Hi guys ! I have a 32 inch 1080p tv and a ps3 slim. Im using hdmi and it plays the games at 1080p but it still looks Low res. Im sitting right in front of my tv. Am i sitting to close to the tv or Can i do anything? Please help me!

@sameed491 Get an HDMI cable. If you want to get the best picture quality get a good brand of HDMI cable. Monster,and Phillips hdmi cables produce very good results. I would stay away from the dirt cheap HDMI cables.They make DVD,Blu-Ray and high def video games look like crap.

i got a vizio 1080p and some crappy 720p tv, when i play games that are only 1080p, like gran turimso 5 it looks very good on my 1080p tv, but if i play a game that is 720p, it looks like total crap on my 1080p tv, but looks very good on my 720p tv. Anyone know whats the deal?

@nikejordan214 You will need an HDMI cable to get the best picture and sound quality out of your PS3 for games and movies. Do not let these cheap cables draw you in. They are cheap for a reason. The thirty or forty dollar cables will produce awesome results.Trust me cause i am using one and am continually blown away with the quality with each game I play.

@PearlJammer07 Hi there, well, i feel . even the cheap ones give u the same visual results. As for the PS3 which has HDMI v1.3 -> meaning full HD , we need to get the same cable of the same type. Then u can be rest assured u get all the eye candy from all of ur games. Lemme know if I am wrong.

I have a question that I looked up on google and cannot find. My ps3 usually uses the AVI(The yellow, white, and red cables) since I didn't have a hdmi. I took it to a friends house and he used the HDMI instead of the AVI. Now the PS3 won't turn on with the AVI, and i've been told I need to calibrate it. How do I do that?

Depends on what kind of TV you are using. In order to change between high def back to a standard def hold down the power button. You should hear two beeps. The system will reset the signal to SD. If you have any more trouble. Feel free to ask questions.

You do have a 1080p capable cable right? I have a pretty cheap HDMI cable hooked up to my PS3. Don't go spending big amounts of money. I hear that $5-20 cables do the trick. Cables that are 70-150 basically do the same thing. With a cheaper cable you do not have THX certified sound going through the cable. I cannot think of any PS3 games that support that sound format.

The screen just goes on and off. As in when the screen goes off it says "No signal?" When the the screen is basically blank? It could be you're HDMI cord causing the problem. Make sure you have your resolution settings on the PS3 set up for 1080p. Might be a good idea to have 720p checked in the settings box on the PS3 menu too.

It should be in one of your menu settings on your TV. Maybe screen or picture resolution menus. What brand TV do you own? I have a Toshiba and Sony in my house. I am familiar with those two brands, and Samsung.

I am sure about this.Some PS3 games are a little rough on the edges of things in games. That is because the PS3's anti aliasing capabilities are not the best.

i have 40inch sony bravia full hdtv 1080p along with a ps3 and i tried all resolution's 720p,1080i and 1080p in my opinion 1080i looks just right so far FOR gaming not blueray movies just gaming 1080p is the best for blue ray movies. as far as for gaming 1080p shows way to much on ps3 games making jagged lines much more visible.and or blurry lines.
