One more thing: Complex two thoughts, what were your thoughts about? That was by far my favorite. Not only we get to hear all of their singing at its uniquest and best, but when you look at the lyrics, it is also one of the most compelling. Its as if female ranma is talking about how it feels to have one mind but two spirits, one male and one female, and they both love and care for akane.

Thank you for giving such a great analysis of doco. Is it okay if I ask a few short questions?

1) Did you also notice that while the kids were running by in the first romance song with soun, a young version of girl ranma was with them?

2) In a slightly sloping hill, why and how was shampoo and female ranma helping the others spy on male ranma and ryoga? That was weird. They didn't really split at the end of the recording for love letter from china.....did they?!

Great video! In defense of Doco USA they were not trained singers. Japanese seiyuu are selected from deeper talent pool. Voice acting in the West is not as high a status as it is in Japan. And concerning music, the 90's and most of the present decade was dead musically. It is only recently that some decent bands have started to appear. Hey - have a great holiday season yourself! That was an interesting take on the "Kagayaku Sora yo Kimi no Koe" music video. I always saw it more as Ranma spends all this time rejecting his female qualities but he finally manages to find happiness by recognizing that they are a part of who he is too (Craziness comes from rejecting his yang. Balancing it with his yin creates happiness)

Great video, but I felt you were a bit hard on the American translation of "Equal Romance". While hardly as listenable as the Japanese, it was a bit more appropriate to the moment where 5 girls (well 4 plus Ranma) were karaoke singing the song. I think it's rare for a karaoke session to sound professional like the Japanese version did.
