During this sequence, I was hoping and praying the Lakers would pull off the greatest comeback in playoff history, after a 27-point deficit..but, it proved too high a mountain to climb..even after the thunderous 14-0 run..
adelman in so upset this entire game because it is widely known that right before this game (after kings' win in game 2), phil jackson went to the league's office to make complaints about the kings' 'illegal defense' on shaq- stern agreed, and told the refs, and the rest is history. adelman would never do behind-the-back shady ass shit like that and THAT Is why he is upset.
@toofresh91 you know what I don't get? How is that you guys feel game 6 was fixed because of ticky tack calls but yet clearly this game has many ticky tack fouls going against the Lakers.....and that is ok???/ Shaq and Kobe already have 5 fouls.........wtf??? How is this any different from game 6?
@trickpanda trickpanda=idiotic, biased Kings fan who knows shit about basketball. Your story about Phil is BS btw, quit spreading lies you bitch. What Phil did was talk about it on the air and its Phil Jackson, show some respect for the Greatest of All Time you little peon. And yes, the Kings just hovered around Shaq, at times, 4 players hanging around Shaq, THAT IS ILLEGAL D, it used to be called all the time back in the day. Since you dont know anything about basketball, watch old games from
lol @ 6:20 Bill Walton starts to talk about how the lakers will come back. he says cut the lead in half from (26 to 13) . snapper jones says how in the world they havent hit shots today.
they go on a 14-0 run lol bill walton is the shiit
OK SO FAR: good officiating. The last few minutes of this clip show that the Kings were not ready to go to the finals. Look at all those terrible turnovers that resulted in the Lakers hitting a bunch of back to back 3's. 1:30, terrible call though. If you are going to call that kind of crap then everyone (especially Christie) should have already been fouled out of the game. 5:08, Adelman's a bitch. All he did was complain in that series. Kings were up by 26 and he is complaining? T that fool up.
Hated when Kobe was limited for the sake of lesser players. Shaq is 1 thing. He should get the ball. Fox had more isolations than Kobe did especially in the 1st half. George, Hunter and Horry handled the ball at times more than Bryant. Sorry that is wrong. Walton stated that the offense should run through Bryant as well in the 3rd quarter when Shaq is out. Phil with his socialist Triangle offense consistetnly negated this from happening.
Kobe has been my favorite player along with Chris Paul after Jordan retired in 98 but his play in this game is 1 reason why he is not on Mike's level. Jordan never backed down from a challenge and consistently make fundamental mistakes and play passively. Kobe was not attacking Christie on offense and drew a couple foolish fouls. Bad shots as well. Did not attack off the dribble or in the post. Phil is partially to blame too. Always limited Kobe in the half court for the secondary players.
Bill Walton can predict what will happen before it happens. Around the 8 minute mark, he said that if the Lakers could cut the lead in half the next 4 minutes, they'd only be trailing by a handful of points with 4 minutes to go. And that's exactly what happened
this stretch here proves why the Lakers were a better team, when the Kings keep throwing it away.....proof. Kings were ready to choke....
