@nachof248 What do you mean "bumper needs to be in the right place". This is the right place. Every car except 4x4's have a low hood like this. This is a stupid test obviously developed by a bunch of people who are too dumb to realise that the bumper into which cars crash is clearly too high, and no car except SUV's will hit the obsticle with the bumper, but with the top of the hood. And besides, when was the last time you've seen a car with that 1960's style high bumper.

der w203 hat beim normalen ncap-crashtest (2000) 5 sterne geholt...das sagt mehr als genug über die sicherheit dieses geilen autos aus...

I had a 2001 CLK. I swear the bumpers were painted Reynolds Wrap. I bumped a wood fence with the right rear corner going at a snail's pace. Not only the bumper and reinforcing bar, but the rear quarter panel and tailight were damaged. Over $3,000 worth of damage. May be great in a high-sped crash, but they suck with parking lot speeds.

no they delibratly make new cars to absorbe more energy so that less goes to the passengers. if u look at some old crash tests, you will see that they are hard and stiff, and when they crash, the passengers inside get most of the impact. but new cars are built to absrb a lot of the energy so passengers get less.. so new cars are made to get more damage, but not too much damage to hurt the passengers.... does that make sens lol
