Congrats to WRW! So glad that he beat McCune. I don't know how he managed to make it, but it really irritates me that he displaced a good bowler in the final. WRW is such an incredible bowler. He is going to bowl in both the regular circuit and the Senior's tour this year.  I'll bet that the seniors are real happy about that. :-)

i know mccune personally... bowl with him a lot. outside of bowling hes a very calm and fun guy to get along with. but when he starts bowling he gets soooo intense... he is a very good and terrific bowler. very consistant

There is a reason people were rooting for WRWj to become the all time title winner and this is it. Like Earl Anthony he gives bowling a good name. Even with Pete Weber's flair he is still gracious for the fans and their support. I'm glad guys like McCune are not making very many shows. (Remember Sean Rash, its gonna catch up to you)

Eugene Mccune leaved the 5-7 split because he don't hook the ball and don't get revolutions.

He throws straight and with a lot of power.

Hmmm. That's some intelligent analysis. Walter Ray's ball was facing up to the pocket; McCune's wasn't. Revs do not matter unless you take into account the speed with which a ball is traveling. Walter Ray, if anything, got incredibly unlucky that day to leave as many single pins as he did. However, because he can make his spares, persevere, and keep the ball in the pocket, he came away with a victory. It makes perfect sense.

Upon listening again, I think you could be right or I could be right, or it could be anything in between.  It's almost inaudible and hard to understand anyway. However, from what can tell--based upon the two G D's and the F-bomb, not to mention selling beer to raise money for his son's baseball team--Eugene his some poor morals and is talentless compared to other PBA veterans of 20+ years.

I completely agree. It amazes me how often I see people who don't understand why Walter wins so much. It's not hard to comprehend: Walter Ray hits the pocket,leaves makeable spares, almost always converts them, and strings strikes occasionally when he has dialed in very well. It's a game of smarts, and Walter understand it better then most.
