  • I work every day with Stihl's as a Licensed Arborist. I have many Stihl saws from 12" bars to 42", also many other Stihl equipment/gear, etc. In my opinion, having used Husky, Stihl and Echo, the Stihl product is far superior to anything else out there. In fact that's the only type of chainsaw I would recommend. The safety features, the ease of use, the simplicity and the durability come to mind. I love Stihls and they make my job easier and more fun. Personally, I can't say same about Huskies

  • I have had both huski and stihl and I dont care about who made what or where it came from. In my opion huski is the superior chainsaw!

  • They're both quality saws. People who say one is better than the other is just saying that because that's the saw they own. Some people will say "I have both but I like the stihl way better"... If that's the case then you wouldn't own both...

  • i run both and my stihls run so much better than the huskys... i prefer stihls over husky that's just my opinion... its does not take much to take the cover off when you get back to the shop and clean your air filter... its just basic maintenance

  • So your tellin me you dump shavings on your saw why your cutting. cuz when i cut my saw gets better air flow because of that opening and when the filter does get dirty guess what, i clean it ;D

  • This is like the file that either the string and only dust when cutting out when yours is to come out shavings when cutting, always cut the chain but less dust to enter the filter housing, if you leave before choking dust with who should clean the filter, so I stick with STIHL, it is easier to repair and maintenance, a greeting. STIHL 230-MS.

  • they both beat the old saws lumberjacks used to use

  • stihl are designed to run with partly clogged air filters so even though it had more saw dust on it doesn't mean it wouldn't have out run the huskey plus the carbs can compensate for the less air flow and changing air to fuel mix the gap in the saw allows more air flow to begin with plus its easy to clean the air filters also never is there a real cutting application that there wood be that much saw dust on top of the saw. stihl has more science but into the chains they use than any other saw

  • @cameronjolley85 True - Stihl does have a compensating carburetor which adjusts based on air flow, etc... But one has to ask the question, what's better for the saw's longevity and performance, adjusting the fuel flow due to a choked intake or not having a clogged breather in the first place?

  • @cameronjolley85 saw dust scuffs the piston. i rather have my saw not suck dust in then a saw that can change its mixture because of a cloged filter. BUT both extreamly well built, and quality products. i for one have both and enjoy both.

  • FAKE

  • Ummmm anyone else notice that the stihl case was open hahahahaha fucking idiots

  • @smcgrath14 Ya pretty sure if you have ever ran one of the newer model Stihl chainsaw you would know, so ur the idiot

  • they didn't closed the filter very good because of that husquarna won the competition

  • i have stihl 031 and 038 purchased in early 80s and o44 from 1996 and they still are working with no problem.

husqvarna are same good stuff like stihl -WITH better air filtration-this is my opinion

  • Thank GOD I don't plan on dumping sawdust directly on my Stihl's

HA hah ha ha ... I have 2 and they run great.

If I ever have to cut wood in a saw dust storm well I better get a HUSQVARNA

  • i like husqvarnas but maybe you should fully put the stihls filter case back on

  • @mowerwakerandblower Please read down through the comments, this has been explained a number of times. The gap is part of the Stihl design of that saw.

  • @husqyfan if thats the case then why dont mine have a gap?

  • @kc0tpi Because you don't have the same saw. Go to Stihl's website and look at a MS460 for comparison.

  • @husqyfan then maybe you should compare two saws that either both have a gap, or that both dont have a gap. MAKE IT FAIR?????? yeah that would be great, k thanks, send me the link to that video

  • The Husqvarna filter stays cleaner longer. Less filter changes/cleaning = higher productivity. A cleaner filter = a better running saw.

  • @husqyfan I've been running Jonsereds and Husqvarna for 30+ years and wouldn't run anything else! I almost forget you should be cleaning filters on a saw anymore. When I was working with the stihl guys they starting getting jealous of my 670 supers never ever breaking down or needing a filter cleaned.... Swede's live one.

  • so which one is the good saw?

    i dont get it

  • HUSQVARNA IS THE BEST!!! 61 AND 365...:)))

  • I'd still take a Stihl.

  • I have nothing bad to say about either saw I have an 044 and a smaller husky they both get the job done and with the right maintenance both are great saws

  • Husqvarna rocks!

  • WTF, he didnt even closed it properly!

  • @Stralis123 Please read down through the comments, this has been explained a number of times. The gap is part of the Stihl design of that saw.

