Hey bucky thank you for your awesome tuts!!! But there's one thing I don't understand: why is that when i click on the submit button, if the checkbox is checked, right after the alert box is gone, the checkbox gets unchecked?
@PrincepsDinus When you submit your form it gets refreshed/reloaded, and the Checkbox isn't checked at the beginning so it will always be empty unless you change it of course.
thanks bucky, watched all 40 over the past 2 days, and i'm making my own website from the skills i'm learning from you site. Also you're better than my teachers at explaind this :L
@polisiois OMG Just google the e-book "SAMS Teach Yourself JavaScript In 24 Hours" its created in 2000 here's the link: [Link]bit[DOT]ly/wPHVdm[Link] once your there skip the tutorial to "Part III Document Object Model (DOM)" if you manage to watched all Bucky's tutorial.
Thumbs up if I'm legit so people like you can continue learning more about JavaScript.
Don't abandon us!!! These are awesome. please make more! I watched all 40 in 3 days. I bought a $50 HTML 5 book, I watched all the lynda.com tutorials and they all suck compared to your videos dude!!!!! make more!
are there any more java script tutorials after this. If yes please let me know. I Love all your tutorials specially java scripts.So,if there is 41 tutorial please let me know about it. Any way thanks a lot. You are the best teacher. We really appreciate your hard work.

if you have a form and you want for example for the user to confirm an answer you can use the confirm() methord
function doSomething(){ var getResult = confirm("are you sure you have the correct answer"); if (getResult== true){ alert("you selected yes"); }else{ alert("try again then"); }
}
all you need to do is react to the users selection.
@Whelouski well now that you watched all of his tutorials, go to the local library and pick up a book or go to half(.)com and buy a book for like 5 bucks. i'd recommend a sams teach yourself book. either get the 24 hour one or the 21 day one depending on how much javascript your willing to learn
Bucky, you've done a lot of different language tutorials, and I think now you should start doing things that can be done in many languages. I'm thinking things like algorithm building, or structuring and styling code.
@tehscripttutor That's more suited to something server-side such as PHP. If you put it in the JavaScript, then the user would just be able to edit the Javascript (or not execute it at all) and always have a correct password.
How would you make a password validator, as in, if the password is right, it takes you onto next page, if its wrong however it will just print out "WRONG PASSWORD". how bucky?
@tehscripttutor you just 1.create a one passwordbox with one name is called paswrdBucky 2....then create function like a validator() 3...in the function create var pass = document.getElementsByName("paswrdBucky")[0].value; 4...then create if(pass == "YOUR PASSWORD") alert("thats right!! the password is " + pass) else alert("wrong pasword") 5.create button submit onClick="validator()"
Increibles los tutoriales... Pero algo sobre Serial Port ????

javascript is used to make a static html document more dynamic and parse data quickly on the client side.
javascript is used to make things like slideshows, capture user responces in forms and validate them quickly and conviently.

Thanks for the tutorials, even if this is the last one for Javascript, they were useful.
