  • i sang this song on skipper and company when i was a kid

  • Hi Wandalee

I always wanted to pay the accordian, i bought one from Tom Rose a few years ago, my first song i learned to play was The Tiny Red Light, i love that song, i never meant your dad but i always loved his music and i remember when he wrote the song after you. I am from Seal Cove Fortune Bay and now live in Halifax. He was a great man and his music will live forever.

    Thank you.

  • LOVES THIS SONG!!!! <3 NFLD <3 Going home in a few days...can't wait :)

  • This song makes me proud to say I'm a true blood newfoundlander. Wandalee, it is because of men like your father that Newfoundland can be appreciated nation wide, and I respect that. This is an amazing song, and the lyrics are absolutely touching.

  • @Wandalee61 Because of men like your father, this song makes me feel like a Newfie, though I've only been to little Salvage, Newfoundland, only four times... The good times, good food, Blue Star beer, and, most of all, the beautiful people of Salvage, Newfoundland who became my lifelong family and friends..

  • @Wandalee61 ,you should be proud of your dad,he is a great singer!!!!

  • Ok....first of all this if not Harry Hibbs...although he is a magnificent musician, this song is performed by The Dorymen, with the lead vocals of Johnny Drake of Belleoram, Nl who will ever be a legend in FortuneBay

  • Great song and singer. How good the real old songs still sound and the stories they tell.

  • I agree wholeheartedly. This is a lovely song, and I am after playing it a few times, as I haven't heard it before.

  • This is the dorymen singing this great band

  • This is Harry Hibbs singing the song, i play the accordion to this exact song with harry hibbs singing in the background

    ...

  • No this is not Harry. But it is quite good

  • No it's the Dorymen

  • Mike

Are you performing this? It is not the voice of Harry Hibbs but what a wonderful voice and you do such a wonderful job with this song. Probably the best rendition I have ever heard.

If this is you singing, get your picture on here and be proud!

You are good! Excellent! Do I sense a lack of confidence? Get over it!

I hope we will hear much more from you.

    Good luck!