  • @husqyfan Oh.Didnt know that.thnx

  • Looks like the husky can't breath for shit

  • I have always had stihl, mainly because there is a dealer ship is about 2 miles from my house and they always do me very good deals. I did have a husky 335, and it was nothing but trouble, bought a sthil 200T to replace it and that thing is a joy to use. Never had any problems with it at all. It needs a sharper tug to start it, but once it's running it doesn't stop...unlike the husk.y.

  • Jonsered !!!

  • Husky has 2 year warranty vrs Stihl 1 year warranty. What's that tell you?

  • @1949Dogmeat That a Husqy needs it ;)

  • I was thinking on getting the Stihl ms250, what would be the comparable model in husqvarna? and in your opinion which will be a better buy? thanks

  • @avi614614 1st, 1949Dogmeat is right, Husqvarna does offer a 2 year warranty vs. Stihl's 1 year for homeowner use. If used professionally, both companies offer a 90 day warranty. The MS250 is a great homeowner saw, not for pro use. The comparable Husqvarna is the 445. Though both are fine quality saws, the Husqvarna will provide air injection (this video) which will keep the saw running stronger for longer and an Xtorq engine for better fuel efficiency. Try the Husky 353 as a step up to semi pro

  • @avi614614 353, and its a _much_ better saw then a 250 or even a 290, Husqvarna makes better saws then stihl with the exception of the 460 magnum and the 660 magnum, that stihl was, btw, a 460, and i dont care how much saw dust they got it to suck in, pound for pound, power for power, _no one_ builds a better saw

and dont buy into the whole poulan shit talk, Electrolux is the parent company, they own husky, poulan and jonsered

that doesnt make them the same saw with different paint

  • @avi614614 The MS250 is a great home saw. It has a lot of "quick" features that don't require you use any tools to access any daily functions. Even has a tool free side cover and chain adjuster. Unless they've changed recently, I also loathe the way Husqy designed the choke and start levers. You have to pull out on one side, and the run/kill switch is on the other side. Stihl it's all one lever. Up, full choke, notch down half, saw starts grab the gas and choke turns off auto.

  • @avi614614

The Stihl will be the better buy, but take the MS 290

  • Tja husquarna eben

mein ding diese säge 372 xp

  • not bad the stihl hey,it had that much saw dust on its filter and was still putting out more power than a husky! but really this test is dumb saw dust never falls on a saw like that! show us real life tests dammit!...or is that all you husky dudes have trickery and crap? what works best sells best!....you only have to look at sale figures! thay dont lie..........lol

  • hey thanks for the parlor trick, but Ill stick with sthil

  • thats why i invested in the Husqvarna, intelligent engineering!

  • husqy power!

  • After 30 odd years felling i have never ever seen a dust spray shooting directly into the air intake of any saw regardless of any wind conditions. I started back in the last days of the 090, since then had 084's 088's and now ms880's sometimes 3 new power heads a year, three years ago had a crack with a 3120 and i can tell you from experience it was a reasonable saw, but not in the stihls league.

  • Hear in Aus, where we actually cut REAL wood (not butter) the only bushies you see with a husky are the ones that cant afford a stihl. 2 million revs don't count for turd if ya don't have the torque to pull the chain through a log. A F1 engine makes 700HP and revs to nearly 20,000, but you don,t see them in log trucks now do ya. Wake up and smell the coffee boys, it may be an age old debate but its one that is clearly won by stihl hands down every time.

  • Husqvarna 4 ever!!!!!!! my father cut a tree with 2m perimeter by the husqvarna 335 xpt which is for ''bushes''. He cut a yew!!! i hope to know that it's one of the hardests wood in the world and it is ok

  • I own Both a Husqvarna and a Stihl. I am a small engine mechanic and take care of them very well. I must say they are both great saws. Both brands have there ups and downs. I would buy either one. They are both great saws not one is better than the other.

  • Thats pretty cool, could really do with something like this on my lawn mower as that is always clogging its filters with grass and dirt.

  • All these negatives must be Stihl owners. I have run Husqvarna since 1989 and I still have the 1st ones I ever purchased a 285, 266 & 268 model along with a 365, 257, and right now I mostly run a 357. The only saws that could have oiled better were the 257s' that I ran to long a bar on at 20". These still were great saws and still function despite that. Don't blab to me about Huskys' not lasting! Bullshit! I have never had a single major problem and I have cut more wood then most anyone.

