Cool EVP and very odd sounding, can't really tell what it's saying, you should run the raw audio through some filters and see if one of them can make it more understandable, like hiss reduction etc.

it sounds like anna, hannah, or amanda. you should ask the spirit to knock once for anna, knock twice for hannah, knock 3 times for amanda or knock four times if its something else. maybe that would help

Has anyone tried slowing the audio down? I don't know how its done but I'm sure someone watching this does. My opinion: The first bit sounds like a small sentence and the last bit sounds like one word like "Adam." But its not a male voice. Maybe "Anna?"

at first, it sounded like scratching, then it sounded like two words, and i read the comments, listened again, and I can definently tell there is a pause, then a two- syllable word. It does sound like Hanna/Hannah or Anna. More like Hanna/Hannah. The first word or words sound like three syllables, and it does sound like My name is. sooooo that's what i think...

Possibly Anna Olson. I agree with everyone else on Anna or Hannah, but the surname happens very quickly. Just before the static, it sounds like she is making an attempt to answer. It sounds a bit like Olson, or even "Has you."

It sounds as though it it something scraping over the microphone. After testing the scratch of a pen, quill, pencil, paper rubbing on paper, chalk on a chalk board, and rubbing my hand, nail, and clothing over the microphone on my recorder, it appears as though the two closest replications I could come up with is the finger and clothing over the microphone.

So was mine when I tried it. I know that many investigators mistakenly use the voice activation instead of using a continuous record. Many sounds never get recorded because of this and many experience do not get validated because it is lost. But I used my university recorder which is only voice activated and it still picks up sounds that are not voice. But I still have to say that my recordings find that the sounds I heard from your recording are most similar to my statements as before.
