  • She does sound like Jonathan Winters. Emma Frettersby.

  • All the streets are paved with gold-uh.

And no one ever grows old-uh.

  • (C) VIDEOCRAFTS INCORPORPORPORATED MCMLXI

(Bonus MCMLXI points if you sing this while grocery shopping.)

  • who did the voice of the witch.

  • @wotmeworry333123456 Larry D. Mann. He also voiced Rusty Tin Man here, as well as Yukon Cornelius (Rudolph) and Crazylegs Crane (All-New Pink Panther Show)

  • Socrates littered. heehee. =)

  • Is the Wicked Witch played by Jonathan Winters imitating a woman? Sounds like one of his schticks....

  • @HaggisMcCrablice Larry Mann played the witch

  • If I could laugh like the witch, I would cut my right arm off! She deserves an Emmy!

  • "RUSTAAAY!" HAR!

  • I love these old cartoon with the raw animation.......I can't stand all those digitalized, computer generated cartoons that exist today...

  • @funkydrummer14 Realisms for cameras.

  • @funkydrummer14 You got that right! Nothing like the orginal animations!

  • That Wicked Witch better get her butt kicked, before I kick it for her.

This cartoon is getting so great!

  • With the benefit of having a beatnik there, snapping to Charlie Parker & sipping espresso, and also explaining this show's 'hipness' to me, my experience as a kid would have been richer.

However, observing it at 6 AM blasted through a glowing CRT in the suburbs, it meant less. I didn't catch the relevance of the sly cubist approach and nods to Braque et al. -- my main impression was 'how long before Bugs Bunny - Road Runner is on?'

  • I'm sure that Lalapalooza festival must had gotten that name from that episode.

  • Wow, the animation is so ridiculously cheesey!!

I love it though because it's so cute! ^_^

But seriously, I thought tv shows in the 60's had a lot, lot better animation than this!

e.g Jonny Quest, Ghostbusters (not the movie of course. The orignial cartoon)

  • Well, "Scooby-Doo Where Are You?"'s animation seemed similar in cheesiness to this show (especially how they'd often reuse the same animation cycles over and over, like Socrates's walk, or the Witch laughing)

  • cute fun and hiliarous

  • The Wicked Witch sounds like a drag queen.

  • I wonder if the Wicked Witch of the West and Rasputin from "Anastasia" are distant cousins? They both caused train wrecks that our heroes luckily survived!

  • this one's a real Lalapalooza "that little brat Dorothy thinks she's going back to Kansas does she"

  • Thanks for posting these oldies.

  • This Dorothy doesn't sound anything like Judy Garland. Hey guys. I watched these when I was a kid and NEVER forgot the opening lyrics. Gosh, it's good to find them on youtube 'cuz I don't know where else they might be.

Oh the world of Oz is a very funny place...

  • Look on Emule. These should all be available by 6am Saturday.

  • you gotta love the wicked witch of the wests laugh, and the strawman looks more like a wet sandbag than a strawman i remember this cartoon well

  • In my youngest days, my family and I lived three doors down from an eccentric, middle-aged lady who lived in a small house. She must have had a hundred cats!

I used to picture her laughing. The laugh was that of the Wicked Witch from this cartoon series.

My mom said I shouldn't have thought of the old lady like that.

    An amusing, imaginative memory.

  • WHo cares if the cartoon drawing is not great. Have you seen SouthPark?