  • I think this is a poor Demo. For one when you're cutting, the chips typically fall out the bottom, not on the top, and two you can go to lowes and buy a husky, so that tells me they have to cheapen up the product to mass produce them. Like buying a john deere at a dealer vs. buying one at lowes. Everyone knows that stihl is the number one selling saw and they have been for years.

  • @djaeckels1983 Just wait until the CEO of STIHL dies or retires and they move to the box stores as well, also Husqvarna only offers the homeowner models at Lowes, the commercial saws are dealer exclusive.

  • @tylerm2007 oh yeah i forgot they also sell huskys at Fleet Farm and you can buy Commercial ones at a place called Northern tool which is also a box store. they are both good saws. but stihls are number one selling world wide.

  • @djaeckels1983 If by commercial saw you mean 460 Rancher, which is still a homeowner / landowner. I do not disagree that Stihl is a great machine, both saws are equals to each other, I prefer Husqvarna because they in my opinion are much easier to work on.

So you do know it is highly rumored that when the CEO is gone they will be selling to box stores, how long can a company turn down a multi-million dollar deal in today's economy? We will see what the future holds.

  • lets see here i have 4 stihls and i cut firewood commericial and i have never had my saw looking like that and the one husqvarna i ran the piston blown up and the company said that i put the wrong gas in it to cause it , but i have one can and i uses it in all my saws so tell y a husqvarna is better then a stihl

  • huskys rule!!!

  • Husqvarna sucks and Stihl is better

  • If your buying a saw new for your self to use only! Buy a Husky maintain it regularly and use husky oil, rev the b*llox off it and enjoy it.

If you dont like to maintain your saw and your lazy with your power tools buy the Stihl, it will put up with your lack of care for longer....

    FACT

  • I see what you did there. While the Husq may be higher in RPMs than the Stihl, the two rings and higher torque in the Stihl, along with its ability to pull air from multiple places instead of having to rely SOLELY on a single ring clearly displays how the auto oilers on the Husq are simply inferior, therefore leading to a far shorter lifespan. You may be clever enough to dump more sawdust on your competition, but where will you be when your competition dumps the dust on YOU?

  • @tonup73 I've explained this already that Husqvarna DOES use 2 rings where appropriate, ie the 576XP which is designed for hi torque due to it's logging application. I didn't bring this up below but the reason I said "typically" is the new Husqvarna X Torq engines r higher n torque regardless. If Stihl's drawing air from multiple locations is better, they wouldn't be adopting the Husqvarna technology n their latest saws. And I still have no idea how you can think we put more dust on the Stihl.

  • @husqyfan You say you explained it already, but that was my first post. So no idea who you explained that to, or why, or how or in what way. You must cease the obvious scumbaggery that is so prevalent in these trying times for outdoor power equipment manufacturers and customers. I also can't help but think that your videos may be partially responsible in some way for the tree foliage epidemic in Sweden. Have you considered the impact your products have on the environment? I thought not.

  • @husqyfan i have a 575xp,i ve had it since they were first intoduced, probably 6 years.i run 18inch bar for small stuff, and 28 inch for big logs.i always run32 to 1 oil ratio,iv cut hundred and hudreds of trees and ive never had any trouble with it.the only maintenance i do is clean it ever other use,and change the filter and spark plug once a year. Huskys rule!!!

  • so please boys informe me whats best buy just experince it seems to be sthil but huskies cant eb that bad

  • @satan31337 OK, here's the deal. Both saws are durable, quality pieces of equipment. The primary difference is that a Husqvarna is typically higher in RPMs to a Stihl where the Stihl's tend to have a bit more torque. I prefer letting the speed of the Husqvarna do the work vs. the torque of a Stihl. To me, the speed of the Husqvarna means I don't have to work as hard. There's about 100 other things that we could talk about between the two but that, to me, is the big noticable difference.

  • @satan31337 When you buy a saw, look for a couple things:

    1) an ALUMINUM side plate. The cover that holds the bar tight MUST ME METAL. It it's plastic, you'll be adjusting your bar/chain every 5 minutes.

    2) BIG NUTS(I know, haha) on that side plate. Bigger nuts spread out the force that holds the bar in place, and your bar/chain will stay tighter longer.

