@mako7828 Higher revs can mean higher horsepower when comparing two bikes of similar torque outputs. however, with the 300cc deficit the r6 has, it needs a lot more revs than it currently has to match the ZX9r. ZX9R puts down about 130-35hp to the rear wheel not including ram air, while a new R6 puts down 110-15. most of that power being crowded at the top of the rev range.

the R6 is much lighter yes, and a better track weapon, but in a straight line, the zx9r power will still beat it.

around a racetrack, its anybodies game. a lighter bike will often handle and corner better, so you might even have a 50hp supermoto kicking a 150hp sportbike around a tight enough course
