  • the version that says "emotional rescue alt video (thermo)" by thejamesmario is the same as this one, but sourced from "static in the attic", in stereo. this video is mono and has 240p. his is better in quality, shame for the less views

  • Beavis and Butthead brought me here. I wonder how Family Guy is gonna parody this video

  • This song is very cool...I remember a friend told me it remeinded him of me...still don't know what he meant,...???

  • Good old song but the video gives me a headache.

  • Really great song but its sucks that TV Land is using the song to over promote their crappy new shows.

  • Ahhhh, Bill Wymans Bass, nice

  • my favorite song from my favorite band

  • HOLY SHIT!!! The Predator wants to kill the Rolling Stones!!! NOOOOOO!!!

  • Hmm...I wonder if it'd be a good idea for someone with epilepsy to watch this video? I think they'd be okay.

  • ''aaaah wuuz' dreeeemin' laast' naaaat''..funny shit

  • @heru1966 HE'S ALWAYS SUPERB IN EVERY STONES SONG

  • Just read Keef's autobiography. Love these guys since 1964. Keith is welcome to stay at my ranch anytime he's in Austin. Seriously. The Stones are the all-time greatest.

"Last night I was dreaming.." Oh hell yes!

  • Bee Gees falsett much?

  • I happen to love their "disco" tunes. Miss You and this one are fantastic!

  • This video is "hot" and "Mick Jagger" goes "BeeGees" .-)

  • you will be mine you will be mine all mine

you will be mine you will be mine all mine

  • the best stones song

  • LOVE IT!!! My favorite Stones Song :)

  • yeah, that's how they survive the Disco Years, which really took a toll on Rock n' Roll.

  • HEY !!! WATCH "JELLY PLANE" on YOUTUBE !!!

  • who the fuck said the stones were crap?I'll kick their ass.x

  • Does the video really strobe like that? Because I dont remember it doing that. This is one of the best videos of all time but the strobe effect makes it difficult to watch.

  • it's your lucky day, i got the stereo mix of this version.

  • @WAYNE1980AA meaning the alt stereo take, complete with bonus lines, extra music and different ending.

  • no one comes close ... never have & never will

  • Charlies super? What about Bill's funky ass Bass??

  • @1sttvbn Actually Ronnie plays the bass on this one ;) But anyway what a great funky bassline!

  • OMG!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this video version of "Emotional Rescue".......

  • One of the sexiest songs of all time

  • The first time I saw this I thought my TV set was broken.

  • the stones is and can always be the funnest and the coolest band on earth . the blues lives on

  • LOVE the Stones, but 'emotional rescue' is the worst thing they ever did. It doesn't even warrant capital letters.

  • love x infinity

  • wow

  • Stones can invent and reinvent themselves all the time. The Greatest Rock n Roll Band Period!!

  • The Predator is shooting this video I just know it.

  • this song was hot

  • @oldschoolmama1959 Still is.

  • cooool....

  • kool tune!

  • Thumbs up if this is an awesome song.

  • Unfortunately this song no longer works for me, because:

    1. Mick is literally crying in some of the verses (e.g. "Yeah, the other night/Crying/I was crying ... Yeah, like a child ..." etc.)

    2. Until before the end of the song, he gets his Barry Gibb on.

  • Billboard's #53 song of '80. The Stones hit #3 pop in the US. How'd they do in the UK? God bless!

  • They Rock!!!!!!

  • I love this era with bands like kiss the stones and everybody else doing the disco thing. keep it interesting and you keep em interested.

  • "I will be you knight in shining armor, coming to your emotional rescue... riding across the desert, on a fine Arab Charger" Oh please come to my emotional rescue Micky baby!

  • This Wyman's song. Many, he's all over the place. In, on, under, around and about the beat, beat, beat, beat. That's one prolific, versatile band. They can take rock, disco, rap, punk, blues, gospel, ballads, whatever, and write great song after song after song after song. The only band that can rival them in this regards is the Beatles, for they did the same thing with just as much depth and breadth. Amazing.

  • @probrojeffro so true so true ....lol best rock, pop, disco, rap, punk, blues, gospel, band ever.

  • @probrojeffro

Fooled you! It was Ronnie Wood on bass.

  • @cciemail Wood, right. Thanks.

  • The Rolling Stones have stood the test of time. All time favorites through every era and decade.

  • Dang! I love this song, but I can't watch this video. It makes me feel as though I'm going to seize.

"you could be mine all mine" Uhh, uhh, uhh, uhh!

  • What a GREAT tune!!

  • yes,you could be mine!!!!

  • u2 sucks watch south park and youll know the truth about bono... bono is a douche bag that was born a piece of poop. he tries so hard to be a number one only because he is in denial because he is a #2 ( big turd)

  • @MODEMBIKER19 Amen my friend! You hit the nail on the head...Bono sux! I used to be a die hard U2 fan but not anymore!

