i think its a good idea, both tunes could go well together i reckon, but its not mixed in phase properly, which is hard with this kinda stuff.. so it all sounds a bit mashed up, one tune droppin then the other 8 beats later... if u get me. dont want to sound like a know-all, lol, just my thoughts on the mix :)

I hear the vocal from Libra pres. Taylor - Anomaly (Calling Your Name). It takes me back down memory lane! =D As for the mix, I don't think they go well together. Teardrops sounds cheerful, where Near Dark sounds more.. Well, dark. =) The melodies combined create a kind of dissonance.

I think this would have been better if you started with the Teardrop beat, and filterd in and out the Burial vocals. Then brought in the Teardrop guitar. Just sounds clutterd at the moment.

Burial uses the most annoying vocal samples in the most garish ways.. it's really amazing how bad it is sometimes.

Although I do have an obscure remix he did that is extremely good..so every once and awhile he does something good (it doesn't have vocals in it, maybe that's why).

it's really not as bad as people are saying. its a mixdown it's nt gonna be clean and perfect. it doesnt sound bad but it aint good, theres no real reaqson to listen to them both together other than to see how much influence massiv eattack really had on burial. one or the other imo.
