I'm not or ever have been in the service, however, one thing I know as a regular civilian is that our troops are a lot smarter and a lot more knowledgeable of what's going on in politics then many people here at home, and they support Ron Paul
both parties are on the same side seeking the same power. whichever candidate is deemed the "loser" still has his or her seat in the congress/senate and simply takes a back seat in the same ring of power. the things ron paul would challenge are the same things both sides would agree on and he represented "REAL CHANGE". this is why they sought vehemently to disclude him, because he may bring truth to the light, and if that happens those in power would soon have none. we passed on our last chance.
Ron Paulites are completely retarded. They construct an image that Ron Paul has a lot of support, however he barely got any votes in the primary. What a sad little racist man. He;ll never be president of a local credit union let alone america.
wow... I guess you enjoy writing things just to try to piss people off... 1. The Ron Paul Newsletter that was full of crazy survivalist nonsense about a coming race war with the "fleet of foot" negros.
2. He got 1.6% of the vote in the primaries. He carried no states but he *did* come in second in the Northern Mariana Islands. So that may count for something.

Debate = a discussion of different view points. How do you have a "debate" without opposing view points? Oh ya, it's the FAUX News Show.... Not the news, rather a push of their agenda.
I think he was considering how much information he should give out--was he still active duty? His commanders might not like him saying "it was an unjust, unconstitutional war."
Personally I wouldn't want to say what unit I was with, and his mos might have revealed that.
He didn't sound to me like he was lying about his service, but as dlondon said, whatever.
They lie like hell and think they can get away with it. Keep lying FOX. EVENTUALLY there will be NO side walk to walk on for you. EVENTUALLY no Person will speak on your cameras for any reason or purpose. The Fox NAME = Shit
I dont believe that men can walk on water or float in the air after raising from the grave but it doesnt stop billions of christians from beleiving it.
Ron quotes his sources re: military donations in his commercial dont say "i dont believe" counter it with facts
First off, the statistics the caller used were correct and they're from the FEC results on fundraising that by law must be reported.
Secondly, I didn't think he was lying either. With the way our liberties are being stripped I wouldn't be too eager to give out my name, rank, and social security number after calling my employers actions unconstitutional.
Any Presidential Candidate who would show up for the Fox news censored debate should be ashamed to aspire to the position of leader of this free country. Shame on you for dignifing Fox news with your presence. None of you who participated in this disgrace will recieve my vote.
although the guy in the video is incorrect... ron paul is not a good representation of the republican party nevertheless. He should have ran with a separate party. I agree with him on a number of issues but he doesn't have a chance in the race.
So this guy doesn't use facts just says I don't think the troops support Ron Paul over McCain. What a joke. Ron Paul has facts to back it up in the commercial. It has been widely reported Ron Paul gets more money from the troops than all other candidates combined.
lol, "I don't think..." That's right, he doesn't think, so why doesn't he just tell the truth without thinking--it takes less effort than lying like that.
I was honorably discharged from active duty in 2005 and Ron Paul has my support along with many others I served with. Ron Paul is the only candidate running who understands the root causes of this country's problems. If he doesn't win, Australia is looking better and better every day..
I'm a veteran, and they know we support Ron Paul and freedom, and that's why they want to pass the veteran's disarmament act (not the real name--just look it up) before they try to steal the election.
McCain, the only person with a valid opinion on the conflict we are in... he has seen combat, lived it, and knows the dangers (humanitarian and national security) of a withdrawl from iraq too quickly. Ron paul was a DILDO (direct input limited duty officer) not a soldier, not a commander, not a leader. Also i dont like his racist comments in the past.
Well, as far as McCain goes, he wants us in there for a 100 years. Not very realistic, imho. He's a loyal party man, except he subscribes to the wrong party -- which is the Neo-conservative party. Paul is the only ANTI-neo-conservative in the race and is a classical republican and follows their original platform. He's definitely a republican in the Goldwater tradition.
I've known of Dr. Paul since October of 2001, which is when he blew the whistle to the public on the then secret, and now very infamous "USA Patriot Act of 2001". He was only one of two Republicans to vote against it (out of the 535 members of Congress) noting its un-Constitutionality. That's where he caught my eye and my ear. You can't believe everything in print as the gospel truth. See ronpaul2008.c om to the recent political smear. He's not a racist at all.