  • please!!!! u2 rules? get a fucking clue!!!

we are talking about scholars here.

not a bunch of fucking posers who p[lay pop

music and jump around like a bunch of wounded ducks.

    get the fuck outta here...

  • does anyone know which version, the full strobing or mixture of live stones with strobing was played on mtv more in the early 80s

  • Classic Stones....\m/

  • Back in 1980. we thought this was a real high-tech vid...THERMAL imaging?? Wow...that was normally used for cold-war espionage...complete with the CRT flicker...couldn't see it in the flesh, but then used to inexplicably show up on film...lol

  • I'd like to see this without the thermal. Any idea what's going on? Obviously the Stones performing but the dancers... look like strippers? Also, a guy (?) doing some crazy shuffle dance at the end?

  • stones 4 ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I still miss Brian.

  • love the strobing effect, thanks : )

  • @heru1966 yeah i dont think charlie watts gets enough recognition for his contributions to the stones music.

  • @adgato75 no he doesn't but what else is new lol

  • @heru1966 lol charlie watts is a superman in every way.

  • I must be stupid trying to watch this, but I like the song so much that when I found it I went straight to it, even after I read the warning. Well, at least I know where to go on YouTube if I want to induce an epileptic seizure again. My son found me frothing at the mouth and drooling on the floor with this video playing and after I came out of it he asked,"did you enjoy your LSD flashback dad?"

  • @tyme4mike Thanks for the laugh.

  • @cheswic Fuckin' A man! LOL Wasn't that a beaut? And here I am, back again, ready to do the "rubber chicken fuckstick flop" across my basement floor. Talk about masochistic huh?

  • @tyme4mike -jesus loves you eugene peterson bible

  • @heru1966 I thought Bill Wyman did a heck of job on bass on this song..until I read in his book that Ronnie played bass on it :( Still a great bass line.

  • @heru1966 I agree. I also always thought that Bill was excellent on bass on this song....until I found out in his book that its Ronnie playing guitar.

  • I'm epileptic and although strobes do not effect me, I did notice the warning on this video and want to say how thoughful that is to post. You may have saved someone's life. As far as the Stones tho....the greatest rock band of all time..they invented Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll!

  • I remember waking up at a rehab center after

surgery and saw this video on VH1 Classic

and since I was on Demerol and Morphine

this video really fucked me up That is one trip I will never forget. What a great day.

  • Stones rehearsed this in BOSTON 2002!! I would love to hear this LIVE!!

  • @Keithaholic1 The only live version I ever saw on a album was their 1981 live box set. To this day I have never heard of them ever performing it live.

  • @fronio89 They rehearsed EMOTIONAL RECUSE in 2002 BUT never played it

  • I feel a seizure coming on.

  • Song reminds me of having sex on red plush bedding surrounded by mood lights and smoke. I always thought this was a Bill Wyman bass line...it was actually Ronnie Wood playing it.

  • another stones song i like it

  • i love the stones.

  • this song is great from the stones i personally like it a lot xD

  • I love this song!

  • @LizLOVESTheBritish

so you're sayin you love mick?

  • @JLOZANO2: You're an idiot and that is the stupidest thing anyone has ever said in the entire of human history.

  • "uh huh-huh huh ..is this Predator?"

  • @gwbwla

is true, it seems a lot.

  • whoever told mick to go falsetto

  • Whoever did it deserves three internets and two weeks of presidency in the US.

  • ya mum told Mick to go falsetto

  • stones disco?

    stones crap?

    let me tell you sumthin'

this band has songs for days kid!

    they will outlast every single

    rock band who ever played

    RNR.stones rule !

  • @gibsongold1970 ------Damn you said it all!!! The Stones took every style and made it their own!

  • @gibsongold1970 -tree 63, benjamin gate, and u2 rule

  • @gibsongold1970 amen brother !! tell him how it is !! stones rule !!

  • Truth be told? Best crappy disco record out there...

  • Yeah. Ronnie. From "Faces". Boo.

  • I remember the first time I heard this song on the radio I thought it was the Bee Gee's and changed the station.

  • when i cryyyyyyy!!!

  • This is a classic the stones are fucking dope

  • Keith doesn't even play on this. It's just Mick and Ronnie (bass and guitar) plus Charlie and sax.

  • @beveragemart Ron Wood was/is so talented and wrote a lot of things that they didn't give him credit for.

  • @beveragemart Bobby Keys plays the sax.

