  • haha diesel...

  • I always use a clean chamois and i use microfibre towel for glass. Leaves no streaks. Cause I hate when ive just cleaned my car and theres water marks on the windscreen

  • In mobile detailing and or out in the sun "Deionized Water" water is good so no spotting occur's and in this video is good cause it letting viewer's know there is a specific way to wash and dry a car and when i was a novice i would always wash or detail in the shade and alot of good tips were in this video.

  • what would be an example of a mild soap product?

  • he should have been a little more specific like the 2 buckets or what type of shampoo

  • Informative video . Now I know how to wash and rinse a car the proper way. All along I was doing it the wrong way. Thanks man!

  • man i just wish that everyone takes care of his car the way you do, trust me that the world would be a better place ^_^

  • If you drop your shammy, sponge, towel on the ground grab a new one! Pieces of gravel and sand can stick to whatever you're using and scratch your paint.

  • @CommodoreDixon detailing is the process of cleaning the car, like vacuuming the carpet, washing it out, buffing out scratches and such. all of these videos are parts of the detailing process

  • When can i was my car after painting it? Is there a special way to wash it and do i need some kind of really soft sponges? If you can answer my question i would really appreciate it. Thanks

  • @Specialized1993 yea but why would you want to do it. After you get your car painted they wet sand and buff the car then wash it. But yes you can wash your car after its been painted.

  • ok finally some detailing vids that are actually helpful lol thanx diesel

  • @ethan1archy

He can't be COMPLETELY illiterate as he can write something... Just mostly illiterate.

  • Yo' were you using "Tap Water"?

  • Really good vid bro I make details and I know everything and seems you do to thanks alot

  • my hobi is to clean a car "proffessional",.. started 2 years ago.. and need to say , ur doing things wrong :S u know the since, but not the moves... every car has a milion scratch's coz of the way 90% peoples are washing cars.

  • @AxosHacks Maybe switch your hobby to a few English lessons so you can comment without the reader thinking you are illiterate.

  • What kind of nozzle is that? It seems to be stronger than a normal hose nozzle!

  • SHAM WOW!

  • Dude I love The SS

  • Why not post your video on valeters.com we would love to have you onboard

  • What is your choice brand of soap? I am a part-time detailer and use all Meguiars products.

  • is it a paying job?

  • @MarkLayfield its his business.. he aint doing it for free lol..

  • Its better to wash a car in the shade and dry it rite away, I bought my truck used and the ppl before me washed it in the sun and left it to dry without waxing either, and because they did that water spots burned into my clear coat, i just had to go have it buffed out

  • HOW DO U CLEAN THE CHAMIS? OR DO U?

  • this is some pretty good stuff. thanks for the tips you post!

  • Nice Car

  • That car is nicely polished and wax I can see.

  • Diesel, I really like your vids! Have you done one on how to properly wash car windows and glass? When I clean it you can still see where I've cleaned. I use vinegar and newspaper btw

  • @Cruel1987 windex! and i know lots of people say dont wax windows... but ive always done it... if you use a good paste wax you can even wax pitting marks out of your windows. works great!

  • drying the exterior...u know the windows and the rest of the body

  • whats better a shammy or a microfiber towel?

  • @krush247 what you are using it for?

  • @krush247 shammy for drying... but you can use a microfiber... they may leave lint depending on grade... microfiber for buffing...

  • @DaBluedude100 chamois...

  • @MKRM27 Agreed. Shammy is a brand name up here in canada.

  • can someone outline the basic steps to detailing a car, including swirl mark removing? wash, clay bar, compound, polish and wax?

i just get so confused with different brand offering things with different names... like auto body cleanser, glaze etc... not sure where things like that fit in... after polish or before... or what they do

  • good vids thanks :)

  • I dont use a chamois leather, i use a drying towel.

    Peace.

  • This is a real good video. Though all your detailing vids are great. But since I live in Miami and have no garage I just about always have to wash my car in the sun or I'd have to wait until the next day to polish and wax. Thanks for the info.

  • sponges are horrible to use to wash a car

  • @eric2074 Yeah they just push the dirt and grit around the paint and make swirl marks. I use a lambs wool wash mitt its unbeatable as it lifts the dirt

  • thankyou. this is usefull because i just got my 1stcar. a 1984 chevy camaro belinetta and now i know how to take are of it.

  • You have some very good info, thanks for sharing!!!! What are your thoughts on the products by IMAGE10?

  • i need to clean my car

  • best comment evaaaaaa

  • great video I too do detailing and all your steps are correct.

  • Do you wash your windows first or wax the car first? After finishing the wax, and at night drive, I notice all my windows has streaks. Came back home started all over.

  • i know, i have problem with windows too, never sure when to clean/dry them and what order because they always end up streaky!

  • @snowball1988 wash them last and use windex.

  • If you final rinse the car with an open ended hose,as opposed to a spray, you will find that on a well waxed finish there will be very little water to remove, thus making drying much quicker and easier, impotant in the hot sun!

  • nice!

  • Shut up you sad bastards.

This is a really good video, I enjoyed watching it.