It's interesting that this very old (these newsletters were from a decade ago) and already dealt with "issue" suddenly finds its way into the press to be rehashed THE DAY BEFORE the NH Primaries. That certainly implies that it was an attempt at a planned and deliberate political smear job to not allow him any time to respond to the patently false allegations before the voting occurred. I think they refer to that type of event as "dirty tricks" in politics. You should know better and probably do.
Its not exactly a dirty trick if it is true, reguardless of when it happened. And of course ron paul's people are going to try to spin it, he disassociates himself with the articles with bat messages, and associates himself with those that have good ones. Ron paul is not a serious presidential candidate, not because of the "media bias" but because his base is too small, and his message too radical. He wants a coup, not an election and his supporters do too.
Yes, that's right. His supporters want REAL and SUBSTANTIVE change -- not more of the same -- which is all John McCain has to offer. Btw, I'm a former resident of Arizona and know McCain very well, because he was my Senator. The people of Arizona, which is a border State, are furious with him for his position on the immigration issue and essentially offering amnesty to illegals.
And the "Ron Paul is a racist" game is getting really old. It's simply political propaganda and slander and you seek to perpetuate a myth. I know this candidate like the back of my hand, and have studied and monitored his career for over six years, and my conclusion is, that he's not a racist -- at all.
In fact, he promotes and advocates individual liberty and Rights, which is a not a group mentality which contradicts any "racist" notions. That's inconsistent with his whole philosophy and he's well known for his principled integrity in applying it.
how about the taking money from white supremacists? Also McCain's numbers are as high in his state as they have ever been... im an AZ resident too, and McCain did not offer "Amnesty" he wants to deal with each on an individual basis. "I'm not interested in telling a kid fighting in iraq i am deporting his grandmother"
What about Ron Paul not taking Federal matching funds to finance his campaign (the public's money) like McCain has. That's yet another demonstration of the consistency and principled integrity of Dr. Paul's philosophy. He refuses to ask for, or take, Federal matching funds instead relying upon his grassroots supporters (which are diverse) to provide the funding for his campaign.
If "white supremacists" (or anyone else for that matter) wants to contribute to his campaign, then why would he not accept their money, even when he demonstrably doesn't support their views? And how is he to screen the backgrounds of each of the tens of thousands of grassroots supporters (real people, not corps, nor special interests, nor PAC's) that are contributing millions of dollars that come in from the grassroots? That's not realistic, nor is it necessary.
In fact, he's publicly stated that if ANYONE wants to contribute to his campaign, he'll gladly accept their money, with the provision, that he doesn't necessarily support their viewpoint.
As far as McCain's "numbers" being "high" in Arizona, of course you must be speaking of poll numbers. Which polls are you citing and is Ron Paul (who is extraordinarily well received in AZ) included in the "poll" that you cite? What is it, the Arizona Republic's poll. If it is, then the poll is laughable and most likely not very credible (to say the least, because I'm quite familiar with the Arizona Republic's political bend. That's not an unbiased rag, by any means.
Obviously there is nothing i can say that would at all convince you otherwise, just the simple satisfaction of seeing that crazy, looney, conspiracy ridden, racist, hack, lose badly, as he has in EVERY PRIMARY.
You mean one caucus and one primary. And that's all they are: primaries. The NH primary's results are questionable and are still being scrutinized. And actually you sound like the crazy, looney hack for supporting a guy that's a known hothead and wants to keep us at war for next 100 years. A vote for McCain is like another vote for George Bush and you'll get the Gov't you absolutely deserve if you don't start waking up to that inconvenient truth.
And no, there is nothing you can say that will change my mind. You sound like you probably voted for Bush & Co and you probably think he's doing one heck of a job, eh? Well, I can proudly say, that I did not vote for him and never would have. I was right then, and I'm right now.
Barry Goldwater is not his father, McCain was Barry Sr.'s close confidant and protege. As we all know not everyone is their father (Bush jr. and sr.) and by the way history will view bush favorably. And the fact that we have had only one primary and iowa, obviously you havent been in politics as long as I have (21 years on the "inside") i have seen everything that happens, and with no momentum, a radical support base, and no party support he WILL LOSE, bet me on it ill bet everything I have.
rofl - you sound like George Stephanopolus. Yep, I wish I had your "crystal ball" prediction powers. Gee if I had that, I could be a billionaire in one year. Are you a billionaire yet? Oh, you are so politically astute and wise. And you choose John McCain as your candidate. For that, I have to lmao!
Ron Paul has incredible momentum, an exponentially-increasing grassroots base that is diverse spanning the political spectrum (which is required for a grassroots candidate), and the NH Republican Party stood up for him when he was unfairly excluded from the NH round table forum. We will make every attempt to win.