I have a 25-year-old Stihl 028AV Super. My dad has two 36-year-old 031s. All run like tops. I'd recommend a Stihl to anyone.

  • @satan31337 i have been told this and belive it, stihl are german and in germany there is alot of hard woods so they have more grunt to them since they where first made for local german use before they got big. huskys are from sweden or something where there is mainly soft wood forests so they rev higher and are the preferd choice for soft woods but for all round use on many differant woods hard and soft stihl will be a better bet, also finding dealers and parts is alot easier for me with stihl

  • @SuperAllen1988 ahhhh. the age old question of chain speed vs torque. anybody who has operated both saws in both types of wood understands this. Not really on the subject of air filters but you are right on the money regardless.... nice comment!

  • I Got Six Assorted Homelites That I Use And Care For Properly. I Don't Think Any Manufacterer Makes Their Saws Without The Thought Of Durability. My Biggest And Oldest Saw Was Made In The Early 70s And Has Never Had A Teardown As Long As I Have Owned It. I Found It Sitting In Someones Trash About 20 Years Ago And Would Never Sell It Let Alone Throw It Out !!!!!

  • @juno825 Two piston rings does not nessesarily equate to an engine that lasts longer. The idea of having one ring instead of 2 is to give faster throttle response. There are plenty of Chinese 2 stoke engines with a full expected engine life of around 25 hrs. that have got 2 rings. Not a good yardstick really.

  • CLEVER BASTARD: Stihl got it's intake air from magneto side and Husky trought cylinder sides. SO both saw will take dust but from different places. Stihl is more professional with it's visible fuel level and durable construction. Husqvarna got more better ergonomic and it doesn't vibrate so bad. Both are very good and long last when you remember to clean your filter after a day of hard working. Hazard conditions will put both TOYS on a test.

  • @waterfowlspecialist Actually, Husqvarna draws all it's air from the recoil side of the saw where this Stihl draws air from multiple places. Stihl does offer a fuel "window" on some of it's new saws but u have 2 compare that 2 Husqvarna's translucent fuel tank on many saws. It will still b orange but u can c the fuel n the tank. You r correct on the ergonomics but I would take issue on Stihl's being more durable, both manufacturers r dedicated 2 durability.

    All the best,

    BASTARD

  • @juno825 Husqvarna uses dual rings on saws designed for torque in professional use. Single rings are used on saws designed for speed (faster acceleration) The choice of two ring vs. one ring is an application discussion, not a quality discussion.

And as far as your comment about more dust on the Stihl, I am speechless. If anything, we intentionally put more on the Husqvarna. Regardless, do you really think there's enough difference to influence the results?

  • I run a tree removal business, and a lot of our work comes from contract work to a larger tree maintenance company, they are Australia wide. They use Stihll, we use Stihl. For good reason. Use one for a long period of time and tell me is the air filter is cause for excessive down time.. I guarentee you it doesnt. THis is not an issue. Stihl will still out last, and provide a more reliable saw than Husky 100% of the time.

  • thats why I always go for husqvarna, always have always will

  • sorry but stihls number one always will be even echo makes better product then husky

  • Now try it with a MS441...

  • Stihl is the best hands down never had luck with husky's

  • Having spent 4 years doing professional tree trimming for MCcoys and using saws for hours on end day after day we found huskeys just held up better than stihls, I have used good ones of both but when you use a saw for 4 to 5 hours only stopping long enough to refuel the huskey would run better than the stihl almost every time. But I will say when huskey stopped making the 365 special they lost a good saw.

  • No problem, I'd already figured it out. Speaking of mistakes I said I'd bought the 261 in 1976; wrong, it was 1998. Still pretty good though.

1976 was stuck in my mind because that's the year my ex-mother-in-law joined one of the first terrorist training groups; not to train, to teach!!

  • dieselrunner78. You've got it backwards, Poulan is one of the family of products made by Husqvarna as is Johnsered. Go to Wikipedia and enter Husqvarna and you can get all the info on who owns what. It's pretty interesting.

  • @oxdrift76 Ah, you said POLAND in your original message and I mistook your comment to say they were made in the country of Poland where Husqvarna does have some factories. If you are referring to Poulan, it is a brand owned by Husqvarna and is used as a homeowner brand. Some of the Husqvarna branded homeowner saws are made in the same plant but with quality upgrades the Poulans don't have. Still - all professional Husqvarnas are made in Sweden.

