yes they hunt alone if they are forced to but they only take small animals. Not like the leopard they often get animals much bigger than themselfs ocr tigers when they jump in to the water to kill crocodiles. But of course if the crocodile is too big then the croc wins...but lions run like pussys even for a small croc

2) the male lion was very intelligent. he attacks the large animal from the rear to avoid the frantic head swinging and possible damage by the horns. once the animal is down, then the lion goes for the neck. that's high intelligence. could you do that?

That's not true. Except for the Siberian tiger, lions and tigers are comparable in weight. The difference is that tigers are solitary so they don't have to share food. Put them in a zoo and feed them the same amount of food and they will weigh the same.