As far as Bush going down in history favorably, now you've really got me laughing. Bush/Cheney should've been impeached a long time ago for taking us into Iraq until false pretenses and deliberately misleading the American People into yet another undeclared and unprovoked war in Iraq that John promises to keep going for the next 100 years.
Define war, because if war you mean naked agression, which this conflict is not we will not be there for the next 100 years, nor have we been fighting that at all. This war is about radical religious belief and political coersion. He does not want us DYING for 100 years, he is simply saying if our presence is needed in the area we will stay. And sir, i am not prepared to let al queda say they defeated the united states of america, which EVEN ron paul loves.
Bullshit. It's about oil and control of the region and you damn well know it. Yes, we're going to bring democracy to the middle east! More bullshit. They're attacking us because they don't like our freedoms. Even more bullshit. We're over there for money and to increase the empire. it's that pure and simple. It's the Neo-conservative way.
I am not a neo-con, so lets not paste labels. And the war is NOT about oil if you did a little research you would understand that we get almost no oil from iraq if any. We were attacked for a myriad of reasons, go read bin laden's justification for the attacks, it is his belief that the entire world must accept allah as their god and mohammed as his prophet, NOT what the qu'ran says but his message anyways. And we are not over there for money we spend it there... lots of it.
Come on, whats next i have heard it all from you paul-ites, facist, nazi, warmonger, whatever else, simple fact is none of you have been there, none of you have bled for your country, and i doubt any of you posess the education to understand what is ACTUALLY going on. I have studied world politics all my life, so want to go... lets go, but you had better do your research.
oh yeah... one last thing... if I hear one word about the phantom CFR i'm going to simply write anything you say off as stupidity, dont throw your stupid world domination theories at me, those done even work in cartoons.
My last comment for the evening, if McCain really were some evil neo-con, CFR, militray industrial complex, whatever tell me WHY BOTH of his sons are in the military, one of them (18 years old) is a front line rifleman in the USMC in one of the hottest spots in the country... and his other son training to be a combat officer? Would a man so hellbent on killing americans with his warmonger ways really put his sons into that kind of danger?
If you support John McCain for President, who subscribes to the Strauss/Kristol-brand of neo-conservative political philosophy, then, if you're philosophically consistent and honest, you must subscribe to the same philosophy. Neo-conservatism is much more than a label, it's the current driving social and political philosophy (that's Machiavelian in nature) and force that shapes our entire foreign and domestic policies.
The CFR is the premier neo-conservative "think tank" that heavily influences almost all of our major foreign policy making decisions. Major players in the Council on Foreign Relations are such noteworthy characters as Dick Cheney (who was a former chairman), Rupert Murdock of Fox, Bill Kristol (former Bush I "associate", David Rockefeller (of the Rockefeller banking dynasty), and on and on. It's the power club for the ruling elite of this Country.
Of course, the CFR supports all the major tier candidates and ALL are members or former members of the CFR. John McCain has been a contributing member of the CFR for most of his political career. Ron Paul is not associated with, nor a member of the CFR. In fact, he opposes the all too influential nature of the CFR on gov't policy (and always has).
As far as Iraq goes, we weren't attacked by Iraq, nor did they pose an imminent threat to our National Security (no WMD's were ever found). We were deliberately misled that Iraq was connected to Al-Qaida (Cheney has repeatedly said it) which is false. Even the 9/11 Commission Report recognizes that fact.
Our enemy is Al-qaida, and we should our efforts, with a Constitutional letter of Marque, to pursue Bin Laden (as Ron Paul proposed to the Congress in 2002) rather than pre-emptively, provocatively, and un-Constitutionally invading a sovereign nation that was no imminent threat to us. There was no declaration of war with this sovereign nation. Therefore, this is an illegal war.
Your candidate, John McCain, along with all of his CFR "associates", supports this totally illegal war. In fact, he gave it his full blessing and voted for it, and has continued to vote for it. My candidate, Ron Paul, is the ONLY Republican candidate that does NOT support continuation of an illegal war, didn't vote to allow it in the first place and argued vehemently against it, has consistently voted against continuing it, and opposes the neo-conservative doctrine behind it.
As a veteran, I know that you took a solemn oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. If you support this illegal and un-Constitutional war, then you have seriously violated your oath by not steadfastly opposing it and bringing our military forces home. They are fighting an illegal war, and we're doing everything possible to bring them safely home as quickly as possible.
