This guys technique is awful! His fingers are flying all over the place. Note how his pinky shoots up in the air instead of staying close to the strings. Beginners would do best to avoid this video.

yo, Eric what do you do with your thumb/ how do position your hand to ge the best finger reach?

Just keep the thumb on the back of the neck (right in the middle) to help with support.

it means you need to slow down until you can get it perfectly without mistakes