  • @oxdrift76 Sorry! I just realized my mistake when replying to you. I got you and dieselrunner78 confused in my reply. My mistake!

  • Re the 141. I'd planned on buying a larger Husky but it just happened Stihl was having a Canada-wide promo on their saws so I took advantage of it. The equivalent Husky would have been considerably more plus I got a spare chain.

The 261 Husky I mentioned previously was bought in 1976 and is still running fine. It's a pulp-wood area and you rarely see anything but Stihl or Husky and an occasional Johnsered.

    thanks for the reply.

  • that is so fake cause they did not have the cover on the shihl all the way the do not have a gap like that i have several of them... by the way husky is made by POLAND!!!!!!! so they are not what ppl think they are

  • @dieselrunner78 This air gap discussion has been covered already. Many Stihl saws have this gap. Yours may not. Go to Stihl's web site to research it if you like. Professional Husqvarna saws are not made in Poland, they are made in Huskvarna, Sweden. Saws made in secondary factories are targeted towards the semi - pro or homeowner.

  • @dieselrunner78 the newer stihls tend to have the gap mate mines a ms341 ,great saw ,my old 390 hasnt got a gap but its a 2002 machine ,a decent pro stihl will still piss any other make no problem

  • Last time i used my saw it wasnt burried in saw dust like those where. Most of the dust comes out of the bottom of the saw on the backstroke of the chain and not all over the top of the saw where it would be sucked into the airfilter. THANK YOU FOR WASTING 1:48 MINS OF MY LIFE

  • Onetime I saw my grandmother in the shower. Her bush starts above her belly button!

  • My problem with the little 141 Husky was that it developed a crack on the underside of the muffler and burned a hole right through the oil tank, which is plastic. The saw shop said it was a known problem (not just with the 141) and showed me a new one which has a metal plate under the muffler. So all older Husky owners beware, inspect the muffler occasionally. They gave me $50.00 for it and I bought the Stihl 290.

    .

  • @oxdrift76 I'm sorry you had this issue. The 141 was targeted for occasional users similar to what Stihl's MS250 is today. You have now moved to a saw that sounds like it fits your needs better, a semi-pro Stihl MS290. My only wish is that you had been properly matched with Husqvarna's comparable saw the first time - the Husqvarna 55 Rancher (455 Rancher today).

  • Clearly the dust will come from the bar side of the saw.

  • @only1beard Air intake is on the opposite side from the bar to reduce the amount of dust getting in. This demonstration was designed to force debris in which must be done at the point of intake.

  • why would you do that to either one of these saws? this is the dumbest comparison I've ever seen.

  • Before such tests; remove chains.

You have NO control whatsoever running two saws.

  • Owning both brands I can say the difference is there but marginal. Stihl has bought the patent and newer models come with the system.

Husky does spin out the larger chips, but fine dust (the real filter killer) still gets through. In real world use both filters eventually get clogged with fine dust and have to be replaced.

  • But a husky has a plastic crankcase.. wow.

  • Great test, however, the husquarna had sawdust thrown on both sides, where as the Stihl only the left, even so the stihl would have a worst out come.

  • you that say i don't use my saw like this are missing the whole point. This shows you how the husky air intake is superior and over time will run cleaner, longer, than the stihl. duh!

  • My wife has a Husqvarna sewing machine. Can I get in on this debate too??

Seriously though, I lived in northwestern Ontario for many years and sitll have a cabin up there. We heated with wood and still do and I've cut my share of it. I had a 261 and 141 Husky and now have a 290 Stihl. I'll go with the chap who says take your pick, they're both workhorses (and the only ones the saw shops up there want to mess with). Reminds me of the old Chev vs. Ford arguments; pointless.

  • They were going to compare The Husky and The Stihl with a McCulloch but they couldn't get The McCulloch to start ;)>)

  • Both of these saws are very good. In the real world of cutting this situation doesnt really happen. You can run both for days on end of hard cutting without cleaning the air filter. Take your pick of either saw, they wont let you down.

  • I cut a large amount of wood every year, have both Stihl and Husqvarna's and both are great saws. This Husky vs Stihl crap is annoying! They both have good and bad saws in their line up. Pro harvesters use both brands.

I remember the days when chainsaws where made all from metal, talk about getting a work out.

Nice demo, but in the real world one would kick and move the piles of chip out of the way before burying the saw...