You should be doing the same, that is, if you believe in the rule of law, the sactity of your oath, and truly support the laws and principles clearly laid out in our Constitution. To do otherwise, is not only hypocritical, its essentially treason. This is one of the reasons I could never support most of the Presidential candidates currently in the race. The exceptions are Mike Gravel, Ron Paul, and Dennis Kucinich -- all who oppose this illegal war and all are anti-empire.
The Founders did not want entangling alliances, nation-building, and the like. Their advice was sound back then, and still is now. And Ron Paul is the ONLY Republican candidate advocating it. I fully support the Constitution and the rule of law, along with the founding principles and architecture of this nation. Do you? That is the question...
The court of public opinion does not determine legality, by your logic a large number of the conflicts (tripoli, gulf war, somalia conflict, greneda, panama) are all illegal. The president has the ability to send troops where he wished, and congress supported him in this venture, so the Legality issue does not fly. And by saying i committed treason by obeying the orders of those apointed above me is simply a farce an infact offensive, you have never served.
Also by your logic a VAST majority of the members of congress committed your "treason" through support of the conflict. McCain does NOT want to take over the world, or build a global empire or whatever other conspiracy shit you want. Is Obama a member of the CFR, and what determines "Member" I have gone through the mccain schedule for the last 3 years and NOWHERE does he have a meeting with the CFR.
Finally, there is no ruling elite of the country, some of the organizations members belong to are distasteful, yes, but McCain was the son of a military family, not generally highly reguarded by most elitists, infact his military history goes all the way back to the revolution with General Young (under washington), and every generation since has served... so if his family are not patriots and dont love the constitution than no one does
When you can come up with a decent argunment besides accusations of megolomania and redicilous conspiracy theories then you come back, you have nothing but stupidity.
McCain subscribes to the same agenda as the CFR, which is global domination and imperialism (empire), NAU, etc. You seem to be wrong yet again. In fact, you are. So you really want to vote for this guy McCain? And you don't think this is an illegal war? "Pulblic opinion" DOES determine legality since we (We the People) are the sovereigns. The government is our servant, not our master. We're the sovereigns, not the government. You've got it all ass-backwards there fallenprnce.
Have you ever actually read and studied the constitution and the declaration of independence? I can't believe you're a veteran and don't take your oath seriously. Either you're incredibly stupid, or incredibly naive and ignorant.
Incredible. Unbelievable. Coming from a vet. I don't think you are.
I AM a veteran, and i HAVE studied the constitution, and i DO take my oath VERY seriously, throwing soem shitty youtube videos and wikipedia posts dont mean a thing, PROVE to me the CFR is active in trying to take over the world. And also McCain supports WINNING the war, give me a REALISTIC alternative, pulling out.. to leave a population to be slaughtered? Yeah fucking awesome. And finally none of you have served, none of you understand the oath, so dont presume to judge ANYONE who served.
it sure doesn't sound like you 'studied the constitution' or take your 'oath VERY seriously at all, so-called veteran boy. yeah, sure, none of us have ever served. trying to lay the newt-like guilt trips on us too? you're too much. and we're judging you right now.
If you have "studied" the constitution, then you know that he federal income tax is a fraud perpetrated on the American people. I respect our soldiers, although I happen to know that most are young and impressionable.
If you need "proof" of anything - check out "Zeitgeist the movie - the federal reserve" Remember, you're never too old to stop learning. Educate yourselves at libertyforlife (dot com) as well. Silly rabbits....
Notice that none of the other republicans don't EVER directly challenge Ron Paul on the economics question? They avoid the topic when he's around as much as possible because they know what he does in congress: he is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade and Technology. They can't match him on experience in monetary policy as he is congress's expert.
The guy who called lied and made Ron Paul look bad. It was obvious that the guy wasn't really a military member. I mean he couldn't even remember where he was stationed or what he did. He could've just stated his statistics and showed his support for Dr. Ron Paul without lying.
Or perhaps he decided not to answer? It was an improper question - the guy called to talk about Ron Paul and the debate - not to be challenged on his bona fides. It was obvious he was being set up for a shut down and that's exactly what these clowns did!
You guys can try to excuse him all you want, but he obviously had no answers to the questions being asked, because he lied in the first place and he wasn't someone who could think quick on his feet. It took him like 2 minutes to blurt out Baghdad and the only reason he said Baghdad is because he probably doesn't know any other Iranian cities. He could've just made his point and moved on, but instead he took it upon himself to lie and in doing so he made Ron Paul look bad.
