckin retard.. serves him right.. he probably beat someone else pretty bad before.. its karma.. stop defending these low life who turn our streets into bad places.

  • @sammlyon when you grab an officers gun, absolutely not. i would have done the same fuckin thing, btw i'm not a cop.

  • @devin1719 Why wouldn't he run from murderers? I think it's called the survival reaction or something like that.

  • @devin1719

Not really, Springfield Police are well known for simply beating your azz for absolutely nothing, so why couldn't it be simply running out of fear.

  • @fmnma1 and springfield is also known for having a bad crime rate.. look up melvin jones history of criminal record.. he had drugs that night tried to take the officers weapon... sure asher has a bad rep cud care less bout the guy either.. id rather stick up for a cop giving it to person than to one who is poisoning our streets

  • @devin1719

Springfield has a bad crime rate. This is true, but if you look at statistics per city (large) every city has a bad crime rate. Based on Springfields population, is what gives you the high crime rate. You can stick up for a cop if you want. Take a trip to Mass if you don't live there, and see how the Police act here. They do not act like professionals. If your a certain age, 14-30, your automatically presumed by the police as a criminal, and treated as such when your stopped.

  • @fmnma1 i know how they act im from western mass.. im not a trouble maker or anything thats the difference... once you offend you make yourself a target for the next time ...not to mention i like keeping up with this case... did you see the news of melvins jones adding to his nice long criminal list?

  • @fmnma1 come on.. ''running out of fear''? he didnt clearly have a good history to begin with.. running away from the police... well what do you think was going to happen.. there gunna let him go? get with the picture

  • @devin1719

LOL. Devin, I didn't write this, my nephew did. I would like to think I'm much more educated that a 13yo punk :P ;) i.e., my nephew. I am against police brutality in all phases. What my nephew fails to realize is the concept of 'innocent until proven guilty'. He has a lot to learn. Although he is correct in saying the crime-rate in Springfield is high, that isn't an excuse for law enforcement to pick and choose, whom they beat up. My nephew no longer has access to this account, btw.

  • @devin1719 They were plain clothed officers. Not in uniform, and did not identify themselves as police. I would have run too if guys NOT dressed in police uniforms came up to me.

  • @devin1719

    Devin1719 = retard!

Only retards don't realize that police officers are not judges. Only retards assume an officer starts shift, does his shift, then gets ready to take the bench at court house. So, police officers have 2 jobs now? Only retards actually believe police officers are not only cops, but judge and jury. Real people know that 'telling police your guilty' is irrelevant. That is up to a Judge and or Jury to decide - Retard!

  • @devin1719

Just because your a retard I feel I must explain something to you. Your 'Telling the police your guilty" was in reference to an action, not a confession. Meaning, you were implying the 'action' of the suspect was indicating to an officer he/she - is/was guilty by their actions, not the words. If the Miranda rights were stated, then yes 'telling' (in the sense of 'speaking') you might... MIGHT... just have a point. Other than that, retardation comes to mind.

  • @devin1719 so b/c he ran that cop has the right to beat him unconscious? while multiple cops hold him down? It's 1 thing when cops apprehend someone resisting by taking them to the ground, kneel with force on the persons neck, and then other cops run in for "back up" and do the same on the apprehended's back/legs(which still seems excessive to me). BUT to continually beat a man in the head w/ a weapon 'til he's knocked out is completely beyond excessive force and straight up police brutality.

  • @DPK99ATown and @devin1719 - even if a person is guilty or even if they're known criminals that doesn't give ANY cop the right to beat them unconscious..it's police brutality and a major abuse of power. The accused officer should not only be charged with criminal assault and I believe A&B with a dangerous weapon but attempted murder as well. I guarantee you if Melvin Jones beat another citizen like he got beat that night he'd be charged with a lot more than that officer.
