  • Well done! Proud we can lend Mike in 2012 again for crossing The Crossing.

  • Back in "the day" we would wear out cassette tapes playing songs from The Alarm!!! Awesome then...still is!

  • I was at the time as good as Bono. The luck and creativity was on U2 side. Too bad !

  • never die..thats true 80s music has to be the best for the last 100 years...no other decade gets a look in...fact

  • hard to touch the greatness of these people....some songs never lose relevance..no matter how old they are....I love this band...AND THE HAIR...lol

  • YAEE YOOO!! pretty sure this is the show I saw them at. One of my favorite memories of all time. Was about 16 at the time saw a comercial on mtv for a free concert at ucla. Wasn't too familiar with the band but a free show? Me and 2 close friends hauled ass down their in the middle of the night and slept on the lawn in order to get good positions. ONE OF THE BEST live shows I'd ever seen I was an instant fan

  • ma wee mate ,swears by them..... the 80,s still a blur..great stuff.....

  • Quality.....

  • These guys were awesome, full of heart, just good songs with thoughtful lyrics, and played with everything they have.

  • how could anyone give this a posotive comment?

  • @kirkbyla holy shit man that's some claim to fame!! Lol nice one

  • 1985 Hershey, PA opened for Pat Benatar, pretty good.

1986 Dallas, TX at the Bronco Bowl, Fantastic. Peters was completely engaged with the crowd and almost pulled into them. Charisma and connection.

  • saw them @ cardiff arms park supporting U2 josh tree- excellent!!

  • @jackoneout me too, what a brilliant day that was! 1987! where do the years go!

  • I cant believe I have spent so long on this planet without seeing this on youtube...superb!

  • OÏ de PARIS

  • For years, Welsh people used to get beaten up whenever they came to England. They got their revenge though. They gave us the Alarm.

  • ...is this the concert they did at UCLA that was broadcast on network TV in the states and simulcast on rock radio FM stations? I remember watching that show and listening to it on a Detroit FM station in Stereo with it cranked!!!! Good times!

  • the guns forever

  • Doing the support slot for these on Saturday, cann'y wait! 8)

  • This song reminds me of when I was 14 and I first heard it, what a great song

  • DAVE SHARP PLAYS LIVE. @ THE TARTAN BAR ,DALRY ,AYRSHIRE,SCOTLAND.

    FRIDAY 18TH JUNE 2010.

  • I love this so much! they were amazing last year :D

  • This one was a great hit here in Spain too... Well, it really was a hit for me and my friends, and that´s enough for me. I still love the song, and I´ll love it forever. It riminds me of my first love, mainly because she didn´t like it. I guess thát´s why I left her... Or she left me, I can´t remember that properly

  • I often wonder what would have become of The Alarm if they had played Live Aid instead of U2???

Saw them on Friday at the Brook in Southampton, stunning gig, great to see Mike enjoying the gig as much as the fans! If not more!!!!! Legend

  • saw these support the jam at deeside leisure center in 1980 top that one

  • I remember watching this live on MTV. I saw them a few months earlier and they were incredible live!

  • This band was in Finland about -84, we were together perhaps in Turku (also at hotel, heh) - that Gaz from MTV was also there HAAHHHHAAAAA...

  • @Bugelino he was an alarm roadie for a long time

  • My first concert at the hummingbird in Brum.. what a blast !!!!!!!!!

  • These guys were really good in the 1980s

  • Many years ago I saw this band as a support act ( I think it was the Clash they were supporting).

The Singer shouted out "Good Evening, We are the Alarm!"

And some wag shouted out " Well go off then!".

    Even the singer laughed!.

  • @orriblebob

    HAHAHAHA!!! That's priceless :)

  • lol The Alarm were well cool then and are now IMHO...but i'm a sad old git !!

  • ...Will never die

  • The problem is that we havn´t gote the time to listen to a band more tha n 6 weeks.20 or 30 years ago when music meant something we had the the time and evencould overlook a bad album.I´m glad I listened to music when iot meant sometihing

  • Totally agree with you, I grew up listening to the great bands of the 80's and the Alarm were one of my favourites. You would buy the album and literally study the sleeve notes album cover etc while listening to every track. Nowadays we dont "seem" to have time. Agree with you that we were lucky to be able to listen and appreciate great music from great bands.

  • Hey lyndonjones

    I think i have a soulmate

  • You sure do Mr Sambillabong!!

Life is too hectic and too throwaway these days I hark back to my teenage years when I discovered music in it's many forms and "discovered" new songs from my Dads record collection - these days I will have the music playing in the background BUT I ain't really listening - Life is flying by and if you don't stop once in a while you might miss it!!

Now where did I hear that before???

  • problem with todays music...we have no kick ass british bands anymore!

we need to call england to SEND MOAR MUSIC!!!

  • Saw the Alarm live so many times. Everytime a great show.

  • When Dave and his dad came over and asked me to play bass for the group I said I was busy..... damn.

  • i had forgotten how good this song really is or perhaps i was to young to understand the lyrics then.

but here we are 25 years later and i finally understand why i liked it so much.

    68 guns thank you

  • Nürburgring 1985 - and I have been there !!!!!

  • Me too ;-)

  • I listen to this and it takes me back to 1985 when I first got in to the Alarm. This song is superb in every way, full of defiance and energy. Mike Peters is a great performer whether in a stadium or a small acoustic gig. It must have been great to have been at this concert .

  • Awesome vid and a great live band. Saw them several times in the early- to mid-eighties, always a great show and always played with their fans uppermost in their minds...I particularly remember Xmas Eve at the Hammersmith Palais in '82 or '83 when they were on for almost 2 1/2 hours and ended with Merry Xmas Everybody!