  • if I ever get into a problem that I have to pour buckets of shavings on my saw. id go with a husqvarna, however stihl still owns the record for overall best saw in the world.

go pound some salt, nobody will ever live up to the stihl name, stop trying.

  • avec 8 sthil nous n avons jamais eu aucun probleme de ce genre

  • lol, look at all the saw dust the stihl kept out

  • My dad has had the same Stihl since I can remember, and he has used it often as he is a landscaper.

Never once have we had an intake issue like this.

Each product has its flaws, and Stihl is no different.

But a Stihl will out cut and outlive a Husky any day.

  • ill take my 1973 homelite any day.

  • Fuck Stihl!!!!

    Husqvarna is the best chainsaw......

  • i use a stihl every working day and it never sucks as much dust in as you showed , who runs a saw buried in dust anyway , the stihl is way better ergonamicly designed than husky with ther bolky air cleaners and spring handles . long as the air cleaner is cleand every day or 2 there are no problems. My opinion stihl is a better saw i have owned 3 huskys and 9 stihls . huskys are cheaper here in nz but we all know you pay for quality

  • when u sharpen your chain clean the air filter as well. i run both stihl and husky like em both. 028 super, 034av, ms310, 282. havent had problems with any of them cept normal wear and tear.

  • Try putting the filter cover back on COMPLETELY and the piles of shavings that you pour on your saw while you work won't be sucked in. I have found that saw dust falls with gravity rather than back up into your saw. Maybe things are different in the Northern Hemisphere.

  • @000BigKev Filter cover was securely fastened. Read further down as this horse has already been beat to death.

  • @husqyfan Ive had my well used Stihl for 2yrs now cut at least 3 times a week during winter never even checked the air cleaner... never done anything to it.

  • I'd like to have them both !!!!

  • I stihl like my stihl.

  • Echo saws are the best. Ha ha, you guys need to drink more beer.

  • FFS people! A stihl and a husqvarna arn't that big of a difference. They are both good saws. I use both stihl and husqvarna chainsaws, bush saws in my job. And the biggest differece is that stihl looks bad with the white paint.

    //forest worker from Sweden.

  • stihl the best.

  • We run saws in commercial conditions 60 hours a week. We have constant problems with the auto oilers on the Husky's. I will grant that the air filter stays cleaner, but all that means is when you fill your Stihl with gas you knock out the air filter. Bottom line: Everytime we buy a husky, we get a year, maybe two out of it. We have stihls going on their 10th, with the same mechanics working on both. End Of Story

  • @Maverick8t88 I get better service from my Stihls as well. I dont seem to have a sawdust problem....But I didn't know I was supposed to dump sawdust on it either? Is that in the manual or something? I must have missed it!

  • @copperheadmarine

I though sawdust/oil/ and gas make engines work? I best revert back to pouring sugar down my gas tank then

  • @Maverick8t88 I cut iron bark here in Australia nsw south coast and the MS660 Magnum is the bee's knee's ive seen the husky in action and sorry the Stihl eats it in every way.... like Maverick says its too easy to tap the airfilter out when refueling ... cheers

  • Stihl Fuck!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that does not prove a fucking thing the saws cutt from the other side you jackass not from the crank rope turn it up side down then try it

  • @rigrunner281 Air intake is through the recoil side of the saw.

  • @husqyfan and the dust comes from the other side with a sharp chain the saw dust will blow right past the air intake

  • @rigrunner281 I agree that dust comes from the other side of the saw however, I log and limb everyday and we have huskies that are several years old and have never had the filter blown off much less changed. Every stihl we own seems slower and heavier than its husky counterpart. I am not a husky fanboy this is hust what me and my dad have seen after sawing for a living for the last 20 years. Our local dealer carries Husqvarna and Stihl so we probably won't buy another stihl.

  • @rigrunner281

    bahahaha

  • Stihl suck I will never own one again. Husqy 353e best saw I ever had.

  • we can clearly see thath air filters ar good to use.. XD

  • All saws aren't created equal but none of the saws that are being bitched about here are bad.

  • I would agree that this test is a waste of time, only a complete retard would dump handfuls of woodchips on top of a saw during use (yes, I mean you in the video).

I work with saws all day, every day, I have used both Stihl and Husky saws, and find that they are both capable of doing the job they were designed for.

