when i first listened to the album version, i was like: omg, who can sing like this? very few people! magical! added a new dimension to the original version (i mean the one popularised by S. and G.) Cheers!
The studio version of this was orignally released on the "Empire" single. And on that version, Geoff takes the entire second verse up an octave and fucking OWNS it.
dont htink so - looks like there are only two unplugged videos on that :( Anyone know where we can get the full video show? Or audio for that matter lol?
Yeah, it's from Unplugged. I'm sure most of it's here on YT. Set list was "I Will Remember," "Killing Words," "Della Brown," "Silent Licidity," "Scarborough Fair," "The Lady Wore Black," "Anybody Listening?," and Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World"
get a copy of Best of Queensryche, sighn of the times and listen to scarburough fair on there, no words can describe how well geoff sings it on that, this is unplugged, when you hear it on the best of, it is the most amazing thing to hear
I went to the taping of this back in 92. They handed out copies of the set list ahead of time. During the breack before they did this song, I asked Geoff if someone was going to do "Canticle" in the background. He offered to let me do it if I knew it (which I didn't). I assume he was joking, but it was a very cool moment for me.

Hell yeah I agree. I bought a cd with that song on it 11 years ago just to hear their version. Quite a bit of money, but well worth it.
