can you get there without a boat? maybe stay on land somewhere nearby and just rent a boat or something? im living in Java next year so would like to come here often as possible.
@gotmyfingerrscrowsed Boat only, from harbours in west Java.Illegal to land on Island- Nat park .A yank camped there for a few nights- rangers found the tent ,,not him . Island has big hungry cats,jaguar types ..
@hogiesanKenobi cool, I meant more like, can you get there without a touro surf travel boat which they try to slug you 2g for a week of surfing.
can you just rent something off the locals and cruise on out. camping dosent really worry me, im sure I can handle myself and if not so be it, and officials can always be bribed so no biggy there..
@gotmyfingerrscrowsed The main surf areas of cimaja etc wil have others looking for the same waves . Boats leave from Cislock harbour and other places and there are other waves . Sounds like you have it pretty figured. Be an ambassador as well as a surfer. Good luck.