Killer, I don't know if he lied or not but it was probably his first time on the air - he actually reminded me of a rabbit caught in headlights. Can you tell me honestly that you could be/were absolutely cool the first time you are/were on the air? This guy got rattled and froze. That's all - but the CSPAN guy knew what he was doing - he shut up a Ron Paul supporter.
To killer, Our troops are in Iraq not Iran. Baghdad is in Iraq atleast he knows where the troops are if he is lying. Im sure you just made a mistake so Ill quit giving you hell now. But if not google maps is always good to look into.
Even C-SPAN joins in on the Ron Paul lies and distortion. The whole damn media and corporate world hates this miracle of a man because of he speaks the Truth. Watch the ABC debate video in my favorites where all the candidates are laughing at him when he speaks nothing but the Truth. It turns my stomach that America cannot ssee this.
The moderator on CSPAN has this habit of interrupting the callers with questions when he doesn't like the caller. There is another younger lady that does the same thing. The older moderators don't do this, the ones who have been with the show for years. A new and unpleasant turn of events since Ron Paul callers started calling the show more and more.
Ron will make his second Tonight Show appearance Monday night(Jan 7). Jay, btw, is also upset at FOX's exclusion. Plus, of course, he wants good ratings, and that's what Ron brings.
funny how we don't even have a gov't + the media that is even remotely labeled a "democracy". Wat's more funny is that we are spreading democracy to other nations while we don't have the fundamental basis of democracy in our doorstep. Pity..
John McCain is a psychopath who is likely suffering from psychosis because of his experiences in Vietnam, I would doubt very strongly that most soldiers would like to be led by him.

Ron Paul does get more support among active duty military personnel and veterans in every branch of the armed forces across the board!
mikeyonfire2 4 years ago
So this guy doesn't use facts just says I don't think the troops support Ron Paul over McCain. What a joke. Ron Paul has facts to back it up in the commercial. It has been widely reported Ron Paul gets more money from the troops than all other candidates combined.
Choke on that slapnut.
WTC7WasPulled 4 years ago
Who are you going to believe the policy makers or the active duty military who are fighting this war in Iraq?
lastlady 4 years ago
lol, "I don't think..." That's right, he doesn't think, so why doesn't he just tell the truth without thinking--it takes less effort than lying like that.
EchelonMonitor 4 years ago
I was honorably discharged from active duty in 2005 and Ron Paul has my support along with many others I served with. Ron Paul is the only candidate running who understands the root causes of this country's problems. If he doesn't win, Australia is looking better and better every day..

I'm a veteran, and they know we support Ron Paul and freedom, and that's why they want to pass the veteran's disarmament act (not the real name--just look it up) before they try to steal the election.
EchelonMonitor 4 years ago
Im a veteran and i sure as hell dont support ron paul.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
Why not? And who do you support?
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
McCain, the only person with a valid opinion on the conflict we are in... he has seen combat, lived it, and knows the dangers (humanitarian and national security) of a withdrawl from iraq too quickly. Ron paul was a DILDO (direct input limited duty officer) not a soldier, not a commander, not a leader. Also i dont like his racist comments in the past.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
Well, as far as McCain goes, he wants us in there for a 100 years. Not very realistic, imho. He's a loyal party man, except he subscribes to the wrong party -- which is the Neo-conservative party. Paul is the only ANTI-neo-conservative in the race and is a classical republican and follows their original platform. He's definitely a republican in the Goldwater tradition.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
I've known of Dr. Paul since October of 2001, which is when he blew the whistle to the public on the then secret, and now very infamous "USA Patriot Act of 2001". He was only one of two Republicans to vote against it (out of the 535 members of Congress) noting its un-Constitutionality. That's where he caught my eye and my ear. You can't believe everything in print as the gospel truth. See ronpaul2008.c om to the recent political smear. He's not a racist at all.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
It's interesting that this very old (these newsletters were from a decade ago) and already dealt with "issue" suddenly finds its way into the press to be rehashed THE DAY BEFORE the NH Primaries. That certainly implies that it was an attempt at a planned and deliberate political smear job to not allow him any time to respond to the patently false allegations before the voting occurred. I think they refer to that type of event as "dirty tricks" in politics. You should know better and probably do.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Its not exactly a dirty trick if it is true, reguardless of when it happened. And of course ron paul's people are going to try to spin it, he disassociates himself with the articles with bat messages, and associates himself with those that have good ones. Ron paul is not a serious presidential candidate, not because of the "media bias" but because his base is too small, and his message too radical. He wants a coup, not an election and his supporters do too.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
