  • that bitch messilina >:( ....Feck you!!...im so glad claudius cuts her head off, only im pretty sure that was the hardest thing he ever had to do...claudius D: you deserved so much better

  • hey that's what's said about mr.grinch-i wouldn't touch you with10 ft.pole.well at least mr.grinch changed his ways unlike this hoe bag.

  • The man that refused sex with that strumpet has pure dignity,

  • Oh my goodness Messalina you BIATCH. I was just beginning to wish you were someone nicer... Sigh.

  • Livilla pales in comparison to Messalina, even the scheming Livia looks good next to her.

  • Oh, Claudius, you fool. You can already see Messalina moving chess pieces into position for a greater agenda.

  • @ForgotToBeHuman I think thats why He becomes so cynical in the last episode

  • i think i prefer the roman system of gov't. they're all just a bunch of vile crooks who do everything they can to enrich and indulge themselves while in power until someone poisons or assassinates them and proceeds to do the same. we have exactly the same situation now only without the best part- the poisoning and/or assassination.

  • Off with her head!

  • Combine ego with earthly power and corruption is the consequence. Rome is repeated in the mass egomania of today.

  • wow messalina is a whore among whores

    i love this show

  • Not in sinc!!

  • So we all agree.

Y or I, we all agree.

  • I really hate that lying skank bitch Messalina.

  • i agree

i hate her as much as caligula

  • ummm.....noooo.....in no way was Claudius a worse tyrant than Tiberius or Caligula - in fact along with Augustus, Claudius was probubly the most mild and competant of the Julio-claudians.

  • thats not right Claudius was one of the best emperors. the only problem was he was influenced by the women in his life.

  • @kalebullen Absolute rubish. He was atyrant who killed many senators. He gave the first donative to the praetorian guard to prevent the return of the republic. He was weak and allowed his wives to completely control him. The best emperor was Pertinax and he lived just 3 months.

  • @antoninus138 he was by all accounts an effective ruler, and was certainly light years ahead caligula and tiberius. He also did things such as overturning exiles, burning criminal records, and pardoning the people involved in the caligula murder (except for the ringleader and the guy who murdered the wife and child).

  • The women in this epic are evil! Were historians in those days misogynous?

  • Well yes most of them probabally were ,but remember the men presented in this are hardly any better. When their not being manipulated by their female counterparts their doing evil of their own.

  • Yes, most of the historians were "probably" men and took a dim view of women. Women in history had to be more cunning, to work through men and make men think a woman's will is their idea. So women were probably deemed more calculating, a negative quality

  • what's your point, women are never bad ? People never change more like, Lucretia Borgia for instance. Men and Women are equal, for good and bad, just enjoy the show or turn it off. You have that choice.

  • That was not my point at all.

  • o.k., no offence, my dictionary, say's Misogynous means hatred of women, that's all, and in I Clavdivs, the men are equally evil and stupid, everyone complained about how Jew's are portrayed too, yet it was directed by a Jew, and Herod seemed the only sensible one.

  • @locheelad2 Just because the director is a Jew and Herod is a good character does not mean it's not offensive to Jews in some way. The stereotype about Jews loving money is all through the series. I wouldn't necessarily boycott it for that, but there are some tired tropes at work here.

  • @lilanma If this was about Nazi Germany would you expect to hear no anti Semitism.

    This is how it was.

  • @jemorrismmorris Sure it was, but that doesn't mean you have to highlight it all through the series itself. In any case, I'm not saying that's not how it was then; I am saying it's stupid to assume that any particular series having a Jewish director and one good Jewish character makes it totally free from anti-Semitism. The concepts don't necessarily mix.

  • @lilanma Are you one of these race obsessed people who likes to get offended on behalf of other people?

  • @jemorrismmorris I like to point out conceptions that are understandable but not necessarily based in truth.

  • What a tart.
