  • Thanks for the video man, seems pretty obvious how to strip the mags just from looking at them, but like you said there's not one up here on the YouTube lol. Good job!!

  • how many coils do 20 and 10 round magazines have?

  • @skipper150 at the front of the vid you can see the 20 rd coils. Dunno about the 10s as I have no use for them.

  • Thanks alot, everyone i have talked to just just throws the mag out because they say a gun store charges to much to replace the spring. i think they are nut's a spring is much cheaper than a new mag.

  • @pfcajwatkins Wow... find a better gun store. That's ridiculous. 8-0

  • Jeff, nice work. A LIGHT coat of oil is okay on the spring. That's how they are lubricated at the factory.

  • Thanks, Different. I fumbled my words during that section. I mention wiping the spring coils with a lightly oiled rag, but then I changed subjects and said "I wouldn't lube them personally" and I was referring to the mag body at that point. I'ts pretty dry around here though and I don't have to worry about rust.

You're the authority on M14 mags and I'd love to see a video showing the types/welds/identifying features of each, how to tell a fake, etc., based on your difinitive work. 8-)

  • Jeff, I'd love to make some videos on identifying M14 magazines. I just need a videographer in Las Vegas.

  • Nice video! Thanks for taking the time to make it.

  • You're welcome. Glad you liked it. :)
