  • i had to come back to this vid btw. just to let you know I've learned a ton from you and this.vids is the one that got me started haha.

  • @dlight247it's cool to know that Darren :) i'm glad this vid is one of my most seen cause i kinda like what i did here ;) peace out.

  • Wow man! Amazing! ;-) Nice tone also!

  • Gregg, Hello, I am Dee. I apologize for getting you mixed-up with another great bass player-MarloweDk. You look similar. So, you love bass and FUNK to-Alright!! You are great!! I am a begginner bas play....just learning to read music. Bass & FUNK is great!! I am African-American and I come from a culture that creates FUNK...like James Brown, I hope you will continue to upload bass lines....so that I can continue to admire your talent.

  • @nefferteri2 hi Dee thanks for the nice words and have fun with the bass :)

    peace out

  • You can play all the FUNK your heart desires!!!!!

  • Marlowe, play on!!!

  • Very, very nice. I ran across this after searching for what a sadowsky sounded like with flats. Anyway if you get the chance, could you comment on the TI flats? Do you like them? I'm still searching for the perfect flat. Older 45-100 chromes seem to be the ticket at the moment but I'm still looking. Thanks and again, great playing.

  • @Bobbyki46 the TI i had at the time this vid was shot were really excellent sound-wise but very low tension (took me a while to get used to it) before that, i had 50/110 Fenders that i used a lot with C#F#BE or DGCF tuning and right now i have 45/105 Rotosound JB77 in standard tuning (i'm not specially found of 'em but it was the only set available when i had to change strings) i'd say the TI have the best sound but the difference ain't that drastic either...thanks for the nice words :)

  • yep, I'm going to copy a few bars of this

  • pretty damn tasty & fungky fo a whiteboy, lol, think I'll cop some licks off ya

  • @MrGregiry i'm not white, i'm kinda pink actually.

  • good job

  • Just to be honest, you are one of my biggest influences, i dont have many vids of me playing bass because the camera makes me self conscious but one day when i get brave enough i'll come back on here with a bass vid and you'll proli see how much of an influence you are on me. keep playing. you are so sick on the bass.

  • @dlight247 haha thanks, cool to know i can inspire somebody to play...keep listening, practicing and most of all enjoying it, that's the key ;) Peace out.

  • Wow muito bom

  • groovy man!

  • that was cold blooded.

  • That was colder than this weather in Philly... ;-)

  • haha yes bars will be stolen... great work man, very tasty

  • smooth groove

  • Very impressive :)

  • I love the "blaxploitation" era and the soundtracks are the Funkiest EVER!! Excellent phrasing, great technique!! Congrats!!

  • Very inspiring and tasteful playng, ill will most certainly grab a few bars for my myself:-)

  • Incredibly tasteful!!!! Awesome phrasing!!!

  • @TPBass1224 Thanks, glad you dig it :) Phrasing is the most important thing improvisation-wise in my opinion...that's why Marcus is THE cat ;)