bad, not bat
fallenprnce 4 years ago
Yes, that's right. His supporters want REAL and SUBSTANTIVE change -- not more of the same -- which is all John McCain has to offer. Btw, I'm a former resident of Arizona and know McCain very well, because he was my Senator. The people of Arizona, which is a border State, are furious with him for his position on the immigration issue and essentially offering amnesty to illegals.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
And the "Ron Paul is a racist" game is getting really old. It's simply political propaganda and slander and you seek to perpetuate a myth. I know this candidate like the back of my hand, and have studied and monitored his career for over six years, and my conclusion is, that he's not a racist -- at all.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
In fact, he promotes and advocates individual liberty and Rights, which is a not a group mentality which contradicts any "racist" notions. That's inconsistent with his whole philosophy and he's well known for his principled integrity in applying it.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
how about the taking money from white supremacists? Also McCain's numbers are as high in his state as they have ever been... im an AZ resident too, and McCain did not offer "Amnesty" he wants to deal with each on an individual basis. "I'm not interested in telling a kid fighting in iraq i am deporting his grandmother"
fallenprnce 4 years ago
What about Ron Paul not taking Federal matching funds to finance his campaign (the public's money) like McCain has. That's yet another demonstration of the consistency and principled integrity of Dr. Paul's philosophy. He refuses to ask for, or take, Federal matching funds instead relying upon his grassroots supporters (which are diverse) to provide the funding for his campaign.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
If "white supremacists" (or anyone else for that matter) wants to contribute to his campaign, then why would he not accept their money, even when he demonstrably doesn't support their views? And how is he to screen the backgrounds of each of the tens of thousands of grassroots supporters (real people, not corps, nor special interests, nor PAC's) that are contributing millions of dollars that come in from the grassroots? That's not realistic, nor is it necessary.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
In fact, he's publicly stated that if ANYONE wants to contribute to his campaign, he'll gladly accept their money, with the provision, that he doesn't necessarily support their viewpoint.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
As far as McCain's "numbers" being "high" in Arizona, of course you must be speaking of poll numbers. Which polls are you citing and is Ron Paul (who is extraordinarily well received in AZ) included in the "poll" that you cite? What is it, the Arizona Republic's poll. If it is, then the poll is laughable and most likely not very credible (to say the least, because I'm quite familiar with the Arizona Republic's political bend. That's not an unbiased rag, by any means.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Obviously there is nothing i can say that would at all convince you otherwise, just the simple satisfaction of seeing that crazy, looney, conspiracy ridden, racist, hack, lose badly, as he has in EVERY PRIMARY.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
You mean one caucus and one primary. And that's all they are: primaries. The NH primary's results are questionable and are still being scrutinized. And actually you sound like the crazy, looney hack for supporting a guy that's a known hothead and wants to keep us at war for next 100 years. A vote for McCain is like another vote for George Bush and you'll get the Gov't you absolutely deserve if you don't start waking up to that inconvenient truth.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
And no, there is nothing you can say that will change my mind. You sound like you probably voted for Bush & Co and you probably think he's doing one heck of a job, eh? Well, I can proudly say, that I did not vote for him and never would have. I was right then, and I'm right now.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Oh, and by the way, the son of Arizona's most famous Senator (which is not John McCain) -- Barry Goldwater -- supports and endorses Ron Paul 100%.
For other's information, Barry Goldwater Jr. (Barry Goldwater's son) is a former California Congressman in the House of Representatives.
Q: Why do you think he didn't endorse McCain?
A: Because he knows John McCain is a neo-conservative, not a classical conservative like his father was.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Barry Goldwater is not his father, McCain was Barry Sr.'s close confidant and protege. As we all know not everyone is their father (Bush jr. and sr.) and by the way history will view bush favorably. And the fact that we have had only one primary and iowa, obviously you havent been in politics as long as I have (21 years on the "inside") i have seen everything that happens, and with no momentum, a radical support base, and no party support he WILL LOSE, bet me on it ill bet everything I have.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
rofl - you sound like George Stephanopolus. Yep, I wish I had your "crystal ball" prediction powers. Gee if I had that, I could be a billionaire in one year. Are you a billionaire yet? Oh, you are so politically astute and wise. And you choose John McCain as your candidate. For that, I have to lmao!