Air filters get dirty. that is why they are there. If the video went on to show debris in the cylinder, then it might have a point, but, alas, it proves nothing.

  • @custardtriumph your not getting the point of the test then.

  • I'll take a Jonsered

  • Ya I have a Stil & it likes to plug it's ai cleaner up I have to clean it often

  • accurate test, everytime i use a saw the saw dust is POURING ON THE FUCKING TOP OF THE COVER what a joke, also i like the way you would never dream of doing this test with top handled saws because you know the stihl would eat it for breakfast.

  • Husqvarna №1

  • plz gief 108 seconds back

  • ok , the most common sthil saw has this gap in the cover (034) model , and no one thats smart buys new saws , the best saws were husks made 15 - 30 years ago , i use a husk model 50 and a husk 266 xp everyday that are are both over 20 years old, the model 50 is over 30 years old and has never had a seal changed!. i also use sthil (026 , 032 , 034) , husks are by far way better saw. you guys are just plain retarded to buy any new saw if you ask me. i own a 026 that has this gap in the cover

  • lol half the down time on a saw is the welch plug cuz the freaking ethenol eats the glue off it ....

  • i burn firewood and cut all of the wood i use myself. i own a stihl 029 and a jonsered 2051 turbo. the stihl is a good saw. never gives me any problems but it is heavy and slow compared to the jonsered.

  • and who throws handfuls of sawdust on their saws while working? both brands are great saws. proper maintenence is important. it is extremely easy to keep the air filters clean on either saw.

  • Stihl owns all

  • Ive always heard the main difference in stihl and husky is the stihls have a 2 ring piston and the huskys have 1. Which leads to longer life in the stihls. Ide rather clean my filter a few extra times than own a saw from lowes that has very few places to get good service or repair.

  • @manostihl How piston rings are used is 100% based on application of the product. If a saw is meant for endurance and torque (ie 576XP) two rings are used. If the saw is designed for speed and responsiveness then a single ring is used. (ie 346XP) And as far as the Lowe's thing, Husqvarna has four homeowner saws marketed through Lowe's and each store is paired with an authorized servicing dealer.

  • @husqyfan no their not. they give you a warranty that you have to buy, that says if it breaks bring it in and we will give you a new one

  • @hlandscaping17 It's called the Lowe's Service Advantage - there are over 1,000 servicing dealers working with Lowe's stores...they ALSO have an extended warranty program where replacement is one of many options.

  • @manostihl You boys need to get your facts straight. ALL Husqvarnas do not use one ring and ALL Stihls do not use two. It depends on the quality/price level of saw that you are talking about. Lowes only sells a few light to mid duty Husqy saws. Any Husqvarna dealer will provide you with excellent support and performance level of saw you may want. We service/repair Husqy. and Stihl and they are both great saws. And the air filter cover was notproperly installed on the Stihl.

  • @manostihl I work for lowes, and I still bought a Stihl just because of the dealer service thing, and parts being more readily available for the stihl.

  • the damn gap going into the intake on the right side chainsaw is WAAAY too much - not the filter..just the a design flaw

  • hiskies run poulan engines still a nice saw but the stihl is my favorite

  • @frodo70444 All Husqvarna engines are designed as a higher spec than Poulan. Husqvarna homeowner and semi-pro engines are produced in the US. However, all XP saws are designed, tested, and built in Sweden.

  • echo is the best chainsaw

  • husky just keeps on whippin german ass... i love it..

  • does yamaha have anything to do with husqys. all the yammy dealers i see sell husqys. makes since to me both are the best

  • @123devinzz1 Yamaha has nothing to do with Husqvarna on the outdoor power side and the motorcycle side is owned by BMW now. I think the Yamaha link is just a coincidence

  • @123devinzz1 thats weird that yamaha sells them. bombardier sells them in many locations. My buddy owns one of those shops.

  • Stihl for President

  • huskys suck !!!! nothing beats a stihl

  • @fdny214 Huskys suck air in to the carb cleaner than Stihl.

  • kusqyfan this video is a joke! its clear that this is rigged! The truth is that both Stihl and husk both make a damn fine saw... I hope you don't live in the States as I'm sure Stihl will be looking at this and thinking "product defamation"

  • @2x4tube Husqvarna has been doing this demonstration live and via video for 20 years. It's not rigged. As a matter of fact, the air injection system works so well Stihl has started copying it within the last couple years on a few of their saws.