  • hey blackberrycobbler4me the album is thesame as the song emotinal resxcue

  • riding across the desert on a fine Arab chaaaaaarger

  • what`s the name of the album this song is on. I got the forty licks cd but the song sounds shorter than this one

  • Emotional Rescue

Yeah, the Forty Licks version is shorter.

  • Good song, crappy video.

  • Great song from a great album of the same name.

  • Great song, but the thermo-vision is giving me a headache! LOL

  • I guess they must have been a little embarassed/insecure about doing a disco song - where else did they ever use "Full Thermo-Vison" lol.

  • I remember the era and it was all about how rock and roll was dead and everything was crappy soulless disco and when the latest Stones album turned out to be all disco it was like "ok, we give up, rock and roll is dead. Shut of the radio, stop going to bars, stay home and play oldies from now on. And all that was absolutely true - but in retrospect this is probably the best disco song ever and is actualy pretty musical and creative. So I have to say - kudos to the Stones for this.

  • This was the shyt when it came out cause I thin it actually defied all genres. I had this album and it was tha SHYT!!

  • @missasegei That's good that someone else thinks so. I had been looking for this CD since the Universal remasters came out in '09 everywhere and finally found it yesterday. I love when artists make a 180 turn in their music and the Stones did that on this CD by doing some disco tracks.

  • @JIF882 The album did have a very definitive 80's sound ..This is one of my favorite Stones albums of all time. This and "Some Girls"..

  • What memories of being a young lady

  • Riding across the Dessert On A Fine Arab Charger...Damn, what lyrics. Where did Mick and Keith come up with these words, ahhhhh, what beautiful, days. Laura Coleman was my girl and still think of her when I hear this. Bravo and thanks MIck, Keith and WJMTV for keepn memories alive.

  • Good Disco song.

  • happy birthday MICK!!!

  • does anyone know if this is on the 8 track cassette (this version, with the extra lines and music placed with the long version)?

  • Comment removed

  • one of my favorites stone's are remarkable when they want to be

  • At last, the song that was first released in 1979. on vinyl. The original. Thank you!

  • 1980

  • Back then this was cutting edge special effects.

  • Awesome Classic!!

    Thanks for the post!!

It's ok all. Folks like PAULLODEN, we have to pray for and typically are indecure people.

    Cheers!!

  • Hey Paullonden: I have to say that it's tough to accept your criticism of Emotional Rescue, seeing that you can barely spell. What does that say about your "critical" mind thought? Furthermore, if you don't like the album (not "all bum"), don't listen to it you knob!

  • Read my comment on the NON "full thermo vision"version of this vid, posted by "rollinstones"please Positive,....it was meant as a language joke, on 2:07 of that particular video. I know sometimes I'll make a spell fault.but luckily not as bad as the regular Y T watcher

    Positive greetings though ♫☺♫

  • Honestly, I see no reason why bad spelling would automatically infer that he has no capability for, as you call it, "critical mind thought." Or i cannot say that'd detriment his opinion either, cause it is after all, only an opinion.

  • I don't see how such snobby pricks like yourself consider themselves above the masses because of stupid factors as spelling or variances in opinions.

  • Just cause you love indulging and intoxicating yourself in the thought that you're better than someone it doesn't mean you have to make a complete douche of yourself online, by ripping someone apart for incorrect spelling or variances in spelling, as if such factors automatically bestows upon you not only the right but the duty to crack down on them for that, like you are better then them or some shit.

  • what albumn is this song on?

  • Emotional Rescue, 1980.

  • This all bum's called

    Failed Rescue

Only tracks 4 & 8 from this lousy allbum are listenable ☻▬

    (in my humble opinion,mind)

  • the rolling stones made something lousy!? hahahahaha ill do like if i didnt read your lousy comment.

  • Great song, my buddy used to call it Emotional Bar B Que!!! One of the finest Stones songs ever.

  • this song sooths my soul....

  • TEMAZOOOOOOOOOOO

  • This song is addictive....

  • This thermo vision version of Emotional Rescue is the version I am used to.

  • good song-loved it as a kid

  • they should make more vidoes like these today.

  • Funky and awesome

  • I agree. I remember being about 9 when this song came out. If just thrilled me. Great comment.

  • i really liked this album.

  • Wicked song, shame about the video quality though. The flashing lights give me a headache. Thanks to PressPlay2Go for sharing 5*

  • was this song in true stereo like the album version?

  • It's like being in the loony bin with the Stones, drugged up on Thorazine.

  • hahahahaha very true

  • I love the Stones but this video SUCKED!!!!!!

  • dire sound!

  • I really wonder how many people had seizures when this video came on, back in the day...yo.

  • I thought the flickering was from somebody filming a TV screen! You mean the original video flickered like that?

Holy coked-out 1980. LOL. You're probably right about the seizures.

  • I don't think its flashing fast enough for that.