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Ron Paul has incredible momentum, an exponentially-increasing grassroots base that is diverse spanning the political spectrum (which is required for a grassroots candidate), and the NH Republican Party stood up for him when he was unfairly excluded from the NH round table forum. We will make every attempt to win.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Barry Goldwater Jr's father was not Barry Goldwater Sr? Of course he was! Where do you get your facts from? The National Enquirer?
Here's the wiki entry on Barry Goldwater Jr:
h ttp://en.wikipedia.o rg/wiki/Barry_Goldwater%2C_Jr.
[btw, don't forget to remove the two spaces from the link]
Yeah, and if John was such a confidant, then why isn't Barry Goldwater's SON supporting him?
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
As far as Bush going down in history favorably, now you've really got me laughing. Bush/Cheney should've been impeached a long time ago for taking us into Iraq until false pretenses and deliberately misleading the American People into yet another undeclared and unprovoked war in Iraq that John promises to keep going for the next 100 years.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Define war, because if war you mean naked agression, which this conflict is not we will not be there for the next 100 years, nor have we been fighting that at all. This war is about radical religious belief and political coersion. He does not want us DYING for 100 years, he is simply saying if our presence is needed in the area we will stay. And sir, i am not prepared to let al queda say they defeated the united states of america, which EVEN ron paul loves.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
And i said he is not his son in the figurative sense, no one is their father exactly.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
Then you need to clearly so state, instead of leaving it up to interpetation.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
I am not a neo-con, so lets not paste labels. And the war is NOT about oil if you did a little research you would understand that we get almost no oil from iraq if any. We were attacked for a myriad of reasons, go read bin laden's justification for the attacks, it is his belief that the entire world must accept allah as their god and mohammed as his prophet, NOT what the qu'ran says but his message anyways. And we are not over there for money we spend it there... lots of it.

oh yeah... one last thing... if I hear one word about the phantom CFR i'm going to simply write anything you say off as stupidity, dont throw your stupid world domination theories at me, those done even work in cartoons.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
My last comment for the evening, if McCain really were some evil neo-con, CFR, militray industrial complex, whatever tell me WHY BOTH of his sons are in the military, one of them (18 years old) is a front line rifleman in the USMC in one of the hottest spots in the country... and his other son training to be a combat officer? Would a man so hellbent on killing americans with his warmonger ways really put his sons into that kind of danger?
fallenprnce 4 years ago
If you support John McCain for President, who subscribes to the Strauss/Kristol-brand of neo-conservative political philosophy, then, if you're philosophically consistent and honest, you must subscribe to the same philosophy. Neo-conservatism is much more than a label, it's the current driving social and political philosophy (that's Machiavelian in nature) and force that shapes our entire foreign and domestic policies.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
The CFR is the premier neo-conservative "think tank" that heavily influences almost all of our major foreign policy making decisions. Major players in the Council on Foreign Relations are such noteworthy characters as Dick Cheney (who was a former chairman), Rupert Murdock of Fox, Bill Kristol (former Bush I "associate", David Rockefeller (of the Rockefeller banking dynasty), and on and on. It's the power club for the ruling elite of this Country.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Of course, the CFR supports all the major tier candidates and ALL are members or former members of the CFR. John McCain has been a contributing member of the CFR for most of his political career. Ron Paul is not associated with, nor a member of the CFR. In fact, he opposes the all too influential nature of the CFR on gov't policy (and always has).
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
As far as Iraq goes, we weren't attacked by Iraq, nor did they pose an imminent threat to our National Security (no WMD's were ever found). We were deliberately misled that Iraq was connected to Al-Qaida (Cheney has repeatedly said it) which is false. Even the 9/11 Commission Report recognizes that fact.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Our enemy is Al-qaida, and we should our efforts, with a Constitutional letter of Marque, to pursue Bin Laden (as Ron Paul proposed to the Congress in 2002) rather than pre-emptively, provocatively, and un-Constitutionally invading a sovereign nation that was no imminent threat to us. There was no declaration of war with this sovereign nation. Therefore, this is an illegal war.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Your candidate, John McCain, along with all of his CFR "associates", supports this totally illegal war. In fact, he gave it his full blessing and voted for it, and has continued to vote for it. My candidate, Ron Paul, is the ONLY Republican candidate that does NOT support continuation of an illegal war, didn't vote to allow it in the first place and argued vehemently against it, has consistently voted against continuing it, and opposes the neo-conservative doctrine behind it.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
As a veteran, I know that you took a solemn oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. If you support this illegal and un-Constitutional war, then you have seriously violated your oath by not steadfastly opposing it and bringing our military forces home. They are fighting an illegal war, and we're doing everything possible to bring them safely home as quickly as possible.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
You should be doing the same, that is, if you believe in the rule of law, the sactity of your oath, and truly support the laws and principles clearly laid out in our Constitution. To do otherwise, is not only hypocritical, its essentially treason. This is one of the reasons I could never support most of the Presidential candidates currently in the race. The exceptions are Mike Gravel, Ron Paul, and Dennis Kucinich -- all who oppose this illegal war and all are anti-empire.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
The Founders did not want entangling alliances, nation-building, and the like. Their advice was sound back then, and still is now. And Ron Paul is the ONLY Republican candidate advocating it. I fully support the Constitution and the rule of law, along with the founding principles and architecture of this nation. Do you? That is the question...
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
The court of public opinion does not determine legality, by your logic a large number of the conflicts (tripoli, gulf war, somalia conflict, greneda, panama) are all illegal. The president has the ability to send troops where he wished, and congress supported him in this venture, so the Legality issue does not fly. And by saying i committed treason by obeying the orders of those apointed above me is simply a farce an infact offensive, you have never served.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
And how do you know that?
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Also by your logic a VAST majority of the members of congress committed your "treason" through support of the conflict. McCain does NOT want to take over the world, or build a global empire or whatever other conspiracy shit you want. Is Obama a member of the CFR, and what determines "Member" I have gone through the mccain schedule for the last 3 years and NOWHERE does he have a meeting with the CFR.
fallenprnce 4 years ago
That's correct.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
At least as far as the VAST majority of the members of Congress committed Treason. The rest is nonsesnse.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Finally, there is no ruling elite of the country, some of the organizations members belong to are distasteful, yes, but McCain was the son of a military family, not generally highly reguarded by most elitists, infact his military history goes all the way back to the revolution with General Young (under washington), and every generation since has served... so if his family are not patriots and dont love the constitution than no one does
fallenprnce 4 years ago
More bullshit. You're a waste of time and energy. When you can actually defend yourself more adequately, come back and reply again.

You've got it all ass-backwards there fallenprnce.
jamjabba3 4 years ago
Have you ever actually read and studied the constitution and the declaration of independence? I can't believe you're a veteran and don't take your oath seriously. Either you're incredibly stupid, or incredibly naive and ignorant.

They avoid the topic when he's around as much as possible because they know what he does in congress: he is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade and Technology. The guy who called lied and made Ron Paul look bad. It was obvious that the guy wasn't really a military member. I mean he couldn't even remember where he was stationed or what he did. He could've just stated his statistics and showed his support for Dr. Ron Paul without lying.
KillerInstinct2006 4 years ago
He might not have heard the question?
goerto 4 years ago
Or perhaps he decided not to answer? It was an improper question - the guy called to talk about Ron Paul and the debate - not to be challenged on his bona fides. It was obvious he was being set up for a shut down and that's exactly what these clowns did!
dlondon1144 4 years ago
exactly dlondon--they didn't like what he said so they wanted to interrogate him.
What did they want him to say--"I killed people?"
EchelonMonitor 4 years ago
No, but he could've simply set he was a militiaman or a firefighter or something.
KillerInstinct2006 4 years ago
You guys can try to excuse him all you want, but he obviously had no answers to the questions being asked, because he lied in the first place and he wasn't someone who could think quick on his feet. It took him like 2 minutes to blurt out Baghdad and the only reason he said Baghdad is because he probably doesn't know any other Iranian cities. He could've just made his point and moved on, but instead he took it upon himself to lie and in doing so he made Ron Paul look bad.
KillerInstinct2006 4 years ago
Killer, I don't know if he lied or not but it was probably his first time on the air - he actually reminded me of a rabbit caught in headlights. Can you tell me honestly that you could be/were absolutely cool the first time you are/were on the air? This guy got rattled and froze. That's all - but the CSPAN guy knew what he was doing - he shut up a Ron Paul supporter.

I think he was considering how much information he should give out--was he still active duty? His commanders might not like him saying "it was an unjust, unconstitutional war."

He didn't sound to me like he was lying about his service, but as dlondon said, whatever.
EchelonMonitor 4 years ago
Yeah, I think he lied to make his point stronger and I don't think he really needed to do that.

Even C-SPAN joins in on the Ron Paul lies and distortion. The whole damn media and corporate world hates this miracle of a man because of he speaks the Truth. The moderator on CSPAN has this habit of interrupting the callers with questions when he doesn't like the caller. There is another younger lady that does the same thing.
